Could the Browns make a trade for a starting QB this off season? Yahoo sports reported that the Browns or Saints could be in line to trade for Patriots QB Garapollo. The Browns have the picks to do it and the Hoodie is blowing him up in every interview he does. After watching Peppers more closely against my Bucks I still think he is a very athletic kid that can play multiple positions but I still would take a pass rushing outside guy like Garrett 1st if I'm taking a defensive player with that pick. I watched QB Trubisky play in high school and only a few times in college. Next year if he stays he will face the Bucks in Chapel Hill. With that star studded defensive backfield I would like to see how he does in that game. I guess my mind is thinking either Garrett, Trubisky or Peppers with that 1st pick. DE-Garrett QB-Trubisky S/OLB- Peppers All play position of need. I would love to take a lineman there but none will be there at our 2nd 1st rd pick.
I dont see Peppers as a game changer w #1 pick....looks like he will struggle in coverage as evident w his 1st Int of the yr on a deflected pass....I dont even think hes top 10 honestly
Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile. The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do." He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?" Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up? "Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied. "Well I am in the gun shop next door to that."
Poor Jabrill Peppers. After saying Michigan would hit Curtis Samuel and test Ohio State physically, the linebacker-safety hybrid failed to lay a finger on Samuel during his game-winning romp to the end zone in double overtime. Michigan led by ten at one point, and Peppers registered the first interception of his collegiate career. But when the final whistle blew, he moved to?0-3 against his arch rival. Ohio State fans rushed the field, and in the immediate scrum, an Ohio State fan appeared to bump Peppers. After the two exchanged words, Peppers swung?and hit?the fan in the mouth. That's when Ohio State secondary coach Kerry Coombs intervened.? In Peppers defense, he just lost a bitterly contested game, and it's unclear what the Ohio State fan said. That doesn't excuse punching a guy in the face, but at least Peppers will likely be a multimillionaire in a few months anyway.
I had 2 free tickets to todays Browns game. I turned them down to go Christmas shopping with 1 of my daughters and ol lady. I wont spend until Jim Bob spends. I know some fool bought those tickets but it wasn't this fool. Came home and bought some Cavs tickets instead on-line. Want to watch winners! Spend on winners. LIKE THOSE BUCKEYES! Cream rises to the top. In the ESPN chase for cash game I'm 11-0 just picking against the Browns, lol 15-0 all together. They may help me win some money, lol although Odell Beckham is on my FFB team but so is Pryor. Remember Brownie fans JIMMY LOVES YOU! YOU ARE MAKING HIM A CHIT LOAD OF MONEY FOR THE WORST PRODUCT IN HIS BUSINESS!
I hear ya, Irish. That crap is why I'm just about ready to tap out of this site. It makes me a bit sad, but I think we're seeing the slow death of the Dawg Pound Lounge.
Much like the Browns . 6$ tics and still more Giants fans in the stadium . a crap product on the field and it concerns me . The bean counters and Hee Haw Haslam have to see this . Sad state of affairs
You misunderstood me, Bluez. I'm not giving up on the Browns. I have just grown weary of the same old drivel from two guys who were once banned for the exact same shit and then this site, in all their infinite wisdom, reinstates them so they continue to troll at will.
I'm working the bugs out of the "ignore poster" option. The button is available but there is an error I am attempting to correct.
Thank you, Tim. I feel the pain of the Browns fans; in many ways it echoes what has happened to Bills fans. The team sucks, and then they suck worse, and then they suck some more. Then, a few luminaries decide they must enlighten us with "our team sucks". Browns fans have [del]probably[/del] gone through more torture than any other team. (At least there was only threats of the Bills moving.) Yet they remain passionate, and at times even buoyant. Please do not allow a few to drive away some of the best posters on L4S. Please do not allow the DPL to become as sterile as the Bills boards.
When we first opened the boards we used the input from different posters on how to best manage problems between users. In the process, there were several members that were banned because of personal issues that we were not aware of. Because of this, there were people that were immediately alienated and pushed out without any clear violation of the rules. Personal bias no longer is part of the process. Warnings are issued when rules are broken and bans are administered when violations are clear or repeated, depending on severity.
Hey everybody! Long time, no talk. Sorry... got really busy and completely checked out. I just wanted to drop by, wish everyone a belated Thanksgiving, and see what the collective thoughts were on this dismal season. How are we holding up?
Sorry to back-track, but was re-reading and found a few I liked and wanted to give my two cents on. I'm not so sure we can pinpoint just one thing that's going wrong this season. Hue certainly has made some mind-boggling calls and his game plans have certainly not been flawless, but the counter to that is to look at the hand he's been dealt. I'm not ready to throw the towel in on anyone -- besides Ray Horton -- just yet. My larger concern is that Hue is the guy he was hyped up to be and the roster is in such poor shape that 0-12 is the best we've got thus far. I guess you could say I'm leaning towards that direction today for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it's incredibly difficult to pick talent, pick talent that fits the scheme, and manage a roster in the first place. Throw in years of failed drafts and failed free agency, in addition to a gameplan of "blowing it up" and accumulating tons of picks in the draft and you're left with a bad starting spot. What's been most discouraging thus far (for me) is that we have 14+ rookies on this team and not one has been a consistent success. Ogbah has shown flashes, Coleman has shown flashes, Briean Boddy-Calhoun has shown flashes... but not one rookie has really stood out yet. That's on the F/O and the draft. Spoiler Disclaimer: I do think it's too early to judge the draft for the most part and given the short-cycle most of the F/O had to put a draft board together, I'm not surprised. More anxious that we'll have 12 - 14 picks in April and desperately need to come away with multiple impact players. #1 overall needs to be an All-Pro within the first two or three seasons.
