Good points, Lym. I'm glad they didn't put Manziel in, though because that's unfair to him. Maybe he starts next week?
Honestly? It's the crap posters on the other side, bro. The ones who quickly dismiss fact and logic. I am an unfortunate response to the irrational fan(s). I only give as good as I get.
If you disagree, which is your every right, then simply state so. You are very aggressive in your posts. Rarely pleasant. If you hate everyone who posts here, why do you still come here? They are clearly not responding to your venom as they once did your honey.
In all honesty, your vitriol makes others disregard your logic and insight. You have made great points, and continue to do so. Your genuine lack of likability makes your efforts almost pointless.
I concede... Start Johnny vs. Oakland! Hoyer couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat! No reason for only scoring 6 points off 3 t.o.'s! Today... I'm done with Hoyer!
WT ??? Really Azzwipe you don't know me . to call me white trash is pretty classless on your part . PHUQUE YOU !
Watching the game today like the rest of I noticed some things today. 1. Stop the running game and stop the Browns. This tells me a couple things. 1. Hoyer isn't the QB people thought he was. 2. Again, the lack of Gordon today showed more so than any other game. First, The Jags set up on defense to stop the run and by God they did. There scheme was to make Hoyer and the passing game beat them and it worked. Was it play calling? was it Hoyers bad throwing day? was it the lack of a true #1 WR? I think it was all 3. This is the worse Hoyer has looked in a Browns uniform. Players have bad days but every other team we play will stack the box and make the passing game beat them. Can Hoyer and the WR corp do that without Gordon? They couldn't today! Second, today would of been a great day for Gordon. They stacked the box to stop the run. That would of left Gordon with man to man coverage and he eats that up. To make this clear I wanted Manziel where we got him. Not at #4 but with the 2nd pick. I wanted Robinson or Watkins with the #4 pick. So when we got Manziel I wanted him to sit for this year. I wanted him to learn the playbook and speed of the NFL. Today the offense took a step back. This was the only game of the year that they looked terrible. Hopefully a hick-up so to speak. But Hoyer did look bad. Very bad throws and he didn't bring his (A) game at all.Up till today he has done his job. But if he looks this bad next week no matter who we play then its time for Johnny Football. On to another topic. Did any of you see the ND/FSU game last night? I now have a favorite college WR! Robinson from Notre Dame! 6'4 225lbs with some speed and hands! He is the son of David Robinson the hall of fame basketball player. They must have a smart family. David went to the Navy became an officer and now his son plays and goes to ND! He is only a soph. but man I hope he comes out. I love those tall WR's. Plus he comes from a good, smart family. Everyone keep your eye's on this kid. Well lets regroup after this beat down and get ready for next week! Next week will tell more about the unsigned Hoyer's future with the Browns! GOOOOOOO Browns!
I'll say this...Up till today, I really thought Hoyer looked pretty good for the Browns....but..... that might have been the worst QB performance I've ever seen...He was so freakin awful today. Congrats to those in the Columbus market that didn't get to see it...Evidently Dalton wasn't much better though. lol. I'm at a loss for words about Hoyers performance...The few times he was on target, our WR's were dropping it, but words just can't describe how bad he was today....I was calling for Johnny in the 2nd quarter. Unbelievable. Poyer should be cut for making the dumbest play since Leon Lett....
Yeah that was awful. No running game, no offense. Hoyer looked bad, recievers dropped balls, running backs missed the few holes made (I am talking to you West, Jesus coudln't you see how open the left side was?). Coaching failed. No answers for the D, questionable play calling, going for it on 4th... Not taking the FG, before the half? Greco hiking a ball he should have swallowed? Muffing a punt. Ultimately, this is the tipping point. Do we have the right coaches? Do we have a QB? Can the O line function without Alex Mack? Today we saw the team we feared we had. The D looked pretty good, not great, but Gilbert earned his keep in coverage, but man this kid doesn't like tackling, Haden did his job, Skrine did his job, Gibson is proving to be an integral part, but the second level D line looked it, and we failed to generate pass rush in a lot of spots, letting the Rookie QB run around and make magic, or run for first downs. Hoyer missed a TD, and at least 2 other big plays, and got little help from the recievers. Did cameron make the bus? I agree with Shanahan's assesment of Hoyer "he's gotten better every game" until today. Were Hoyer and Shanahan smelling themselves? This is not what I expected from that tandem, and the worst part to me is they didn't have any answers. It's going to be a long week. We will learn a lot about the type of team we have now. Jax just showed the NFL how to stop the Browns, so........ do we have an answer, or are we going to repeat last year's dark slide into the abyss?
Cute, bruh. Keep calling me names. Keeps you looking like WT. No biggie. Your boy flopped. Lick your wounds and come over to the logical side.
Vitriol? How, dude? Just call it as I see 'em. Unless you (not you, but in the general sense) are a douche to me on a personal level, I keep it purely professional.
No, Sam, you don't keep it at a professional level. You look down your nose at everyone in here and then proceed to call a devout Browns fan "White Trash". THAT, Sir, was totally uncalled for and if you can't see that, then you are no better than that yourself. Stop patting yourself on the back for your perceived knowledge and do us all a favor. Go back to being the SAS we knew before who would just offer up intelligent conversation and at least let us believe you actually listened to what others may say. And before you reply with your now trademark "I don't care" - perhaps that's why you now have the reputation in here that you so richly deserve.
I can't believe how many bonehead plays the Browns had. The fact that it was against Jacksonville makes me scratch my head. Preferably with a hacksaw.... I already mentioned Jordan Poyer. That was just embarrassing. In fact, it was an embarrassing day for Poyer and anybody who's last name rhymes with Poyer..... The coaches were horrible today.... The O-Line played like total crap...don't know what the deal was, but they looked completely disinterested in blocking anybody... The D was good...They set us up to win the game time after time....after like 20 straight incomplete passes from Hoyer though, I think they lost their spirit...or their lunch....maybe both. The recievers were horrible...They certainly didn't help, and Browns fans know all to well how it just takes the "wind out of the sails" of the entire team when you have key drops in crucial situations..... All in all,it was a complete fail, and they can't say squat to the pundits claiming "same old Browns"... the "factory of sadness" came back to life, and it was there from start to finish.... if you didn't see it, be thankful...there was NO joy for Browns fans in Jacksonville....
Yeah I seen him but unless we take a WR with that 1st, 1st rd pick, he will be gone I think. Plus I dont think Robinson is coming out this year. Education looks like a priority in his family. Since his Dad went to the Naval Academy & He to Notre Dame. But I love those tall wide outs with hands.
Frankly, this is bullsh*t. And worse, you know it. Let me refresh your memory: Allow me to translate what your white-trash friend here said: "F*ck you, a**hole". Class up the ass there, buddy. Then: Sorry ass, huh? Brave words from an internet "tough guy". Newsflash: I don't give a crap what some hill-jack with a personal agenda thinks. He's proven innumerable times he has zero understanding of the game of football. I call it like it is. Good, bad or ugly, I'm honest. The people who can't handle that can cry all they want, but it's not going to stop me. I'm the same I've always been. Really? You people decided to hate me the day I said one negative thing about your team. Nevermind I was (and continue to be) 100% right in all matters. Let's just hate him because he doesn't tow the company line. So instead of sticking up for your trash friend here, who -- frankly -- was out of line to begin with. Why don't you call him out for being a douche bag and throwing the first several salvos my way, huh?
I'm saving this for future reference. *NO* Those words are going to burn all the way down your gullet SAS.
It was such a *good* game to watch, top dawg... you missed a good one. :! One of the worst plays I've seen in a long time... fair catch at the three yard line? What ever happened to the "past the 10 - 15 yards, let it ride" approach? Actually, I thought the defense played well -- considering -- and the offense was fine, minus a few questionable calls (the 4-and-1 attempt with the weird option was definitely a head-scratcher). Definitely missing Mack. They played well, but the Jaguars (who had a deceptively good run defense) happened to play better. I thought I posted this a while back but must not have... My concern all week was that Jacksonville had an underrated run defense and without setting up a good running game (which the Browns failed at) the play-action wouldn't work and without a top-notch QB, we weren't going to overcome that deficit. Career. Back-up. Not their best outing, for sure. In fairness, they came into the week leading the NFL in fewest dropped passes (does that negative work?) but had a couple let-downs in this game. I was shocked at how poorly the ball was thrown, though. I knew Hoyer was League-lagging in accuracy, but there were so many throws behind receivers it was clearly early on they weren't on the same page. Fact.
