I'm glad to hear that Hue feels the same way I do on that. Kessler is very efficient in the short game, but we have to get more vertical. Allthough, after re-watching that debacle from Sunday, I noticed that Kessler missed on a couple deep attempts where the WR was more to blame. These guys can't quit on their routes. Coleman looked confused when he slowed up on a deep ball in the first half that should have been picked ,after he did that, but we got lucky when the Dallas safety dropped it. I've seen it happen with Pryor a couple times as well as Louis. They absolutely hang the QB out to dry when they don't finish the route. This is all fairly typical stuff when you are revolving QB's and offensive personel the way the Browns have. At this level of football though, it's unexcusable in my book. I coached my little league flag football receivers to FINISH THE ROUTE. The QB is not a mind reader. Turnovers happen when WR's are not where they are supposed to be...
This was one of my knocks on Coleman when we were discussing WRs prior to the draft. At Baylor if the play wasn't specifically designed to go to him, he didn't participate in the play...I was pessimistic that he would translate to the NFL because of that. I only hope he matures enough to realize the pro game requires multiple options for a QB to go to based on reads, not the play design to the first option. Until he realizes that, he will be fairly useless.
U mentioned every team is giving max effort and I said that should b the case whether it's the Browns or Pitt unless it's week 16 and they are just resting their starters so they are healthy 4 the playoffs...I'm so confused how that is trolling
Like I said a couple weeks ago Kessler is Mr check down and people went crazy...I study and watch the game not look through blinders
If you don't understand what I meant about how, often times, last place teams get overlooked, but I don't think that'll happen for the Browns, then I can't help ya bud.... Of course every team SHOULD give max effort every week. What does that inane obvious statement have to do with ANYTHING that I was talking about?????? You ARE a troll.. Own it! Are you really gonna sit there and act all oblivious, like you have never seen an overconfident team get beat because they took the cellar dwellar lightly?? It happens ALL THE PHUQING TIME!!! I was just pointing out that I don't expect that to happen for Cleveland, for reasons I've already mentioned....Since then, you've been trying to spin it into something it isn't...If that isn't trollish, what is?
Oh now I understand, ur trying to convince yourself the Browns are better than they are and teams dont over look them because their a good team....how bout this mayb teams look at it like I can help w my incentive clauses cause I can rack up stats vs this team...mayb thats their motivation....I played 4 Mount Union(not NFL I now) and we NEVER had that approach vs a team like Capital or some bottom dweller cause we had bigger goals ahead of us...mayb thats why they have lost 1 game since '94 in their conference....dont u think they wuld slip up once here or there in over 20 yrs....I just dont get why its so hard to see this team has very little talent and they did it to themselves cause they culdnt draft or develop their guys...its that simple and this yr doesnt look any better...just ask Els he will tell you lol
RIGHT! Instead of BUST FOR BOSA! My new slogan is STICK WITH MULTIPLE PICKS! I'm figuring this team needs 2 O-Lineman, 4 defensive backs and 1 OLB.
No but I believe you build your line 1st then do what you have to do to get a QB. There is not a QB coming out that is worth the #1 pick. Look at Luck and Indy. His line sucks. The 5 QBs is not good enough proof of that?
And yet...your suggestion at every turn is to trade away one of the (if not THE) best LT in the entire NFL..You're so full of BS Sadly, I agree about the QB, I don't see one to build a NFL team around...
Smh....Keep spinning. I just love how you throw out dumbass lines like the one's that I highlighted, and act like your the only knowledgeable poster. WHO thinks we are a good team???? Who is having a hard time seeing that we are low on talent because this team hasn't drafted well???? WHO???? Don't address me, when nothing in your response has anything to do with what I was talking about....I can't believe you really still don't get the simple little point I was making about being over-looked. lol!! Please don't respond. Just STHU...
Nope cause it made no sense at all...it's like ur begging teams 2 over look them so the Browns can get a win..lol..it doesn't hide the fact if they win a game their problems disappear..YOU made the comment they had a chance vs Dallas not anybody else...2nite they have a 30% chance but they had no chance vs Dallas
Stopper, you can keep tryin to stomp out my optimism, but you just don't get it. Regardless of record, I do see some positives with this football team. There is reason for optimism...Obviously the plan in Cleveland is to build this thing right. They have acquired a bunch of draft picks and moving forward the plan looks good to me. They have a stud WR that our coach pulled out of nowhere in Terrelle Pryor. Corey Coleman is just getting started. He and Kessler will play their 2nd game together tonight. You can call Kessler "Captain Checkdown" all you want, but I've been fairly impressed with him. His footwork looks good. His accuracy is spot on. Yes, he needs to get the ball downfield more, as our coach expressed this week. He's had ONE game with Coleman on the field. Let's give him a chance. It takes time..... Is our defense a mess, particularly in the secondary? YES. Do we have the commodities necessary to address those shortcomings in the offseason? YES. There IS reason for optimism with the Cleveland Browns...No matter how hard the naysayers try to tell us otherwise. We will be a tough out again next year. But in two years, I believe we will be the team to watch out for. We will be the ones pushing people around. Even with our depleted roster this season, the Browns have shown grit and competitiveness for the most part. Dallas and New England are clearly a cut above no doubt...But even at 0-9, this team will battle to the end, and I'm not worried about matching Detroit in futility. We will win a game soon....Maybe real soon.
The Browna are 0fer w Joe Thomas this yr so why not trade the guy cause obviously he isn't helping u win games...its been that way his whole career...mayb w his trade u find a guy that can actually score TDs or stop the other team from scoring TDs...last week big Joe Thomas and gang opened up huge running lanes 4 their starting RB w 6 carries gaining 4 yds smh
btw stopper....Everyone knows Kessler had a tendency to checkdown a lot at USC. Did you want a medal for calling him Captain Checkdown? Which is just stating the obvious once again....Who went crazy when you called him that? Nobody, because that was the scouting report on him. He's accurate and efficient, but the high completion percentage is considered due to his checkdowns...That's why he's being told by his coach to take more chances down the field...
Or find another guy that lets defenders get through the line and sack the QB or tackle the RB behind the line of scrimmage.... IT TAKES A TEAM Stopper...that's my point...trading away EVERY commodity you acquire, which is what this team does every time a new regime is put in place, leaves the cupboard bare with ONLY Joe Thomas left behind to build a team. You must ADD to the roster, not simply replace every guy every year in hopes that in a single year you happen to get all the pieces all at once. As soon as Bitonio went down, the running game has gone to hell. Before he was hurt, this team had the 2nd best rushing game in the NFL...injuries have meant moves on 4 of the 5 positions weekly. Impossible to maintain any semblance of cohesion with that kind of movement on the line. And your football intelligence maintains, that is Joe Thomas fault, so trade him...SMH
Well go back and look and u will see negative remarks 4 my post so I guess people give negative remarks just 2 give them...is that the kind of QB u want?
No my football intelligence stated mayb w a trade u can get a player that can score TDs or prevent TDs....here we go w after a couple weeks telling us the Browns were great at running the football w Bitonio but now that he is hurt they can't do it...u just stressed TEAM above but single out Bitonio and why they can't run the ball....I seriously have no clue how some people survived this team since '99...there is EVERY excuse in the book except the fact that they lose more games than anybody who has played since 99
^^Dallas lost their starting QB, KC lost their starting RB, NE didn't have Brady cause of susp every team deals w injuries throughout a yr
