Let me hear some defenses of this P.O.S FRANCHISE! this franchise is EMBARRASSING TO THE CITY! EVERY F#$%$#@ week it's something about this joke of a franchise! MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN!
Oh don't forget that Haslam is raising ticket sales so people can watch this mockery and train wreck up close! They are a complete and utter mess! DYSFUNCTIONAL!
The only thing I read when I see a green helmet is the name to make sure it is kendawg writing the post...Otherwise, I move on..
Thanks, I think. Can't figure out how to create an avatar, so there you go. Chicken Little gets old. Not that he doesn't have a point, but sheesh, take a breath. Still, we can only be categorized as a mess right now, with 1st rounders in rehab, or should be, an owner and GM under investigation, and no QB. Other than that we're not bad. Sigh
I have learned, as many of us can attest to, you can't build a franchise by removing it's foundation annually, so with that said, I do indeed want our mgt team back. I am not arguing that any of them are leaders among their peers, just that, like any rookie, they need to be allowed to make mistakes, and grow up in the job. It is truly worriesome that we have an owner and a GM who can't seem to do their jobs, but have no problem trying to do someone else's. Which of you geniuses can claim to not have made mistakes this year? Check your ego's and make the kind of changes that matter, the ones within yourselves, define responsibilites and let the guys you chose do their jobs. They will make mistakes. Count on it, but before you question their decisions, ask yourself "what might I have done to help", not what would I do "if I was in their job". Your team melted down this year. Why? Be honest. Did you support each other 100%. Did you allow those you entrusted with managing the team, do it the way "they" saw fit? When you ask players to take their responsibility seriously, do you do the same? Do you trust the guy next to you to do his job, and if you don't, is the problem him or is your lack of trust the bigger issue. Consistency can only come with trust. Communicate, argue, compromise, fight, call each other names, but when you come out the door, be together 100%, or leave. That is management's responsibility: set the tone for how you expect things to be done. Be a team at the top and good things will happen. The glass half full? Could be if Slam & Co. will become a team first. You guys all screwed up last year in one way or another, but it doesn't mean the foundation is crumbling if you choose to work as a team, fully committed to each other. It will not happen in the locker room, if it doesn't happen in the boardroom first. Clearly it did not happen this year. Will you make it happen this year?
But in all seriousness who in their right minds would want to come here? Free agents will get paid either by the Browns or someone else. Last year we had to over pay for free agents but with all these reports coming out about coaches wanting out, players wanting out and all the trouble the owner and Farmer are in, it doesn't look good free agent wise for the Browns. I'm not trying to piss people off but with this terrible off season we have had and the direction this team is heading since the return maybe changing the uniforms would help change the culture. I like the Brown & Orange but maybe they could spruce it up a little. I don't want an emblem but make it more modern. Bull from the Fox & Bull show was right today when he said the fans don't deserve this treachery. That's where I heard that Haslam might blow this thing up again if we don't win next year. Cleveland is booming, Cavs are rolling, Tribe is winning and OSU is winning NC. There is a Central Park type thing coming downtown, boardwalks and casinos coming in. The only black eye we get is from this football team. I agree with some of the national media. If Haslam can't get control of this thing then he needs to sell the team and let someone who can. His ownership has been gawd aweful. He has been the worse of 3 owners we have had. Well next up is free agency. With all the money the Browns have they should be able to sign some FA. Plus the players union will make guy's take the most money from a team. We will see!
all u need is a pic that's relatively square, and there's nothing more u need to do. the forum itself will automatically resize if for u.
ps: if u need anything fancier, i can add text to a pic - that's the limit of my madd photoshopping skillz.
Yeah the Browns are a dead horse! I never picked on weaker opponents! No money in it! Definitely with the Browns!
Steelers and Browns final standings... This was when the Browns were in first place for 3 days... And, I haven't forgotten our bet either...I just need to find time to take a drive to Huron!
Browns GM could be in hot water for texting coaches on game day The week just keeps getting worse for the Browns and their fans. On Sunday, former Browns coach Bill Belichick hoisted the Super Bowl trophy once again as the Patriots defeated the Seahawks. On Monday, news broke that Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel had entered a treatment facility for rehab. On Tuesday, the NFL officially handed down an indefinite suspension of Pro Bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon. On Wednesday, the Northeast Ohio Media Group reported that the NFL?s investigation into team executives sending texts to coaches during games could involve a loss of a draft pick, a fine and possibly a suspension of GM Ray Farmer. The investigation could be completed by the Scouting Combine, which begins on Feb. 18 in Indianapolis. "I know we?ve cooperated fully with the NFL and if we did anything wrong I?m sure we?ll correct it and make whatever amends,?? owner Jimmy Haslam said during last month?s Greater Cleveland Sports Awards. CBS Sports? Jason La Canfora on Tuesday said that according to multiple league sources, Famer called or texted quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains in the coaching box during games, which would be in violation of NFL rules. Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan used the texts as one of the reasons to be released from his contract before he was hired to the same position with the Falcons. Loggains was fired the same day the Shanahan resignation was announced.
