I'll double up on the draft talk...The Eagles are starting to fade, we will end up with a pick from them around #16-19...take OT Cam Robinson who will slide into the RT position and learn from a future HOFer and slide over to the left in 5 years when Joe retires a Brown WITH a Super Bowl ring.
I say no to a QB high in the draft .Not a one has been lights out IMHO . lets roll with Kessler and build around the kid . we have lots of problems QB play isn't one of them . If not Garret then Cooper from BAMA ? I don't want to trade down to far . we need impact players . Hooker would be high on my list along with Peppers from Meat chicken . They need to hit on most of the picks to turn this fugly thing around . Lombardi and Farmer set us back into the dark ages by missing on there picks . I watched some of the Raiders game last night and though Carr & Mack would look good in Cleveland . the Raiders got the draft I wanted that year . instead the dumbass picked the Weasel & Gilbert :!
They are a 7 win team maybe . Wentz has cooled off considerably .so that should be another high pick in the Browns back pocket .
Of course you won't agree. You're a troll. As for Bluez, he actually contributes to a conversation rather than just bashing. He's earned the right to be pissed off and complain as a fan of the team. Again, you failed to read anything or just failed to comprehend what has been said many a time................ Let's start with what "comprehension" means...... Comprehension means understanding what you read...(and remembering it).......... Maybe you should try a 30-day free trial of ABCmouse.com
Browns coach Hue Jackson isn?t happy about what?s going on right now, but he?s not firing people either. In addition to sticking with quarterback Cody Kessler, Jackson told reporters Monday he wasn?t planning any changes to his coaching staff, either. Asked specifically about defensive coordinator Ray Horton?s status, Jackson made it clear there would be no overreactions. ?I say that with no question,? Jackson said, via Pat McManamon of ESPN.com. ?And I don?t want to continue to get into those kind of things. That?s probably the last question I will probably take on any of our staff members about their job. Because it?s not about that at all, in my opinion.? The Browns are giving up 30 points per game, and looked incapable of slowing the Cowboys at all yesterday. They had five scoring drives of at least 64 yards, and now the Browns have to go to work for a short-week game against the Ravens. ?I?ve never been 0-9 before, so you better believe this is the toughest challenge I?ve ever had,? Jackson said. ?But I am excited about the challenge. I truly believe we have a tough road ahead of us, but we?re looking forward to it.? And he?s looking forward to finishing with the guys he started with.
I know Hue stays loyal to his people, but somebody needs to simplify the defense or something. These guys are obviously not understanding Horton's plan. They were lost all day yesterday just as they have been for most of the season. It's not a "lack of talent" on defense, when every damn receiver is open by 5 yards. It's a lack of understanding where the hell they are supposed to be. Jason Witten is probably a HoF'r, but he's in the twi-light of his career, and he doesn't dominate games like that anymore., It was ridiculous. There were no Cleveland defenders within 5 yards of any of his receptions. He's not that explosive. It just felt like they could get whatever yardage they needed, whenever they needed, with very little resistance. If that doesn't put the defensive coordinator on the "hot seat", then what does?
Bluez, I agree with a lot of what you said bro....I can't believe it's been this bad for THIS freakin long. They really have put on an exhibition in "how to kill a brand" in Cleveland when it comes to our Browns....But ya gotta forget about the whole ticket thing and stop crushing Cleveland fans for that. If I had season tics to the Browns, I guarantee I'd be selling them. It's a significant financial commitment for most folks to take the family to an NFL game. If we are looking at results like we've had the last two weeks, how can ya blame people for selling? Do you really think this would even be an issue if the Cleveland Browns were winning? They force outrageous prices on the fans. Ya can't blame them for "cutting bait" on this rebuild from hell... The World Series was an anomaly. For every Tribe fan on this planet, there are 50 Cubs fans. Factor in the 108 year drought, plus the laws of "supply and demand", and that's what happens...You can't roast the fans of Cleveland for that either.
13 Buckeyes came out last year. That group of Buckeyes won 54 games in a very short time. If they passed on both Bosa and Elliot then why in the hell would they take Hooker. 13 Buckeyes came out on a team that lost 4 games in 3 years and the Money Ball guys don't take 1 of them. Told you all..... BUST FOR BOSA! Irish didn't I say something about how the Raiders are building a good team over there? Are you going to jump all over Bluez right now for the same thing. The Browns could of had WR Evans, QB Carr and DE Bosa right now. Sounds a lot like Carr, Cooper and Mack to me. If you stay at #1 then draft Garrett. Someone has to get to the QB. I wouldn't put it past these guys to trade out and get multiple picks again. NO QB WORTH TAKING AT #1.
My eyes are rolling on that..... Thanks a bunch Captain Hindsight. Your keen knowledge on the Raiders rebuild is amazing....Not sure why you are calling out Irish over it, but you are the king of telling us all who the really good players are AFTER the world already knows who the really good players are....Keep up the good work. It's completely useless, but comical none the less....
Zeke had a really good 4 week span...other than that hes been ok except for last week(over 5 YPC and 2 TDS)...Dallas has played a soft schedule so far w their only loss coming against a team above .500...Prescott has been pretty consistent but we will see how he finishes or if he finishes as Romo is nearing a comeback...destroy my nonsense...if that makes u happy I guess so lol
BUST FOR BOSA, BABY! Top Dawg, Want a T-shirt,lol I mean you bought into what the NFL and Haslam is selling you,lol PS........ JUST WIN BABY!!!!!
"Mark my words: that Joe Montana kid from Notre Dame is going to be a hall of famer some day." -Els, April, 2016
What does that mean Els? What exactly did I buy? lol! Just keep mindlessly rambling on bro... I just mentioned that if I had tics to Browns games, I'd be trying to sell them, and that ya just can't blame Browns fans for doing exactly that... But I don't own tics because the Browns haven't sold me anything. Are you trying to call me out because I said I believe the Browns will win a game? smh....You and stopper can act as if it's an absolute impossibility all you want...I don't give a shit. The Browns are incredibly unlucky, or they would already have a couple wins. I know what they are capable of. Hell they've had 4th quarter leads in 4 or 5 games, but they are mistake prone. This is what young teams have to go through. Normal fans understand that. There is NO QUESTION that they have enough talent to win a game... What I don't understand is, we pretty much all were in agreement before this season even started that there just wouldn't be many wins. So now that we are in the middle of the season and struggling as expected, you trolls come with bullshit like your little T-shirt taunt....It doesn't even make sense, but it does make you seem like a real tool.
Another thing to keep in mind....Nobody is looking past the Browns like is normally the case with the bottom feeding teams. We are getting every teams' max focus, because nobody wants to be that team that loses to the Browns. It's unfortunate, and a helluva lot of it is media driven, but that's how things go for the Browns...We are the polar opposites of the defending champion team that everybody is gunning for; We are the 0'fers that nobody wants to lose to. smh....And we get no slack whatsoever within the division either. With everyone piled up at around .500, nobody can afford a slip-up against Cleveland... Nothing is ever easy for this team. I understand the pessimism to a degree, but holding "Moneyball" responsible for all Ray Farmer's mistakes is senseless...It's gonna take time. Clearly, this isn't an easy fix. No GM ever set his team back as far as Farmer did IMO....We gotta be patient and give these guys a fair shot to turn it around. They have piled up the draft picks, lets see what they can do with them. Who knows? We might already have our QB of the future on the roster... uh oh...there I go being optimistic again.
Never once did I say they wuld go 0-16...heck I thought they wuld win week 2 vs Balt...whether they go 0-16, 2-14 it doesn't matter this is a BAD football team...lets b honest Dallas culd have won 50-10 if they wanted and same w NE...Dallas, Balt, Jets, Philly and Cincy completely shut them down in the 2nd half so that tells me Hue is having trouble making adjustments but what do I know I'm only trolling around cause I have no clue what I'm talking bout
Sorry but this comes off as a complete sympathy post...everybody wants 2 beat the Browns...how bout every team should want 2 win every game on their schedule unless ur resting guys 4 the playoffs...so winng a game when a team over looks the Browns makes them better?
The Browns are sticking with Cody Kessler as their starting quarterback when they head to Baltimore on Thursday night, but coach Hue Jackson would like to see something different from the rookie this week. Kessler has thrown 16 passes of more than 20 yards in his six starts and he?s completed just four of them, which is far worse than his overall completion percentage of 67.5 this season. Hitting on those shorter passes isn?t putting enough points on the board, though, and Jackson wants to see that change over the second half of the season. ?Are you asking do I want to see the ball go down the field more? Yes, I do. It needs to,? Jackson said, via Cleveland.com. ?That?s the way we score more points. Cody?s done a good job of distributing the ball and he?s done a good job of putting the ball in the right places for the most part, but he knows now that in the NFL you have to take a few more chances to score points because the defenses are too good. We have to always stay aggressive and push the ball when we can because it gives us a chance to have big plays and make big plays.? If Kessler is able to find more success throwing long, it would help his chances of being a long-term starter in the NFL and there?s little reason for the Browns not to try because the rest of this year has to be about finding players who can be that. If you?re looking for reasons to believe it can happen, Kessler has only played one game with Corey Coleman and the rookie wideout?s return to health alongside Terrelle Pryor could open up more options in the weeks to come.
This team has the same problems it had to start the season. We still haven't put a franchise quarterback on the roster. We still haven't fixed the holes in the OL. We still haven't fixed the secondary. We still need more pass rush and we still need more depth at DL. There's no way I am putting this on Hue or John this season. How can you possibly blame either of them for the results on the field considering the players they have to put on the field?
Wth? This is just another prime example of trolling stopper....The "no team wants to lose to the Browns" line was just an observation. One that I think has a lot of truth to it, but you can think whatever you want. "sympathy post"? lol......I said right at the beginning of the post that it was just something to keep in mind. The rest of your BS about "resting players", and every team wanting to win every game, is just drivel that has nothing to do with anything that I was talking about...
