Stopper, I have an honest question for you and I would expect an honest answer; Why do you frequent these boards? You are obviously not a fan of the Browns as even the most discouraged Browns' fan has something positive to add to a discussion once in a while. But, not you. I've seen some of your posts on other team boards and a lot of them are insightful and add to the conversation. But, not here. [notify]Tim[/notify]
Nothing insightful? I post on Pitt and Balt cause those 2 boards usually have convos going on frequently....I said I liked the Coleman pick, Manziel pick and Trubisky shuld b their guy and you disagree....does that make you not a Browns fan? These boards are all opinions so techinically you, me or anybody else isnt exactly right...just cause I predict 2-6 heading into their bye week is not what you want to hear doesnt make it unacceptable....hell thats doubling their win total from last yr half way through the yr....wuld u rather me write their going 16-0 and then have Irish tell me thats why your not respected on these boards like hes the king of message boards? I will say this i watch football 24/7 and enjoy the game a great deal and the Browns are just not a good team....I dont sugar coat it and say this guy did well(Kessler) when his team went 0-8 as a starter....isnt that the bottom line Ws and Ls?
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora "continues to hear" that coach Hue Jackson and his staff is "all in" on Myles Garrett at No. 1, but the front office and owner Jimmy Haslam is leaning more toward Mitchell Trubisky. The "owner badly wants a QB," according to La Canfora. Haslam was said to be the one who banged the table for Johnny Manziel a couple years back, and that obviously backfired terribly. Maybe Haslam should consider refraining from meddling in personnel decisions and try and let his staff turn around this franchise. However, it sounds like the front office is also in his corner on this one, wanting a potential franchise passer. Garrett is a legitimate game-changer, and the "football guys," as in the coaching staff, know it. EVP Sashi Brown spoke earlier this week and hinted the pick will either be Garrett or Trubisky.
You know the answer to that question. He just enjoys kicking people when they're down. The problem is he does it so often he loses track of what he says. One week before the draft last year... And then when the Browns draft Coleman...
[notify]showstopper[/notify]... I'd take anything La Canfora posts with a huge grain of salt. The guy is an incorrigible pot-stirrer and Browns malcontent. He's also been one of the loudest voices for a Garoppolo trade that more respected writers/analysts have poo-poo'd. Canfora's whole argument about "wanting a QB" is predicated on the Browns still making a trade for Garoppolo on draft day which Sashi Brown flat out refused to do during his press conference. Obviously teams aren't going to telegraph their moves, but Sashi is a straight-shooter and if the tape of his 2016 pre-draft presser shows us anything, it's that he's at least honest, if not forthcoming. Jimmy Haslam, one would hope, learned his lesson championing the team to take "his guy" with Manziel which led to ruin. And if he doesn't, certainly his wife is there to reel him in.
Where to start . . . You say you liked the Coleman pick. You say Trubisky should be their guy. Bully for You! Being insightful would be to add why. Top Dawg also likes those two guys but he has the stones to say WHY he likes them. TD also liked Manziel. But he was man enough to admit he was wrong. You? You now use Manziel as a prime example of the Browns ineptitude. You call Irish the " king of the message boards". Irish is one of the most respected posters on this site because he backs up his opinions with research, data and logic. You, on the other hand, drop your little pearls of wisdom on this board like a drive by shooting. You don't seem to have a problem explaining your opinions on the Ravens or Steelers boards but you never (rarely) do that here. So, yes, on this board you post nothing insightful. Why is that? [notify]Tim[/notify]
He literally says in his first post the F/O wants Trubisky at No. 1, but then two posts later says no one is banging the QB drum. Besides... I'm pretty sure his guy in the Browns got fired a while back. Probably working off old information and trying to keep his Garoppolo hopes alive.
Ive already stated why they shuld take Trubisky...probably bout a month ago...I watch film and do my own research...whether you, Irish or TD agree I dont care cause every person has their own eye for talent....Im sure TD knows I have pushed Trubisky from the start of the draft discussions but you want to try and cause problems w why? I have giving my opinions on a lot of guys and if you fail to read or comprehend that I cant help you
My guess is he keeps @ Tim so u can kick me off or ban me for whatever reason....I guess only his opinion matters
Wrong on both guesses. If only my opinion mattered, you would never have been brought back after the first time you got banned.
Stopper, don't act as if you were the only one that thought Conklin was a good prospect? A bunch of people did. He was rising up boards faster than anyone leading up to the draft.... Seemed like he was pretty popular, and he became even more popular right before the draft, when pics of Laremy Tunsil and his infamous bong mask surfaced... I'd say Lyman's description of the majority of your posts here was very accurate...How many times have I been upset with those antagonistic "drive-by"-like posts that we have all grown accustomed to seeing from you? Too many. That's for sure.. I love talking football, and I don't expect us all to agree and sing Kumbaya together, but simply throwing jabs out, in the manner you do a lot of the time, instigates an already suffering fan base...You can't tell me that you aren't aware of that...just admit, you like to stir shit....When things go particularly bad for the Browns, that's when you like to come in with a zinger that pisses everyone off even more...
Nobody on this board wanted Conklin...it was Wentz, Zeke and Bosa....I pegged him right away....he was a complete OT in both pass and run blocking....here's whats funny...when I say something negative it turns into being a troll but if you, Lyman etc say it...all is good So it was my fault Hue decided to kickoff vs Miami and the Browns def let them go down the field and score a TD to end the game and I come on and write what a bone headed mistake or Hue going for 2 pts down by 9 pts and criticizing him again when 99% of the people know you kick the XP
Thought it was obvious. Before he was a Brown he was the next AB. But when the Browns draft him he has poor hands and was a mistake.
