best stop of the day was made by our fans in the pound ..that loud mouthed piece of scumbag RB from the Bungles Hill tried to jump in the pound after scoring ..they should have jammed something in his eyeball ..like a very large knife *WASSUP*
also should have smacked the bungle fan in the mouth at the same time ..what the hell ?? there was atime teams wouldn't even think about getting anywhere near the pound ? disgusting :! embarrassing to this old dawg
this will humble Manziel ..one would think . how will he respond ? will he work hard or go out and party ?
we are going to get shutout at home ?????????????? no excuse for that .I don't care that's embarrassing and disgusting he put a bullseye on his back with his actions .. STFU with your money sign flashing .
107 yards total offense. Absolutely putrid. It wasn't Manziel's fault alone. That was a team earned beat down.
Well, Manziel looked rather Hoyer-esque today. Quite disappointed he couldn't spark this team although he did have a good run or two. Not looking very well in the passing game though and a couple of dropped passes hurt. Again, not his fault alone. I'm pretty sure if he had been flawless today, they still would have got crushed. I'm thinking maybe it was a bit of a rhythm and timing thing with a new QB at the helm, but I guess we'll all see it differently. Two more games to go, Manziel. Please hurry it up and show us what ya got!!!
I hope it's good, whatever it is. With Hoyer's benching, our chances of even bringing him back as a backup are slimmer. We are all in on Johnny now.
it wasn't all Manziels fault . the whole team sucked from the coaching staff all the way down to the dood who cleans the crapper :! ..he really earned his $$$$ today . they need to toss film of this one in the crapper . Skrine played well ..again ..keep him at all costs .if he wants to stay . he has really improved . you cant coach 4.2 speed .
The Browns didn?t get the offensive jolt they were looking for from Johnny Manziel, but they won?t be pulling the plug on the rookie after one start. Coach Mike Pettine called his team?s performance ?shocking? after they were slaughtered by the Bengals on Sunday afternoon and said that the problems went beyond Manziel, who he said would start again next week. Manziel was 10-of-18 for 80 yards and two interceptions during the game, a performance that didn?t leave Pettine with much need to look at the film before making an assessment of how Manziel fared in his first NFL start. ?He didn?t play well. He looked like a rookie, played like a rookie. I know a lot of it was we didn?t play well around him, but he made some obvious mistakes that typically a veteran quarterback won?t make,? Pettine said, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Pettine added that the result was bad, but that things would be much worse if Manziel and the Browns didn?t learn from it and do better their next time out. That explains why the team will stick with Manziel and why Pettine avoided requests to speculate on what the outing meant for Manziel?s future as an NFL player. The next two games will provide a bit more of an idea, but you?d imagine the Browns will give their first-round pick more than three games at the end of his rookie season before drawing any sweeping conclusions about his future chances of success.
Well I guess I'll hold off on getting that Manzeil jersey for a bit. He looked like any rookie. Didn't have any rythym, none of that 3 step drop and fire, seemed to want to see guys open and then throw (doesn't work in the NFL most of the time. anticipation). It's going to be a learning curve, but I think he answered "why he wasn't starting earlier". Hoyer simply disintefrated to the point there wasn't enough difference to keep him on the sidelines. Unfortunately we don't know if we have a QB for 2015, but it would be foolish to think we'd know that after one game anyway. I can't say I was surprised by his play, but I was surprised by the team's play. WOW I was expecting the D to turn this into a low scoring contest, where Johnny could make some mistakes and we would still be able to make enouhg plays to get the win. NOPE. Dissappointed with the day, not with the season or the team as a whole (other than today). We have a young team with a lot of talent who started from scratch with a new coach and all new systems, and somehow gave a season worth watching. I sincerely hope it wasn't all the product of a very weak schedule, and we in fact do have a strong basis upon which to build. Cellar dwellers again !!!!! I am so tired of that.
I'm still trying to figure out why they wasted a roster spot this week on a kicker. Any kicker. *SCRATCH* This was an entire team failure. We are now officially at the point where we can begin to discuss free agents (keep 'em or let 'em walk) and the 2015 draft. I know . . . we are still mathematically in the wild card hunt but Mother Terresa would have to stat turning tricks for us to make it. Its over.
Alright, I guess I will start with Johnny Football! Yes, he did look like a rookie out there today. He made some very bad throws, bad reads out there. All I could do was expect and hope for the best and I'm going to continue to do that being a Browns fan. I like Bluez hope he learns from this and works hard to improve! Now for the rest of the team out there today! The offensive line HAS TO GET BETTER! Freaking Schwartz needs CUT TODAY!!!!!!!!!! That man is not a RT or LT! He simply F@#$@#$ sucks! He should be ashamed to call himself a starting NFL player that gets a pay check every week! If that's the best this team can do then we are in trouble, like we are! I understand Mack is out. 1 F#$%@#$ player makes that much difference? Your LT and LG are pro-bowlers! That right side of line needs help in a major way! The wide receivers! What the F$#% is going on with their hands? Do they own a jugs machine? Yes some balls were badly thrown. But when an NFL caliber WR can touch the ball with 2 hands and NOT CATCH IT! They need cut! Or this team will be mediocre! The defensive line! Were they even in the building today? Hill ran ALL OVER US ALL DAY! The D-Line got blown the F$#@ up! Linebackers! Robertson is a restricted FA after this year. But that young man is playing his ARSE off. Dansby's age is catching up with him. This team needs a young, talented ARSE kicking ILB! That can help STOP THE F#@%^&% RUN!!!!!!! DB'S! Leonard needs to go! I watched him get ran ALL OVER! The playoffs are over for this team now. As I said before. If we end up 7-9 I'll be very happy and I am! But this team can't stop here right now! They have to continue to get better. So yes, in my mind it is time to talk draft. With the Bills looking like they might make the playoffs WITH WATKINS and Gilbert only plays every now and then and us needing another WR its looking like the Bills got one over on us! That Bills pick if they make the playoffs or come close might be in the 20's. That can't continue to happen. Those 1st 3 picks this year have to be STARTERS! HAVE TO BE! No excuses! So I'm going to start off by saying I WANT A RIGHT F$%#@#$ Tackle! I don't care if it's the 1st pick in the 1st rd. or the 2nd pick in the 1st rd. IN THAT 1st rd. I WANT A F%#@$%# RT! CASE CLOSED! NO MORE SCHWARTZ, I'M DONE WITH THAT SCRUB! Next I want a WR! Parker, White, Funchess I dont care. Someone who can catch the F$%#$%@ ball WITH HIS HANDS! I have a feeling that unless we over pay Gordon by a lot he is NOT going to resign with us. Why would he? Because we had to stand by him during his dope episode! Get real, fellas. This man is going to go after the money! He knows his NFL career could be real short now. So he is going to want to cash in with a huge signing bonus before that can happen. After that I want either an ILB or DE to stop the run! If you can't stop the run your screwed! That's what happened TODAY! Well it was a growing year for the Browns. I hope they beat the Panthers. I don't think they will beat the Ravens. So 8-8 and I'll be happy. As always wait till next year and GOOOO BROWNS!
Els, I feel ya. Agree with most of it, but I'm not sure Gordon is going to have all that many suitors. Also, I have to say he has looked unprepared and easily winded, since coming back. He does not look like the Pro Bowl, league leading reciever of 2013, to drug issue aside, and that's a leap of faith, he hasn't even flashed the form that made him #1 last year. I'm not sure he will want to come back to Cleveland, but I don't think he's going to hit the jackpot either. To me, we have a pretty talented team overall. The O line desperately needs a right side that at least compliments the talent the left side demonstrates, and sadly we still need to find a QB. He may be Manziel, but so far that is far from assured, and it is unlikely Hoyer will sign in Cleveland. The O looked more out of synch than ever today. I realize Manziel was bound to disrupt their timing somewhat, but ..... Really? Johnny had nearly no chance, and when he got protection, he wasn't in rythm with the recievers either . Not a formula for success, but to be positive, a necessary step the the Johnny development. Let's hope we see a team that looks like they met before the game next week.
Lym I'm way ahead of you my man! Here are some names, teams, ages and salaries. K 1. Matt Prater DET. 30 $820,00 2. Justin Tucker Balt. 25 $600,00 RT 1. Bryan Bulaga GB 25 $4 M 2. Jeremy Parnell DAL. 28 $1.8 3. Derek Newton Hou. 27 $1.5 RG 1. James Carpenter SEA. 25 $2.4 2. Joe Reitz IND 27 $1.4 3. Orlando Franklin DEN. 26 $1.3 I wrote these names because they play the positions in which I believe they need the most, young and play for winning teams. that will bring in winning attitudes.
well that sucked all day long....Can't see how things could have possibly went worse. Uhhhmm, glad to see the whole team play so well around the rookie QB making his first start.(sarcasm)....No excuses for Johnny's crappy play, but the surrounding cast sure didn't help him out. Who would have thought a month ago, when we hammered the Bengals in Cincy, that it would send both teams screaming in the opposite direction? What happened to this football team? Damn that was ugly....I guess the disappointment from letting a great effort last week end in an L was just too much for this young team to overcome....We all know they can play better than the pathetic effort we saw this afternoon, but it is a head scratcher. We thoroughly kicked their collective asses 5 weeks ago, and today was a complete reversal...smh. I know everything was awful today, but what the hell has happened to the Browns' kick return game??? It has stunk on ice all year and seems to be getting worse. We can't even get the ball to the twenty yard line, and ANY time we do there's sure to be a penalty insuring that we'll start the drive from inside our own 10! they were unwatchable today. Even the suckiest of Browns teams over the past two miserable decades had good kick return games..... Today the Browns played like they didn't care....It's unacceptable and embarrassing....
