I'm more of a FFB over FBB kinda guy, and wasn't sure I was gonna get into it... but I'm glad I did, it's a lot of fun... Thanks for the invite this year Bluez!!! Next two rounds on me... *DRINK* *DRINK*
Well after a 5 games losing streak, I need a win to get back into a plan. *SCRATCH* It is a long season, I need a run to get back into contention. I hated giving up Kemp but I had 7 OFs and I needed pitching bad. *HELP* As the weather heats up, I hope Bailey does as well. Having fun and win or lose, that is what it is about. Crumpled can is on the mantle, want to keep it. *YAHOO* Junkyard, Goat likes his skin *STOP*
The crumpled can is MINE!!! *YAHOO* .... it's the Waterlogged Baseball trophy that you currently have on your mantle!
i love football way more than baseball but when it comes to fantasy i like baseball more . longer season helps .if you have a bad stretch you can rebound . i won a league last year after setting last in my division at the All Star break . the team got hot . i picked a couple up off the scrap heap who helped me and i played or shall i say rolled the dice on some two start pitchers who came through ..its never over with in FBB .
I really enjoy the Browns Fans and Friends League....The head to head format is definately the way to go IMO. It's just more fun. I'm in a roto league on yahoo, and it isn't nearly as enjoyable. I'm real thankful that Bluez offered me the invite last year, and I hope to keep my spot for as long as this league continues... I couldn't catch a break last year, but so far this season my luck has been much better. Well, at least it was until this week. A couple of my starting pitchers have melted down on me this week. Hopefully my offense can stay hot and pull me through...I love head to head FBB!
i have nothing on my mantle from any of those two leagues and i want one NOW ..Throws fit like a litle kid
Gurley may be a "sleeper" to watch since he was brought in by these coaches. Look at some WR that we have that generally fill the same type roll..as of right now there is Perez Ashford, Travis Benjamin, Jordan Norwood, Josh Cooper, Davone Bess, and Mike Edwards that are all around 5'10'' 190. Cooper and Norwood are leftovers of the previous staff and could be put to the bottom of the list. We can assume that Little, Gordon, Bess, Nelson and Benjamin would be the 5 wr. The question is Nelson and Benjamins health. We have also brought in a few guys with experience in the return game so it could be interesting. If we are flexing players between FB/TE and CB/FS (maybe even DE/OLB depending on fronts) we could definitely be getting some value out of the bottom of our roster. It could allow us to roll with an extra RB and/or WR with flexible/interchangeable parts. Who do you guys see making it in the WR corps (i know its early, it just gives us something to talk about)?
TD your in for as long as i run the league which means i will do until i clock out for good ..hopefully we have the same players next season as everyone is keeping up with there rosters which is a biggie to me . i hate ROTO format .i tried it once didnt like it one bit . H2H is the only way to go . just wish the teams would tell us sooner on who is hurt who is setting for the week . they need to be more considerate of us fans *DONT_KNOW* .. WTF is wrong with them dont they know that FBB comes first
i hope they keep Benji & they find a way to keep Cooper along with of course Gordon , Little , Bess . Benji needs to get stronger . he can flat out fly has decent hands and has proved that he can return punts . he took one to house last year .i am a Benji fan . not sure Nelson makes it . he is fragile .
Well, you mention dual role players Dogside...that is what Gurley is imho.. We didn't bring in a highly competitive TE to take the reigns and at 6'4" 230 lbs...Gurley could have a dual role TE/WR, similar to what we envision for Cameron Jordan. To be honest, I don't know enough about Gurley, but I really think he will end up a camp body...He hasn't shown enough to catch on any where else and his college "career" is spotty at best. I am hoping that the returning group of Gordon, Little and Benjamin are all improved in their second and third years respectively. Adding Davone Bess to that group should enhance it... Then I expect Cooper, Norwood and Ashford to vie for that final true WR role...Secretly pulling for Ashford here...then if Gurley shows something, we could have an extra spot filled by him for basically a 6th WR spot in a dual TE role, which would then cut down the number of TEs that make the squad imho.
Thats a good point. Im not quite sure how his frame is, or exactly how Gurley is built..but you would think he could pack on 10 lbs pretty easily and be about the same size as Cameron (6'5'' 245). In the same breath with TE/FB splitting reps, they could use Cameron as a 5th/6th wideout and could really just go for the best ST'er of the group fighting for spots 50+.
In Chudzinski's Carolina offense, Greg Olsen saw 104 targets (sixth among TEs) and 56 of those were out of the slot position (54% -- up from 51% the season before). When Chudzinski had Kellen Winslow in Cleveland, Winslow was getting close to 75% of his snaps out of the slot position. Antonio Gates played 60% of his snaps from the slot position. Jordan Cameron doesn't have to play the TE position in the traditional sense. I would not be surprised to see the Browns run more packages with a TE (Kellen Davis) in place of a FB (since we only have a human turd -- Marecic -- and Brad Smelley) and have Jordan Cameron, David Nelson or Davone Bess playing that slot position.
SAS, I would love to see Cameron play out of the slot... I have always thought that would be a great place for him, I think he would create huge matchup problems for the D
Nagging injuries helped keep Browns running back Trent Richardson from performing at the level expected when the Browns took him with the fourth overall pick in the 2012 draft. So there?s a familiar feeling to word that Richardson could miss OTAs and the team?s June minicamp with a muscle pull in his lower leg. The injury isn?t though to be particularly serious, but the team?s concerned enough about the injury that coach Rob Chudzinski said Richardson might not be back on the field until training camp. ?It?s precautionary, we?re holding [Richardson] out,? Chudzinski said, via CBS Cleveland. ?We?ve got minicamp in a week and a half, he may miss that. I?m not sure we?ll just play it day by day.? It?s only May, so a cautious approach doesn?t mean all that much in the long term. Given Richardson?s issues last season, however, there?s going to be some concern about Richardson?s ability to consistently be on the field until he proves that he can consistently be on the field. If there?s an upside to his absence, it is that the Browns will have ample opportunity to see who they like from a group of backups that includes Montario Hardesty, Dion Lewis, Brandon Jackson, Chris Ogbonnaya and Miguel Maysonet. Tight end Jordan Cameron is also being held out with a groin injury and Chudzinski indicated the timeline for his return is similar to the one they?re operating on for Richardson.
22 games played, 26 rec 259 yds and 1 TD. That equals stiff IMO or does a DC stay up late thinking how we gonna stop this guy like JYD just posted lol
Again, with the mental lapses... in 2012 he was 3rd on the depth chart in a developmental role.. This regime did not replace anyone for Ben Watson..All they did was get a couple of guys for Alex Smith's role. That would indicate to most(yourself excused of course), Jordan Cameron is being promoted to that role and will play a much more significant part in this year's offense.
Ok he can play any role he wants, but I was referring to JYD making a post bout he will b a mismatch. The guy scares nobody so using him and mismatch for a defense should not b used. Now if ur talking Calv Johnson vs Skrine or McFadden now thats a mismatch.
