The Cleveland Browns authored the greatest comeback in franchise history ? and one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history ? against Tennessee this past Sunday, overcoming a 28-3 deficit and winning 29-28.

?It was a blessing to be out there on the field and be a part of that,? Browns linebacker Karlos Dansby said on The Doug Gottlieb Show.

What the heck happened in the first half? The Browns allowed two touchdowns (one pass, one rush) to Jake Locker and two touchdowns to Charlie Whitehurst. At one point, Tennessee was on pace to score 60+ points. What was the issue?

?Lack of communication, not executing and finishing plays ? that?s just what it was,? Dansby said. ?In the second half, we out-executed them, we was communicating, and as you see, we finished the game.?

Johnny Manziel came under fire a bit earlier this week, as he was seen laughing on the sideline during Cleveland?s abysmal first half. Browns coach Mike Pettine, however, didn?t think it was a big deal and called his team?s play laughable.

?Yeah man, we was all stunned,? Dansby said. ?We were laughing like, ?How are we letting (this happen) and not playing the ball we know we can play?? We had to laugh at ourselves.?

Cleveland encountered a similar situation in Pittsburgh in Week 1. The Browns trailed 27-3 at halftime, rallied back to tie the game but lost 30-27 as time expired.

?It was the same,? Dansby said. ?It was the same type situation. We never dropped our heads or said this is over. We was like, ?Man, we been here before.? Have we grown from this situation is the question. We had to look at it man to man, look the guy next to you in the eye and say, ?Have you grown from that situation? If you have, let?s go finish.? And we went out and we finished the game.?

Brian Hoyer keyed the comeback, throwing for three touchdowns, including two in the final seven minutes of the fourth quarter. Hoyer is on pace for a 4,000-yard season and has six touchdowns to just one interception.

?He?s meant a lot (to this team),? Dansby said. ?His toughness, his will to win, his grittiness ? he?s the definition of everybody in this locker room. Everybody is the same way. We all go to work hard. We all go out and we want to be the best. He?s a great example of what the Browns are.?

The Browns (2-2) host Pittsburgh (3-2) this Sunday. All four of their games have been decided by three points or fewer, and both of their losses came on last-second field goals.

The Browns could easily be 4-0 (then again, they could also easily be 0-4). Still, Dansby likes where this team is headed.

?Man, I think we?re real good,? he said. ?I think we got what it takes to go all the way, go the long haul. We got it, man. We got the talent here. We got the togetherness. It?s all coming together. We got a couple learning curves to get over, and once we do, it?s going to be a beautiful thing in Cleveland.?

  2. U can run a prevent defense w ur base defense is what I was saying...u dont need 6 DBs

  3. No.... no you can't...

  4. that would just be rude, giving him a steelers jersey.

    i'm thinking ravens this time ;) O:)

OK, you are right I looked at that and made my assumption, which made an ass out of U and ME!!

I made the mistake of using your kindergarten language to think you were trying to explain your point...

You used "soft box" above, then in () put "2 tackle". You simply don't have a grasp on the human language and since you can't spell "to", you put a "2". At that point I had to try to decipher (like I almost always do) what the hell you were trying to say.

Although I could STILL be absolutely wrong in what you were trying to say here...because quite frankly, I rarely can understand what you are attempting to say...

If you would be so kind as to explain in English, maybe we can get past some of this argument.

    Edit:

Still with a TACKLE TO TACKLE assessment your your box, 4-5 rushers coming out of that box would not indicate a prevent in any sense of the alignment. In a prevent, only 2-3 rushers emerge from your "soft box" while the OLBs drop into coverage to take away the underneath, allowing the DBs to play off and not allow for a long gain in man to man circumstances in a zone.

lol! Not worth it fellas. It's been a slam dunk in his face for like 5 pages now, and he is still backpedaling and refusing to own it. Doesn't matter how much proof we come with, though the pics were a nice touch JYD....

He tried to change his story from a "prevent" to a "soft nickel D" a couple days ago. Kinda pathetic, don't you guys think? I wasn't letting him off that easy, and I'm glad nobody else is either.

This clown's obvious agenda is to stir the Browns fans. If he want's to keep rolling into the DPL after big victories trying to piss on everything, then that's up to him..But why should we sit there and take it, especially in situations like this one we've had going, where it was SO easy to prove him wrong. The DPL is for REAL Browns fans... Seriously, this jackazz coming in and telling us all how LUCKY we were that a certain player got hurt because he was surely going to hang 40 on us??? Give me a break...He only has one thing in mind with bullchit like that..Trying to keep the Browns fans in their place.

  7. Then I guess ur talking to Bluez or Lym whoever wrote Locker was carving up this def....hell they had 28 pts at half so Im not sure why 40 was impossible

  8. Here we go Browns got lucky....go ahead call him out?

That's great stopper, throw the only guy that backs you up under the bus to try and get the heat off...

For the record, I wasn't arguing the Browns didn't get lucky in that game, I think it was pretty obvious they got lucky. It is your arguments that get you in trouble, and your lack of being able to explain/back up what you are trying to argue.

To come on the boards minutes after a HUGE win and piss on the fans trying to argue an injury was the only avenue for this team to achieve a victory was just your usual way of throwing negativity on a fire, whether in mourning or celebration.

What I find amusing is that Stopper has been here on this boards half this morning and early afternoon.

Don't you have a high school game to prep for this evening? it is Friday.

    I have my doubts.

  11. As I already stated it wasnt mins, 3 secs etc....I made a comment after people starting posting Browns D looked really good in the 2nd half, Hoyer won the game, etc...btw, how is that under the bus....all I said was I didnt see Mr TD tuff guy calling out Bluez when he made that comment

  12. Kids are in school until 3....prep is over and its game day so what else can u do except wait until kick at 7....just look for the NDCL score 2nite if ur that worried and u will know if we were prepared or not...btw, were against NDCL...t minus 5 hrs

  13. This was my 1st post after the Browns vs Tenn game and it occurred at almost 11pm....so I guess ur wrong again Irish

  14. Duff_Beer_Doug Franchise Player Browns Indians C&D Club

Will they list your name in the box scores? If not, hey check out my local high school team's box score and see if they won and were prepared cause I'm a "coach" too.

So your argument is the defense looked really bad in the second half when they gave up 0 points, 69 total yards and got 2 sacks? That is what your argument is all about? That the defense didn't play well in the second half?

Man, maybe you are mentally handicapped...

For the record, I didn't read the post, I just saw you quoting SAS...I didn't know what you were actually saying, as usual since you didn't explain very well...Throwing bluez under the bus is right down your alley, my bad..

  16. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

AGAIN...what was the point of the post in the first place?

You bring the shit...we just witnessed the greatest road comeback win in the history of the NFL and yes after week five, with us being 1/2 game behind the Ravens and Steelers and only 1 game behind the division leading Bengals, we are absolutely thinking we are still in this division race...Why the hell wouldn't we?

That is unnecessary BS that you love to throw down and yes, when you post ignorant things we will call you out...especially when it is 95% of what you post.

So, you do realize that a few months ago you alluded to the fact you coached at Cleveland/University Heights High School, right??

Did they "trade" you to Benedictine?

Wow, stopper...If you are going to put on false airs, remember what you stated in the past....

  18. If terrible towels don't carry Ebola as the Jax mascot suggested, a ravens Jersey certainly does... :!

Anybody want to talk Pitt vs Cleveland in a couple days,

What's the feeling? Are we feeling like the worm has turned or are many of you, like me, anxious to see if the Pitt curse has expired?
