No I wouldn't trade McCown at all . great mentor and a true leader . he played his heart out last year .I hope when he hangs his cleats up they find a spot for him on the coaching staff if he wants it . my kind of guy . a class act on and off the field .
So, maybe they are looking at Ogbah and Nassib at DE....Schobert is a true 3/4 OLB at Wisconsin, may compete right away if they decide to move on from any of the players currently on the roster...
Can't say as I'm surprised. Though I still would have preferred they had gotten a future 4th instead. I like the Schobert pick, I think that Horton will slot him in a WIL role. So what is it that we missed that everyone passing on Billings? *SCRATCH*
So we currently stand at 14 picks in the 2016 NFL draft...time to just pick...and then invite them in and let them compete. If nothing else, this roster is going to be hungry. I think the environment is going to be TOTALLY different in 2016 compared to 2015. I don't know if any of you remember, but I reported back in 2014 and 2015 from training camp, how I felt it was more like a walk through practice than actual training camp..Had me worried then and that staff is now in another city... Bring on the professional coaching staff we all have hoped for since 1999!
I agree Crex a future 4th would have been preferred to a current 5th, which brings our 5th round to 5 picks now. Maybe they end up trading one or two of those 5th rounders for future 4ths. Schobert can drop into coverage, so that might be an idea also Crex.... As for Billings, there are reports this morning that he is a run specialist and brings nothing for passing downs...with today's NFL, that isn't viewed highly. I don't know, the kid has a motor and last I checked this team still needs to figure out how to stop the run...I would still love to have him at this point!
That or they may use them on 2-3 WR/TE and see who sticks. That would be a plus having an LB that can cover. My thoughts exactly Irish we need big men plugging up the middle and stuffing the Run.
Well, we are up next and Billings and all those RBs I was talking about this morning are still on the board...
I was just getting around to that Irish... I like the idea of taking WR here but what is it and these Harvard boys and WR with questionable hands? SMH
he has size & speed but has from what I read has terrible hands and had a sixth round grade at best on him ???
I agree on the hands, but bluez, I saw a 4th/5th round grade on the kid...Questionable pick imho though. Looking for play makers, the RB would have been the place to find one with that pick.
Incredible pro day puts German Moritz Boehringer on NFL radar I would love to see them pick this guy . the Indiana RB Howard reminds me of Kevin Mack . I watched a few Hoosier games last fall and he stood out with his power .
