Yeah well I could be wrong but I don't know why anyone would want to trade with them. Draft Bosa and be done with it.
Werner had comparable stats coming out of college and better combine #s Werner-4.81(40), 1.67 10 yd split, 7.30 3 cone drill and 25 reps..college career 23.5 sacks Bosa-4.86(40), 1.69 10 yd split, 6.89 3 cone drill and 24 reps...college career 26 sacks Could b the same player if hes wasted in a 3-4 scheme
Little weasel .I threw up on draft day and nothing has changed since . what a POS . Affluenza . will be glad when I don't have to read the news about the talentless little scumbag . and Gordon was with him .
Crazy how much love Goff is getting now from the same analysts that were knocking him earlier. We can't trade down, but drafting Wentz sets us back another 3-4 years. Get Ramsey or Buckber and be done with it. Still have love for Jack, but very mixed opinions on his knee... that gives me pause.
Werner-4.81(40) HH, 1.67 HH 10 yd split, 7.30 3 cone drill and 25 reps..college career 23.5 sacks Bosa-4.86(40) ET, 1.69 ET (actually 1.68) 10 yd split, 6.89 3 cone drill and 24 reps...college career 26 sacks ^^^ That's your comparison and I noted which is a handheld time and which is an electronic time. Below is the same comparison with Bosa's HH time and Werner's ET time. Looks a lot different if you play your game: Werner-4.83(40), 1.69 10 yd split, 7.30 3 cone drill and 25 reps..college career 23.5 sacks Bosa-4.84(40), 1.65 10 yd split, 6.89 3 cone drill and 24 reps...college career 26 sacks
Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam has asked an Alabama judge to reconsider, amend or vacate a deposition order that could force him to testify in court for the first time regarding the rebate scheme plaguing the $31 billion family truck stop chain. Attorney Joseph McCorkle Jr., representing Haslam, filed the motion to reconsider late Friday in the civil case of Wright Transportation v. Pilot Flying J after the judge?s order came earlier in the day. Among several claims, the defendant?s motion argues that Circuit Court Judge Sarah Hicks Stewart granted the petition to depose Haslam less than 42 hours after it was filed without scheduling a hearing or allowing Haslam a reasonable opportunity to respond. THE TENNESSEAN Judge orders Jimmy Haslam deposed in Pilot civil suit The brief says Haslam?s legal counsel is ?puzzled? by the decision and that the plaintiff?s petition is ?riddled with factual and procedural errors.? The defense also contends the proposed deposition of Haslam is a ?thinly-disguised effort to obtain discovery from him to be used in the litigation against him, wherever it ends up.? Alabama-based Wright Transportation is one of several companies suing Pilot in connection with a scheme where top-ranking Pilot officials orchestrated fake rebates for customers. Haslam, brother of Gov. Bill Haslam and owner of the NFL?s Cleveland Browns, has denied knowing anything about the scheme. "Of hundreds of cases resolved, this is one of only several unresolved," said a spokesman for Pilot Flying J. "There is nothing Mr. (Jimmy) Haslam can add to what has become a prolonged litigation by this company." A federal investigation into the problem has already led to 10 guilty pleas to federal crimes and another eight federal indictments of former leading executives at the company. Jimmy Haslam is not among them. The judge?s order Friday and response from Jimmy Haslam came on the three-year anniversary of the FBI raiding the company's Knoxville headquarters. In other cases, Jimmy Haslam has fought efforts by attorneys to have him testify in civil suits. Although the deposition is connected to a civil case, it is possible federal investigators could use his testimony if they choose. Under the judge?s order, Jimmy Haslam is expected to be subpoenaed to appear at a May 11 deposition in Knoxville. The order requests the Knox County clerk issue a deposition subpoena or some similar order because "it appears to this court that the just determination of the issues (in the Alabama case) requires that the deposition testimony of James A. Haslam III be taken."
I went 2 NFL combine and those were the #s I read...not sure if they were hand held or electronic...whatever u want 2 use their both really close in comparison and I see the same kind of disappointment in a 3-4 scheme...if they stay at #2 I believe the pick is Tunsil or Ramsey and not Bosa
After the Rams moved up, I got this unsettled feeling that our FO failed again. gotta assume they were at least approached by the Rams, but (in my mind) pulled a Schwartz, take it or leave it negotiating stance, and the Rams said "see ya". Completely a fabrication in my mind. I hope. Now they have the #2 pick and no one who has any interest in offering them anything to get there. Someone previously pointed out that if you want a QB and Cleveland is looking to dance, then clearly you don't have to worry that Cleveland is taking a QB, so shop elsewhere. Nice positioning boys.
Gotta agree, kendawg. Two weeks ago we were "in the drivers seat" and had our first shot at the best QB in the class since 1999. I said then that someone would trade up for Goff. Now we're on the outside watching another team take the best QB so we either: A) take the second-best one (a pretty big gap, honestly) or B) pick up a premier defensive player, but we still lack that franchise guy. Kinda bummed to see the F/O get out-foxed this earlier before the draft.
As much as SAS agrees...I must disagree Ken... The Browns now hold all the cards for the one left... As much as SAS thinks "losing" Goff is a detriment to this team...IF the Rams take him, it is because of his California roots. If they REALLY see these two as close as they say they do, then the millions they can make off of Goff is a deal breaker for the franchise. That is the only way they take Goff over Wentz. Then, IF that happens, the Browns have two choices.. 1) Take the best QB in this draft, despite the fact there are better players available 2) Take the bounty that is offered by the ones left over vying for the best QB in this draft. The Rams did the Browns a favor...If they had waited until draft day, the mechanisms may not have been in place to get absolute value for the #2 pick. They would have been vying for 2 QBs, so it could easily be a lower value if both were available and the Browns may have been stuck between taking their top choice of two QBs that aren't as good as a few other players, or taking a chance by passing on both for a lower offer from less teams bidding against each other. The Rams eliminate one, so now all teams looking for the QB, must pay their highest price if they want the one left. RGIII, whether he is the future or not, analytically speaking, gives the Browns an out for 2016 to accept a windfall trade. Now, if that trade never materializes, they will have to choose between analytics and taking the best QB available to address the most important position in the NFL. But the Rams, made it more valuable..so don't feel too sorry for the Browns front office right about now..
ESPN's Adam Schefter stated on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast that he believes the Browns were never going to take a quarterback near the top of the first round, even before the Rams-Titans trade. The Browns are known to prefer Jared Goff over Carson Wentz, but that doesn't mean they would take Goff at No. 2 even were he available. Schefter suggested that Cleveland benefited from the Tennessee-Los Angeles trade, and is now open for business at the No. 2 pick. Schefter also explained what he believes to be the Browns' plan, "building up" supporting-cast pieces before investing in a potential franchise quarterback. Schefter named the Eagles, 49ers, and Jets as three teams that might be potential trade partners with Cleveland at No. 2.
MMQB's Peter King believes the Browns "have thought seriously" about "bypassing a quarterback" with the No. 2 overall pick. The Browns are reportedly "high" on Robert Griffin III, and their college quarterback of choice, Cal's Jared Goff, is likely to be taken by the Rams at No. 1. If that situation unfolds, the Browns could decide to wait until Day 2 to make a move at quarterback, but selecting a position player with the second-overall pick does not make much sense. If North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz does slip to No. 2, there will be plenty of teams interested in trading up. It would be surprising if the Browns did not either take a quarterback or trade down.
