Joker Phillips from the University of Kentucky and Florida has been named WR coach for the Browns. I'm not sure but didn't Randell Cobb come from Kentucky and was Phillips there when Cobb was? That could be a connection if he was and we do need some WR's and a true veteran #1 at that.
I have to see if there is a Cavs thread on here. It's time to head in a winning direction! When I look at the Browns are the weakest link in Ohio! Buckeyes-NC, Indians winning record, Bengals-winning record, Cavs - winning record, Reds - winning record and then bringing up the dead last rear- Cleveland Browns! They are not only embarrassing us in the NFL but nationally! Who would of thought that the Browns would be the weakest link? National Laughing Stocks! I still don't understand why fans don't go to Indians games but support the garbage that the Browns produce. I think I was right when I said the NFL is playing all us like Manziel played Haslam! it's about money, not winning. Why win when the fans will support your team anyway. I know some of you faithful won't like this but this team F$%$#$% up all the time and never getting it right is getting old. With the Buckeyes winning championships and the Cavs with the best player on the planet and heading to the championships the browns are in trouble. They may lose the title Browns Town. It's time to produce. They have the picks and the money this year. If they don't improve this roster then please move this team to L.A. and take Drunk Johnny and Jim Bob with you! Stop your bandwagoning and go find a Cavs thread to haunt...then you can bash them when Lebron leaves again...then you can bash the city that you claim you love some more... We are all frustrated, but doing the work of others by bashing them every single day is getting old. We KNOW what they were, I want to talk about what they need to do...then you can complain when/if they don't do something to improve it.. Now back to business... Rubin got paid for being a productive 4-3 DT... A) Phil Taylor has never produced like Rubin once did B) Taylor has gotten hurt two out of the last 3 seasons C) He would have to have an EPIC season to even see a moderate payday Moderate being the key word here, IF he lasts 16 games and produces at the best level he has since he signs, he would be looking at an average payday of around $5M as a 3-4 DE...There are a few being paid over $10M, then a nose dive..The 6-10 ranked 3-4 DE are making $6.875, 6.8(Desmond Bryant), 5.5, 5 and 4.55 respectively. Phil Taylor is no where near the top ten in his career, he hasn't even had a top ten season out of four... I like Big Phil when healthy. I think he can set up the defense well, but he is not a difference maker. They are few and far between at his position. Big men like that have a short shelf life. I would keep him around at a modest salary, he would be great for young replacements coming in...but his big payday was his rookie contract which was before the rookie scale was in place. (edit) Oh yeah, even if the Cavs win a championship...this will ALWAYS be Browns Town...

I won those tickets at my union meeting, dude. We get perks Irish. We are the biggest trade union in OHIO, the 3rd/4th biggest Laborers Union in America. Us and Local 860 ( Roads and Highways) across the street from us on Prospect go back and forth with 3 and 4. We have 3800 members. NY and Chicago are bigger than us 2. These owners have close relationships with our B A's. they spend their money on our hall. Irish I can tell you from what I've heard that Haslam is 1 hell of a salesman! He is an ego maniac! He actually wanted to compensate Tribe tickets for work and get a discount on our services and other trades like concrete finishers and carpenters for metal stud work to build those new concession stands. But Gilbert is for real a stand up guy. That he is actually a stand up guy and actually wants to rebuild the city of Cleveland. 2 years ago I won Cavs tickets and my wife, daughters and nieces went. Gilbert is the real deal, man. He told us Lerner knew that union workers were important here in Cleveland if he wanted work done so he used us. He didn't want the bad publicity of unions picketing Browns stadium. Same with Dolan. Gilbert actually came to our hall personally and asked what he had to do and what needed done.
