Mayb Im watching a different game but Kessler is not NFL ready....can u call him check down Cody....its really sad watching him throw the deep ball and it ends up 5 yds out of bounds....longest pass play was 14 yds...cant win in the NFL nowadays w that offense..btw Barnidge is a pass protector now and leaks out after 2-3 secs...is that serious Hue
I think they are just used to hearing it super negative as you really get on the pessimistic side a lot of the time.
Well what the author said hasn't been refuted so I guess it's correct...btw when Lym or Blues say something that people may not like it's all good...whatever the case the Browns need a lot of help and I don't see it changing anytime soon...3-5 yrs at best until they win 6-7 games in a season
Not quite. Just simply ignored or not worth replying to after previous doom and gloom comments ad infinitum. Silence does not amount to acceptance.
That would be because they offer some discussion as to the solution and simply don't berate the Browns and "rubber stamp" them as losers with every comment.
Evidently you didn't read all the crap slung my way the last couple years over Manziel . I still cant stand the little weasel . This year isn't about wins . we knew that before the season started . they play with to much heart not to get a couple before this year is up . Watching these baby Browns has been fun and at the same time excruciating with some of the mistakes . its what you get with A young football team .
I hope the Browns treat this week like it's their Super Bowl. We need that kind of focus. I've heard the talk about how "Tom Brady will destroy us in week 5", for months now. People are giving Cleveland no chance....All I know is, crazy things happen in this league. Don't forget, the Browns hammered New England the last time they were in town, back in 2010... Nobody thought we could win then either, and I know this because I bought tickets on the 40 yard line (front row upper deck) for about $30.00 a piece. Best seats I ever had. lol! It was great. Perfect weather and Colt McCoy and Peyton Hillis ripping the Patriots all afternoon. Final score, Browns 34, Pats 14.....New England only lost two games that season.... So it CAN happen...not saying it will, but like Bluez just mentioned, these Browns play with a lot of heart....They could easily be 3-1, but they are young and they haven't learned how to finish yet...At least that's what we are supposed to say. Personally, I think the refs screwed us in the Baltimore AND Washington games, and it couldn't have been more obvious, but I won't get started......If we can just learn to play all sixty minutes, AND more importantly, manage to get a competent officiating crew calling our game, I think things could be looking up.
Having a healthy Coleman back soon (fingers crossed) may do wonders for Kessler as well and spread the opposing defense a tad bit more. Not to mention the injuries to the Browns' DEF, as porous as it has been.
Sounds like there is a good chance that Carl Nassib will return this week. With him coming back, it could give the Browns a nice rotation with Stephen Paea stepping in and contributing already. Campbell may also be coming back this week..
Hadn't seen that news yet, Irish, about Nassib. That would be a big help. I'm thinking they'll have to keep the pressure up against Brady if they're going to have a chance.
BEREA, Ohio ? Bill Belichick was glad to the see the Browns finally honor Hall of Famer Jim Brown with a statue at FirstEnergy Stadium. "Definitely long overdue,'' he said Wednesday on a conference call with Cleveland media. "In my opinion, no greater player in professional football than Jim Brown. But on top of that, Jim's a very special person. He's a great friend and he's a great leader. I respect and have great admiration for the things that Jim has accomplished throughout his life, his career on the football field, lacrosse field, but more importantly off the field. "The Amer-I-Can program that he's developed, I've had the opportunity to witness that, be a part of it first hand and be involved with Jim on some of the things that he was doing with that, with his organization there. I wish that statue had been there when I was there. It certainly would have been deserving then, however long ago that was, 25 years ago or whatever it was. Great man, great football player, great person. Nobody I have higher respect for than Jim Brown." Belichick, who's 3-1 Patriots will play the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday, became close to Brown when Belichick was head coach of the Browns from 1991-1995. He supported Brown's Ameri-I-Can program and consulted with him on a regular basis. The two have grown closer over the years, and Brown had always been a huge supporter of Belichick.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Connor Hamlett was the early star of Browns training camp this year. Now he's made his way onto the team's active roster. The Browns elevated the tight end from their practice squad to the 53-man roster today and waived defensive back and special teamer Don Jones. Hamlett signed with Jacksonville in 2015 as an undrafted free agent. He spent time on the practice squads of Philadelphia, New Orleans and Cleveland. He is officially in his first season. Hamlett impressed early in training camp with his size and ability to catch the football. He tailed off during the preseason and was originally cut by the Browns when they signed punter Britton Colquitt on September 2. He was later added to the practice squad.
I wonder if Nassib is gonna play with a big ol' club on his hand? that could be fun... We know Brady is playing, but we don't know the health status of Rob Gronkowski , and knowing Belichick, we won't, until he's in the game. The Pats have used Gronk as nothing more than a decoy the last two games, but he's obviously a difference maker if healthy. One we must account for.... Fun facts: This will be the 24th meeting between the two teams... Browns lead the all time series 13 to 10, including the one post season match-up when the Belichick-led Browns beat the Patriots in a Wild Card game 20-13, on New Years Day, 1995....Patriots are 4-8 all time at Cleveland and 2-2 at First Energy Stadium. Not so fun facts: The Pats are an NFL best 49-17 in October since 2000.....Since 2003, the Patriots are 40-6 following a regular season loss....Bill Belichick is 5-2 vs Cle in his career...
The Browns probably had a better shot if NE won last week...now coming off a shutout and Brady's 1st game back those DBs better b ready cause he's gonna b flinging it
agreed...I guarantee Belichick is not over-looking the Browns. Especially after the way New England played last Sunday....They will be focused and ready.
In following through with a promise he made during the summer, Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell donated his first paycheck of the season to the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation. The sum of cash equates to just over $35,000 and is Crowell?s latest attempt to make it right after the Cleveland Browns? running back posted an image on social media of a police officer being killed (more on that here). Crowell, who also attended a funeral for one of the officers killed in July?s tragic shooting in Dallas, didn?t really want this to become public. His main thing was to follow through on a promise he made. ?I said I was going to do it and I wanted to follow through,? Crowell said, via Cleveland.com. In issuing his apology for July?s insensitive post, Crowell had indicated he would donate his first paycheck. At that point,?Sergeant Demetrick Pennie, President of Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation, didn?t want the money. Instead, he simply urged Crowell to understand better the situation itself. Now, nearly three months later, Pennie received the rather large check. Rather than tearing it up or sending it back to Crowell, he accepted it on the foundation?s behalf. However disturbing the image Crowell posted might have been, we have to give him credit for learning from this mistake and working with local Dallas authorities.
