It was a - 2 before I countered one of them . reminds me of last year when I got - - - and more ----- every time I said something negative abut a former affluent talentless midget QB .
Tribe Facts: -The Indians have not trailed in a game for the last 53 innings. -If they win out (5 more to go) they will match their season high and franchise record of 14 straight wins, which they set earlier this year. -Only one team in 34 times has ever come back from being down 3-0 in a best of 7 playoff series, which was the 2004 Red Sox over the Yankees. 29 times out of those 34, the losing team failed to win a game (0-4).
The Browns (L-6) do not possess a margin for error Did you know the last time the Cleveland Browns started a season 0-6 was 1999? That's right, people. The horrifying truth is that this is a lousy start even for the Browns. Now, as I've written before, this is clearly the worst team in the league and to some extent by design. The front office has stripped down the roster and loaded up on future draft picks it hopes to use more effectively than its predecessors did. But Hue Jackson is coaching his tail off from a motivational perspective, and the players on the field don't think they're overmatched. One of the issues on Sunday was Jackson's decision to try a two-point conversion before he needed to. A small and debatable mistake, sure, but these Browns are going to have to be perfect if they're going to win -- even against fellow rebuilders like the Titans.
Browns placed FS Jordan Poyer on injured reserve with a lacerated kidney. He suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to Tennessee. Practice squad safety Ed Reynolds will take Poyer's spot on the active roster. With Poyer likely done for the year, Tracy Howard and Ibraheim Campbell will function as the Browns' starting safeties. *HELP*
Unbelievable what the Indians are doing and how they are doing it....Bauer's finger is gushing blood in the 1st inning, no problem. Francona just plugs in 6 different guys and gets it done anyway. lol! Amazing.... Now it's Kluber time! and he's bringin the broom today..... ROLL TRIBE!!! Let's put em' away.....the "Drone-boy" needs time to heal. smh.
That would mean I received a bunch of negatives since I began calling his being drafted stupid on the day they drafted him. LOL Could care less about negs too. Rok *BYE*
Agreed, Bluez. I'm seeing the effort on the field at every position, when lesser athletes would just give up and phone it in. Hue's doing a helluva job keeping their heads in every game. Rok *BYE*
Oh, and also... WOO HOO!!!!!!!! *DANCE* *BRAVO* ROLL TRIBE!!!! *YAHOO* *YAHOO* *DANCE* *DANCE* Rok *BYE*
I threw up on draft day after I saw the trade tracker knowing what the Browns did ..and I threw shit at my TV after I saw him strut onstage flashing a money sign .. no class little weasel !
I believe Tito just cost the Tribe a chance at the WS...he managed like we were desperate and put Kluber in a position he was never in during his career....now the rookie will get smashed next game and its up 2 Tomlin and Kluber on short rest again while Tor has their full arsenal of starters....win or loss IMO Tito just cost them a chance 2 advance and I hope Im wrong
Just so I'm understanding...We sweep the Royals to secure home field....no comments from stopper......we sweep the Red Sox in a series that nobody gave us a chance.....no comments from stopper.....We go up 3-0 in dramatic fashion in the ALCS against the heavily favored Blue Jays.....Our manager is on top of the baseball world after pulling all the right strings throughout this incredible run...Nobody thought we would be ANYWHERE near this spot...Still no comments whatsoever from stopper...then we have one little hiccup (on the road) in game 4 of an ALCS that we are still totally in control of, and you are calling out our manager as the guy that cost us the World Series...lol! You're MO is so obvious...I'm embarrassed for you.
Hugh has done well so far keeping the faith with the players. Now it gets harder. Staring down an 0 and6 start sucks, and with injuries continually piling up, his job is going to be a lot more difficult. As to shedding JT and/or JH.... I don't see it making any sense. they have already cleaned house, that message is abundantly clear, so what would moving one of the few high quality guys do to help? Another draft pick? It's looking like we're going to be in a pretty strong position when the draft comes around already. I feel like JH is damaged goods, so I could see the argument, but then it also limits his value on the market, at the same time. Thomas would be immenently more tradable, but then the line has "no anchor", and almost no one playing the position they signed on for, which could lead to another 5 QBs injured. Too much to lose, IMO. We may not be QB shopping next draft, which given the crop, may be an advantage. This year Hugh's got the weight of the world on him now, at 0 and 6. I don't know what kind of fairy dust he has left, but he's going to need it now, like never before. Beating Cinci, would cure all ills. Can they do it?
Yes sir.....this decision ranks up there w Hue going for 2 pts....horrible decision when the Tribe had a 3-0 lead...btw my MO is I call like I see it and the Tribe is in deep trouble now cause Tito managed like he was in a desperate situation
Nope. You dwell on anything negative you can find to try and stir the real Cleveland fans. THAT'S your MO...but I will once again take the bait because I'm bored....So, you call it like you see it, huh? lol! That's a joke... Did you happen to see that Toronto's young superstar, Aaron Sanchez, completely dominated the game and held the Tribe to two hits all night? ...Did you see that, thanks to a dumbass and his drone, Francona is now down to just two starters remaining (#1 Kluber and #5 Tomlin) from the 5 man rotation that got us here?...Most would say, Tito IS in a desperate situation when it comes to his starting pitchers, but NOBODY should be second guessing him. He's the best manager in MLB and nobody knows this team better than him... Kluber pitched fine anyway. We didn't lose because of that decision. Dude gave up a HR to the reigning league MVP. It happens.. You aren't beating the Blue Jays when your offense can only muster 2 hits, it's as simple as that....The Tribe is resilient. There's no panic in this team. Is there concern? Hell yes. They have to start a total unknown in game 5 of the ALCS. Some kid named Merritt that only has one career start. Who knows what'll happen?...There is a reason why we are heavy underdogs in every game. Toronto is a powerhouse team with 4 stud pitchers that are all healthy. It's never going to be easy... Though I'm sure if the Indians can finish the deal and come up with a victory to advance, we won't hear a word from you about it. After all, what negatives will there be for you to dwell on about us going to the World Series?
Just not true bout negativity....Im rooting 4 the Tribe...yes they didnt hit and really havnt hit all series....if they win the series I will b the 1st to eat crow...u can bank on that
Stopper please....How can you say you don't dwell on the negative? Ask anyone. lol!....but anyway, I know they haven't hit. They didn't hit much against Boston either. Through all Francona's magic with the pitching staff, the thing that nobody has mentioned much (because we have pitched so effectively) is that our offense hasn't been clicking... Let me make this clear. I'm very concerned about the Blue Jays. They've got the guns to make the epic comeback,... I watch a lot of MLB and I know how good they are. Everyone talks about their thumpers, but it's their starting pitching that got them here. Happ, Estrada, Sanchez and Stroman are all capable of shutting down the bats....in fact, they were my preseason pick to win it all... I just don't see how can you second guess the master strategist of baseball, Terry Francona....Before last night, nobody could even remember the last time we lost a game, or even trailed in one, for that matter...So don't go blaming it on our manager the second that things don't go our way. That's weak. Is it Joe Maddon's fault that the Cubs' bats have gone completely silent? No. The players have to execute....Were you expecting us to sweep Toronto? lol! Even if we lose tonight, we still got two more shots at home, so don't play it up like we are in deeper trouble than the Blue Jays. They are ones facing elimination every game, not us...The Tribe hasn't lost 4 games in a row all season. They have great team chemistry and they bounce back after losses with the best of em, so don't wander too far away from that plate of crow....I'm aware Toronto isn't out of it, but I believe in spite of the devastating situation with our starting pitching, Francona will find a way to get it done...We weren't supposed to beat Boston. Playing on house money against the favorites is right where Tito wants to be....
Not to mention the Tribe was riding a 9 game win streak. And as we all know, streaks must end sooner or later and this ended against another ALCS team and not just the dregs of the league. On another note, the Indians are the only team in MLB this year that never lost more than 3 games in a row. Should bode well for wrapping the ALCS up in the next game or two. P.S. Stopper stop being such a douche. They were riding a 9 game win streak, are 6-1 in the playoffs, went up 3-0 against the Jays, hadn't trailed a team for 53 innings and now they lose 1 game and the sky is falling? Your argument is just as weak as your opinions. They used 6 pitchers to win game 3 when Bauer's finger threw a monkey wrench into the works. I bet if they had lost game 3, you'd have been spouting the same crap. However, they won and you were delayed by a game in spewing your usual contempt. We'll all have a nice little chuckle at your expense when the Indians sew up the ALCS. Lose the drama and save your venom for somebody else.
I gave you a plus there TD... And, I REALLY HATE grouping you in with Stopper... But, this right here is exactly how I felt when the group of you were bitching abotu which TD Hue Jackson went for 2. In the scheme of the game it meant absolutely nothing... Even your argument that there was still time when they didn't convert...so what, the game ended 90 seconds earlier with the same result, a loss... Really this isn't any different, other than the fact what Tito did effected a series, the 2 point conversion choice of when to do it, effected nothing. Either way the offense needed to convert the 2... Now the series needs to extend to another game... Now, as far as Tito is concerned, I agree 100% with you! That decision to pitch Kluber was in no way the reason they lost this game. Saving the bullpen for the next game or three was a great decision on his part and will ultimately help the Tribe get to the World Series, imho... In no way shape or form, do I believe for a minute the Blue Jays will take 4 games in a row from the Tribe, this team is too good...just as the Blue Jays were too good to give up 4 in a row.
I gave ya a plus right back Irish, but I'd really like to drop the "two point" thing. It's over. I'm never going to see that your way Irish...It absolutely effected the game, and that is why Hue Jackson was getting blasted nationwide for it..It wasn't just me and stopper that questioned his call....Nobody is blasting Francona other than our resident negativity dweller....Kluber wasn't bad. He performed well, and he should be available for game 7 if needed. It absolutely was the right decision considering the state of our starting pitching staff..... Roll Tribe!!! Maybe the young kid pitching this afternoon will surprise us and get this series wrapped up this evening....The one time I saw Merritt pitch this season, he was very good....
