    Crazy Crex?s Draft Musings:

While many of us have varying opinions regarding Coleman vs the ?other? top WR in this draft. I really like the fact that and they parleyed the #2 pick into a skill position playmaker and an additional pick in the first three rounds next year, and a second in 2018.

Given how things shaped up last night there is a plethora of defensive talent available early in the second round. I can?t argue with the thought of drafting another offensive playmaker. I?d like to see them snag a player like Robinson, Dodd, Ogbah, or Spence.

My guess is that they pool one of the 4th round picks and a one of the 3rd round picks to move back up into the 2nd round.

I beg to differ Irish...John Gruden said Coleman knows the entire route tree. So it HAS to be true...lol!

of course, he also referred to Tyrann Mathieu last night as more than just a great football player, but also a great human being... *DONT_KNOW* *HIGH*

I want to thank you TD...reading your post made me re-read mine so I could see my math failure....those four routes make up 88.8%, not 98.8%

And really NONE of that matters in the least...He is now a pro and has great coaches that will most certainly teach him the routes he doesn't know already. I am not that worried about that aspect of his game. The things that struck me the most about the kid were game film when he wasn't involved in a hot route...he took 2 steps off the line and just watched the play from afar, never getting involved and the Baylor Bears also NEVER ran to his side, he didn't block at all on run plays....

Then the whole skipping his bowl game for a surgery that has a 4-6 week recovery and blaming it on wanting to get ready for the draft process...bailing on your teammates simply doesn't sit well with me and I really feel like he bailed.

Hopefully it was an isolated occurrence and we will see a professional that will help this offense excel..

I could see where packaging picks to move up would make sense, but on the Really Big Show this morning they were discussing a conversation with Sashi Brown last night before they went home and he told them, they hope to be able to accumulate another 4-5 picks before the draft is over. They are truly pick drunk and simply want to up their chances of gathering talent by drafting the most players possible.

I really hope that isn't the case at this point. Having a roster full of fifth and sixth rounders is not going to improve the talent level of the Browns roster let alone put them in a position to be competitive.

IMHO They are in a good position to take 3-4 more really solid players in the next two rounds. At this point they need to stop going downward in the draft and start taking the BPA that fits one of their many needs, or use some of that extra ammo to move up and go get their guy.

  6. Enough is enough...how bout start drafting top talent and letting other teams get better...I can see if they wanted Goff and when the Rams made the trade they had little choice but 2 move down, but stop w the 3rd and 4th round guys and take the top guy at #32 and live w it

Well, maybe they figure they can't be fired for making bad picks if they aren't picking anybody at all.

    *CRAZY*

There's a rumor floating around that Dallas wants to trade up to #32 and draft Cook.

    EDIT:
Scratch that, it's already been revised that they are looking for a pass rusher, not a quarterback.

I love this 3 day stretch.

    lol, I might have to.

Also heard this morning that the Browns were one of a handful of teams that tried to trade up with both the Cardinals and the Panthers but neither wanted to move down and lose out on the player they selected.

  11. Mayb that's why those teams contend...they take top talent

The Cowchips are now loaded at RB after they picked Zeke .

why not offer a 4th round pick for McFadden ? he is only 28 has a cheap cap # at 1.2 mill .

he has his best season under Hue . is still young enough .

    Thoughts ?

Given his injury history I'd pass. Especially for a 4th round pick.

He has stayed healthy the last two years and averaged 4.2 per carry . he wouldn't have to carry the load just contribute . Duke is not a every down back . the Crow regressed last year and we don't know what we have in Watson who Hue brought with him from Cinnci .

lol! Yeah, I'd certainly think that's attainable....by now for many it's just a reflex. " Hey, here comes stopper with his negative take on everything Browns"......cha-ching -1

Where there is smoke there is fire...I imagine Cleveland trades down with Dallas, and given the talent that will still be there, I gotta think that's a good move....It's all about percentages in Brownstown. Obviously Cleveland feels the odds get better with the more picks they take...I think many of us expected Cleveland to move around a lot, so not too surprising really...Depodesta is dealin.

How many guys are absolute locks to make the roster? I counted 15. The team has no depth. Drafting 12-13 guys wouldn't be a bad thing at all.
