SAS, you were the one calling me a Hoyerist. And strangely comparing me to Gipson. lol! No one is casting any stones... I just give credit where its due, and Brian Hoyer has done a damn good job....If some of you guys want to think Johnny could do better at leading this 53 man roster, than that's fine. Completely delusional, but fine.
So be it. Let me add to the list, though. Buffalo (3-3). Turned the corner. Houston (3-3). Turned the corner. Giants (3-3). 3-1 since getting blown out the first two week. Turned a corner. Arizona (4-1). Lead their division. Better than Seattle. Better than San Francisco. My reasoning, you ask? They're better than .500 right now!
SAS, this arguement about the phrase "turned the corner" seems incredibly stupid, and quite frankly, way more suited for stopper....I mean are you serious? btw; wasn't Arizona 10-6 last year? jus sayin.
The Browns are obviously better this year at the QB position than they have been in a long time, and it is translating to much more enjoyable football to watch.... hows that? instead of "turning corners"
The comment w delusional shuld b incomplete....how do u know Manziel isnt 5-0 at this time or 0-5? U dont so 2 making statements like that r pretty funny
Good...I had to re-phrase something last week for stopper. No biggie. Not only do I look forward to the Browns winning a Super Bowl someday, but perhaps even more, I look forward to the day ALL Browns can be on the "same page" in accordance with the many football catch phrases and general terminology....
This might be one of the silliest arguments I've seen around here in a while! Hoyer has this team at 3-2 (an overall record of 5-2 as a starter for the Browns, no I'm not counting the Buffalo game from last year) and your b!tching and complaining about him cuz he's "not doing enough"? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? HE'S 3-2!!! Not to mention he's heading into the weakest part of the schedule right now and has a very, VERY good chance of being 6-2 at the halfway point... and you guys wanna complain that he's not throwing 47 times a game?!?!? HE'S WINNING FOOTBALL GAMES!!!! If the Browns come out of the tunnel at halftime, and the score reads the they're down 28-3, not longer do I watch the T.V. and think "Oh well, might as well turn it off it's gonna get ugly".... nope, I sit my happy ass right there and watch because they've proved they can dig themselves out of a hole like that.... Honestly, when was the last time you could say that?!?!?
I believe the "stupid arguement of the week" last week was about "prevent defense"....evidently, along with a bad memory, you have no idea what a prevent D looks like.... please spare us from going back through it...
JYD just because their 3-2 doesnt make Hoyer the savior....I think people need 2 stop w anointing him the next King around here
Did I anoint him the savior? No.... Did I mention the facts? Yes..... Brian Hoyer is 3-2 this season!
Hoyer is 3-2 on the season or the Clev Browns? I believe SAS stated facts above bout that showed its more than Hoyer
lol! don't sweat it JYD. If you give any credit at all to Hoyer, fire reigns from the Manzealots.lol!..This is what you get when you have strongly opinionated people that had their minds made up in May about who should be QB of the Browns...
The amazing thing to me is that ANYBODY still talking about Johnny. My god that guy is popular. lol! I don't have to dig up stats to know that Brian Hoyer is playing great, and efficiently moving the offense. Stats are for fantasy football...My advice to the Manzealots; let it go...JF's time will come....Enjoy the hell out of what we are doing right now...and appreciate Brian Hoyer for being the smart, gritty, competitive, leader that he is....Johnny is only one snap away, and I still say, watching a pro like Hoyer do his job is the best thing that ever could have happened to him....This is the big boy league. He needs to mature. perfect situation.
Look up Troy Aikman's stats and tell me if that looks HoF worthy....and then think about the stone cold killer he was on the football field....No doubt Hall of Famer, yet that stats just don't show the picture....I'm not comparing Aikman to Hoyer, I'm just making a point about stats and how they can be decieving) (and please, for the love of Pete, don't talk about all the talent in big D and try to take away...dude was a stud. period) Great QB's make the plays that have to be made...(too early to call Hoyer great obviously, but he is playing great right now. A perfect example was the first long pass last Sunday to Cameron. Was it perfect. No. It hung up a little because he was SO wide open Hoyer was making sure he put enough air under it that they wouldn't screw it up...Seems subtle, but you know sure as hell Brandon Weeden would have tried to throw a laser and sailed it 5 yards over his head out of bounds....
Thats why I said pretty much by default since no other TEs did anything and Hoyer completed 15 passes out of 80 catches so u tell me who was more responsible for the nominee
