  2. I never considered either QB franchise worthy...if they opted 2 choose one Goff was the desired pick....I get all the wait and see approach, but I'm not a believer in these guys evaluating talent so now the chance of missing w #1 pick increases

I actually agree with you, by the way. Any time you trade down, you get more ammunition, but it's more important to hit your targets.

That said, I actually think these guys are in a better position to pick their players because I'm a huge believer in analytics and I think they more often than not give you a better read than a "seasoned GM" making the calls.

Sitting at #8 overall, they get to choose from the top six non-QB prospects. Depending on how your board looks, you can still get a blue chip player. Heck, a guy like Myles Jack just became a lot more realistic because with his knee concerns, he's probably not a Top 5 lock anymore, but he's easily still a Top 10 talent.

If they miss out on one of their top six guys, they'll probably trade down again (assuming the market is there).

  4. I really don't wanna see them go with Myles Jack... Take a more "Sure Fire" playmaker, I hate the "He's got an upside, if only..." kinda guys, they NEVER work out in Cleveland... for ONCE, I'd just like to see the Brown make the obvious pick instead of trying to out smart everyone!

I'm still hoping for one of two things...Stay at #8 and either Buckner or Ramsey are there, or trade down and get one of the top WRs...If Laremy Tunsil is available, then I would think there might be a trade partner available...

Titans: #15 and #45 would be a nice trade partner, imho...Browns would have to give up either a 5th, or maybe a 4th to make it happen, but I would like to have a second 2nd round pick.

And...as soon as Jack has a knee injury, stopper will be on here calling them idiots for drafting him knowing his knee is ready to blow...even if that perception isn't true at all.

  7. I like the getting a top WR scenario.... But I don't hate the idea of getting the top rated RT to replace Schwartz... Stanley maybe? I really liked watching him at ND.. and #2, if I'm taking a chance on ANY LB with knee questions, it Jaylon Smith! If he can bounce back... WATCH OUT! That kid is a baller!

OK this is awesome. If we stay at 8 i want Zeke cause Jack will be gone and to soon for Treadwell. If we trade down i hope we can still get Tread.

Zeke is an animal and i don't care if u think its to high to take an RB. He will make everyone on Offense better and team team will grow together. Im sick of hearing everyone say RBs are a dime a dozen. Bullchit we've been putting dimes back there every year and Dimes suck.
Its time to draft Studs not Duds. I can't handle another BUST on some Fat Lazy Lineman

  9. I wuldnt touch Jack in the 2nd round so there u go...put it in the archives if u want

You keep talking about who you wouldn't draft...how about putting your expertise to work and tell us who you would back as a plausible draftee? We need 6 players to get to #8...

  11. I don't like the 8th spot...not gonna get Tunsil or Ramsey and 2 high 4 a WR...I told u a couple weeks ago I wuld have traded Thomas and taken Tunsil at #2...now he will probably fall 2 Balt and protect their franchise QB 4 many yrs

    :-*

you know he's not going to stick his neck out Irish....What if he's right? Then he'll be forced to admit that he liked SOMETHING that this franchise ever did...

SS doesn't like the 8 spot...lol! I think that's funny, especially since Sashi went out of his way in today's presser to mention that the 8th selection in the draft was a "key" reason as to why Cleveland made the move..

I have to agree with Sashi....Looks like a GREAT spot for Cleveland to be IMO...

    stopper gripes just to gripe....

  13. Oh boy Sashi said it....I guess it's gold now...also u said yesterday I doubt their done trading down so now u "agree" w him bout 8th spot lol

  14. TopDawg Legend

You realize, there's a good chance that Sashi is trying to build up the value of that pick in an effort to potentially move again right?

  15. No I dont recall a team ever claiming I want the #8 pick...whats Sashi gonna say well theres only 7 good players in the draft but SF didnt want 2 trade....it will all depend who is on the board

  16. TopDawg Legend

lmao! Well we've seen two teams trade for it just in the last few months....

I don't know what more I need to say.....

  17. We have who?

  18. TopDawg Legend

It was Miami's pick to begin with...Philly traded for it....Then Cleveland traded for it....

C'mon stopper....You know #8 is a valuable pick...I'm excited about who might be there, but gotta stay guarded, because I know we could move again...

  19. TopDawg Legend

If #8 really is where the Browns want to be, I suspect the target is Buckner...

I'm going to treat it as gold, until someone inspects it and tells me it's pyrite. It's been 17 years of diluted talent, on the field and in the front office..We have started over and I for one am excited about this coaching staff. I for one am excited that the Browns are doing things on the cutting edge in the front office. Will it work? Who the hell knows, but it sure is exciting.

There are players I can hope for...most likely won't get him, but if they make the choice that Hue Jackson has a great opportunity to coach, then they should move in the right direction. Can we really ask for anything more than that year one?

At 8, I am really hoping DeForest Buckner is looking us squarely in the eye...doesn't even mean that is who they will pick...but that is my hope and if they do draft him, I will be even more excited than I am right now.

Believe me, I've had dark days in my life...being excited is SO MUCH more fun than being negative constantly.
