Browns wide receiver Greg Little was ticketed for speeding on Monday night, and now he has a ticket to his head coach's office.

It seems Little has a problem with driving too fast.

Little was also cited for expired plates after he was pulled over for going 81 MPH in a 60 MPH zone, and on Wednesday Cleveland's WOIO 19 Action News started digging into Little's driving record. It found that Little was fined $350 last April when he admitted to driving 127 MPH and losing control of his vehicle. Somehow, he came away from that incident unscathed, but his vehicle hit a guardrail and knocked down a light pole.

WOIO also found that Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has received two speeding tickets since May, most recently one for going 98 MPH in a 60 MPH zone on Aug. 13. A warrant for Gordon was issued in May after he failed to appear in court May 24, two weeks after Cleveland Police ticketed him for driving 45 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.

Wednesday evening the Browns issued a statement that read: "We're aware of the situation involving the players and their unacceptable driving records. We take matters such as this very seriously. We've spoken to both individuals, and will address the issue with the entire team."

It's unclear if Elias Sports Bureau tracks team releasing statements on players "unacceptable driving records," but this could be a first.

It's certainly not the first time Little has had to deal with police. WOIO also reported Little's had past trouble after he was cited for using fictitious plates and didn't appear in court. When Little played college football at North Carolina, he somehow racked up 93 parking tickets.

Those were my somewhat optimistic projections for the upcoming season Lym...

Sure I'm drinkin the kool aid....but why not? Your bet seems to be about fantasy football production, right? I would take Weeden over Roethlisberger, plain and simple....Ben is a good QB, but not a good fantasy QB, and besides, I think the Steelers are going to suck this year.... Fantasy wise, I see alot more upside with Weeden....but hey, maybe that's just me.

Lyman I think you made a great deal. Pitt hasn't got the WRs, the line or the running game to be very effective offensivsly. I think Ben is a pretty good QB, a top tenner, but this isn't likely to be his year.

The big wildcard is injury. Is there any allowance for one or the other going down? Gotta believe Ben is going to be more vulnerable here with a weak line, and mediocre recieving corps.

I like your chances, but that's mainly from preseason madness. Seeing our O actually score, Weeds look not even average, but Good! It may be a mirage, but something I believe is true, Weeds will be better than last year, has abetter recieving corps, and hopefully a better backfield (crossing fingers for Trent to stay healthy). Ben uh not so much. Hard to see him having a year to brag about.

But then I've been wrong before................. after, during, etc...........

I hope there is nothing to this story and it does not lead to bigger issues with the Haslam family owning our team. I think they have done wonderful things with the Browns, but this news just doesn't look good. Ugh!

lets hope Haslam didn't step into a bigger pile with this move .

Lyman no problem with your bet .i saw that .

ContactFeedsAdvertisingPrivacy PolicyPFT GearTicketsEffort to question Jimmy Haslam in Pilot Flying J lawsuits heads to court today
Posted by Mike Florio on August 22, 2013, 10:10 AM EDT

APAs the criminal investigation regarding the company run by Browns owner Jimmy Haslam continues to percolate quietly, the civil litigation is proceeding. Loudly.

Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the effort to force Haslam to testify in one of the pending civil cases will land in court today.

Pilot Flying J?s lawyers undoubtedly will point to the settlement of a nationwide class action against the company as the reason to delay any other lawsuits that have been filed. There?s a persuasive argument to be made that these other lawsuits should remain in idle while the settled class action continues to move toward an official conclusion. Because all Pilot Flying J customers can ?opt out? of the proposed settlement and file their own claims, it makes sense to let the dust settle on the settlement before allowing the other cases to proceed.

Of course, the more important objective for Haslam at this point is to avoid having to testify under oath unless and until he knows whether he?ll face criminal charges. Federal prosecutors have secured seven guilty pleas from Pilot Flying J employees, and the authorities seem to be working their way as high up the ladder as they can. It makes no sense to put Haslam in the position of having to involve the Fifth Amendment in a civil case before he knows whether he needs to worry about anything he says being used against him in a criminal case.

Meanwhile, real questions are being raised about the legitimacy of the nationwide settlement. The class action that quickly settled in Arkansas was filed by National Trucking Financial Reclamation Services, a company that was launched a week after authorities raided Pilot Flying J headquarters. National Trucking Financial Reclamation Services shares an address with the Arkansas Trucking Association. Pilot Flying J is a major contributor to the Arkansas Trucking Association.

With the proposed settlement refunding customers the amounts that Pilot Flying J failed to pay (some would say ?stole?) over an eight-year period plus six-percent interest and attorneys? fees, the settlement arguably fails to reflect the true value of the cases, given the possibility of treble damages and/or punitive damages. Recently, Pilot Flying J lawyer Aubrey Harwell defended the settlement.

?While I truly believe there is no downside, there are those who might suggest a downside is that a customer who participates in the settlement cannot also pursue its [own] claims in a separate lawsuit,? Harwell said. ?Some also may argue that a customer has a chance to pursue additional damages not included in this settlement. Those damages are uncertain and would require the expense of hiring a lawyer and the need to participate in a long, drawn-out legal process that could take years to conclude, with a possibility of achieving a net recovery [after fees and expenses] of less than that which will be paid to customers who participate in the settlement.?

Technically, Harwell?s comments are accurate, and his defense of the settlement is predictable. Under the circumstances, however, Harwell is being a tad disingenuous. Pilot Flying J has been caught with both fists pressed to the bottom of the cookie jar. Even without litigation, the company embarked on an effort to refund customers who failed to receive the full amount of money owed as a result of the scam.

This isn?t a risk-reward situation for the Pilot Flying J customers. The bird already is in the hand. The Arkansas settlement cuts off the ability to chase the two (or more) in the bush. It also protects Pilot Flying J from the kind of massive award of punitive damages that could cripple the organization ? but that also could deter other companies from engaging in similar actions in the future.

Really, what deterrence comes from merely paying the money that wasn?t paid, plus interest and fees? That?s not the kind of worst-case scenario that will keep other businesses who think they?re smarter than their customers from engaging in fraudulent practices. The only way to send a message to the rest of corporate America is to make an example out of the company that was caught red-handed.

Haslam repeatedly has insisted that he knew nothing about the fraudulent conduct. While that may save him from ever having to go to prison, it arguably shouldn?t allow his company from engaging in the legal equivalent of changing a tire on an 18-wheeler, and rolling on.

As the hearing on the fairness of the settlement approaches (it?s set for November 25), look for the efforts to defeat the settlement to intensify, and for the lawyers representing customers who object to the settlement to try to get as many customers as possible to opt out

Don't know who to credit with this statement - or it could simply be the writer's own opinion. Either way, it comes across as someone who won't be happy unless a pound of flesh is taken.

Even if somehow Pilot Flying J is forced to pay punitive damages - there will be other companies down the road who will STILL try to pull the wool over their customers' eyes. Why? Because every company has someone who thinks they are smarter than everyone else. That, plus greed.

CSN Bay Area left 49ers backup QB Colt McCoy off its most recent 53-man roster projection.
McCoy has struggled his way through the preseason and camp, prompting the 49ers to sign used-up veteran Seneca Wallace. Injury prone and prone to throwing at his receivers' feet, McCoy could be running out of time in the league.

Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer.

It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. ...

Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails", "highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink". Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of:

    MOUNT & DO.

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research.

This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

BEREA, Ohio ? Oniel Cousins has played one NFL regular-season game at guard.

Right now, that qualifies as seasoned experience for the Browns, who are searching for help at the right-guard position with ankle injuries sidelining Shawn Lauvao and Jason Pinkston.

Coach Rob Chudzinski announced today the club will start the 29-year-old Cousins against the Indianapolis Colts in a preseason game on Saturday. Rookie Garrett Gilkey, who filled in admirably off the bench for Pinkson against Detroit last week, is also expected to see time with the first unit, the coach said. Many of the starters will play into the third quarter in the dress rehearsal game.

WHY ?????????? Cousins SUCKS big time . sign a guard ya morons . you have plenty of cap space ?????
