Exactly right....I wuld tell him go ahead and get ur money and were moving on since ur not committed 2 being here....u know when u have a lame duck coach well u wuld have a lame duck QB
does anybody else hate the fact that showstopper's avatar says "Home Town Favorite" in bold right underneath?...lol! thats brutal Tim...something needs to be done
On the contrary, all you just did in this post is summarize all of my posts into one. That, ^^^ what you just wrote is basically what I have been saying all along. Why would you think I would disagree with it? I have already stated, if this coaching staff doesn't deem Manziel worthy of starting by year end, we need to find another QB to groom. As to the deal with Hoyer...If the Browns staff is convinced Manziel is not a possible future franchise QB, then it would be very beneficial to re-sign Hoyer, as long as the deal makes sense...Problem is with it making sense to both sides and to what extent they deem Manziel a non-franchise QB...is he non-franchise is the sense they originally drafted him for.. The bigger question, do YOU consider Hoyer a franchise QB based on his current body of work?
I know its a green helmet stopper...whats that mean? are you saying you are actually a Jets fan or something?
Irish, its the system no doubt.....Shanahan has WRs and TEs running open by 10 yds in every game...he is making Hoyer look good and he is still not making good throws to where they can score...there is no doubt Manziel or any other QB w any amount of talent wuld complete these passes as well...show me 1 good deep ball where Hoyer dropped it in a bucket over a defender?
off topic......how about those Royals? they have destroyed everything I thought I knew about baseball. lol! they just won the WC and took out the 2 AL favorites like it was nothing...
lol, I know who you are talking to TD. I'm a big boy, I can handle criticism. The fact is, in my eyes, I am not poking holes at all...The holes are already there, I just seem to be one of the few willing to acknowledge them. Dude, I watch every single game 3 times minimum, even the ones we lose. I am not watching highlights and basing opinions off of them. Hoyer has been inconsistent in every game and most of his throws...That's all I have been saying. Truth be told, I don't know how I am alone in this assessment. I sit and watch the games and plays over and over trying to understand how I am seeing something that many of you says doesn't exist and it is frustrating. Also don't understand completely, the absolute state of entitlement you are giving to a guy who is 3-2... Yes, the past 15 years have sucked, very difficult to endure, but I still don't want to be 1 game above mediocre. The two losses Hoyer gets a complete pass, simply because he won 3 games? I don't get YOU guys, just as much as you don't get me. I want a Super Bowl caliber team...I understand that isn't happening overnight and I don't expect it to. However, I also see that some things may yet need improving in order to reach that level and what I see on film is the QB position being one of those needed upgrades...Sorry, that's the way I see it.
Give him time my friend..There's only so much Hoyer can do in 5 games...lol! I realize that 3-2 isn't setting the world on fire, but....it is still early, right? the Hoyer critics are cracking me up...tough to produce actual "playoff worthy" proof in 5 games....but he is almost perfect. Should be at least 4-1 if we could snap for FG's....
just for the record....it really doesn't matter how many times you re-watch the games. In fact, I believe that can blind you to the completely obvious at times...and I say that out of years of experience. and I'm sure there are lots of other crazies out there just like you and me that DVR every game and re-watch...
^^^^^^^ Guilty - as charged. %) Fact is . . . I'm down to only 12% free space left on the DVR. Guess I'm going to have to delete the Saints game.
Good a "nut" to ask...Lym as you rewatch these games do you see inconsistency and inaccuracy in Hoyer's game? Am I REALLY that blind to what I see in these throws, behind and short of receivers?
#1 QB in the NFL on the deep pass....#1 in NFL in yards per reception. yeah...i think you are missing something.
oh my...how did i miss this gem? all i can do is steal an old school line from SAS.... COMPLETE DOUCHE-BAGGERY! (not sure if the hyphen belonged or not, but i threw it in)
lol, so he moved into top position in two obscure categories and he is deemed franchise worthy? Sorry, TD, that doesn't convince me to overlook his inaccuracy.
Well . . . seeing as you asked. Of course I see some. The underthrow to Cameron was pretty hard to miss. (Fortunately, we ran it in for a TD on the next play.) However, I also see him making corrections mid stream. ie: the TD pass to Cameron was just about the same distance (I think) and he hit Jordan right in stride. Inconsistency is harder to judge with the inexperienced receiving corps he has. Did he flat out make a bad throw or was the receiver in the wrong spot? I suspect its a little of both. But the fact is; Otto Graham made some bad throws and Jerry Rice wasn't always where he was supposed to be. ***** FOR THE RECORD: I am NOT comparing Brian Hoyer to Otto Graham!!! ***** Are you blind? No, but maybe you should get your Manziel goggles checked to see if your prescription has expired. To be honest, lately (IMO) you tend to come across as a tad . . . {looking for the right word here} . . . "bullheaded" in that your boy is holding a clipboard and not contributing on game day. And that's okay in my book. I happen to have a lot of respect for a person that stands behind his/her opinion. But you also have to realize that having that stance just might alienate you to those who are just happy to see [del]good[/del] winning football back in Cleveland. I can see some flaws in Hoyer's game but, at this moment in time, I'm not going to piss in everyone's Wheaties and routinely point them out in virtually every post.
