Sorry to get off topic from all the sadness with a comment on an actual football article about an actual football topic. Do you realize how pathetic you sound?
SAS are you a OBR memember on Scout.com ? its the best Browns site on the planet bar non . everyday there are groups of posters that either bash Weeds or defend him hoping for the best . there are usualy around 800 or more Browns fans online at any given time . i think you would enjoy the point counter point that goes on over there everyday . being a stats guy you would fit right in with quite a few others on that site . its free to join unles you chose to become a insider then you get up to date info which i find very useful .i am a insider but will not post any insider info .i pay for it so i wont share it . you should check it out .something there for everyone .
It's pretty simple really. Weeden must seize his opportunities. That's the only way he can ease the pressure in regards to being the Browns starting QB. Clearly the coaches are not giving him their full support. They brought Campbell in to push him. If BW plays well, things will work themselves out naturally, and he won't have to worry about Campbell. If not, he will certainly be looking over his shoulder, and for good reason....That's the life of an NFL QB that has loads of potential but has yet to prove himself. Weeds has gotta play well, and he's gotta win games. That's the only way to get established...No free rides in this league.
Well isn't that special. Throwing insults already. How couthe. What an anagram for SAS you really are.
No .not at all . i just figured you would have a good time on that site with some people who have the same mindset . i have been a memember since 2006 when i got my puter .i have the same on still today . knocks on wood it keeps on keeping on
BEREA ? Who?s up for a fight? The Browns ground through head coach Rob Chudzinski?s first full-squad spring practice Tuesday with plenty of big position battles brewing. A look inside five of them: 1, Quarterback Rob Chudzinski has passed on chances to name incumbent Brandon Weeden the starter. Free agency pick-up Jason Campbell is keeping his mouth shut while impressing coaches with his maturity. Campbell?s 2013 situation resembles Colt McCoy?s in 2012. Along the lines of McCoy being more in tune with Pat Shurmur?s offense than the rookie Weeden at this time last year, Campbell has spent three NFL seasons in systems similar to Norv Turner?s. Weeden is learning the ropes again, albeit Turner?s system suits him way better than Shurmur?s. General manager Michael Lombardi suggests Weeden will be under heavy scrutiny relative to Campbell in preseason games that start Aug. 8. ?You?ve got to keep trying to learn a little bit more (about Weeden) and move forward,? Lombardi said Monday in Canton. ?Then, ultimately, when you have enough of a sample size, you make a decision.? 2, Free safety Sean Jones, Abe Elam, Mike Adams and Usama Young all have taken turns at the job in the previous five years. They don?t work here any more. The 2013 starter may not be on the team yet. ?It?s an ongoing thing,? Lombardi said. ?Tashaun Gipson (an undrafted rookie in 2012) played last year and played well. We drafted Jamoris Slaughter (recovering from an Achilles injury suffered last fall at Notre Dame). We feel like once he?s healthy he can come in and ... we?ll take a look. ?It?s way too early in the process to make any conclusions.? 3, Left guard Lombardi has been so reluctant to share details about any player. Everyone noticed Monday when he said John Greco was ?a pleasant? surprise after replacing Jason Pinkston in 2012. Former general manager Tom Heckert viewed Pinkston as a fifth-round steal who would become a valuable starter. That was before a blood disorder intervened. Ten of the 14 starts Greco has made in his five-year NFL career were made since last October. Pinkston had made 22 straight starts, beginning Game 1 of his rookie year. 4, Cornerback Sheldon Brown started 47 of 48 games, mostly opposite Joe Haden, the last three years. The old man is gone. Haden needs a new running mate. Buster Skrine might be the fastest man on the defense, but he dropped to the fifth round in 2011 for a reason. For now, it appears Skrine will battle rookie Round 3 pick Leon McFadden for the No. 2 cornerback job.
The rookie wasted no time in making an impression at a rookie mini-camp practice the other day. ?I saw Leon make a nice play on the ball,? Chudzinski said. ?Some guys always catch your eye.? 5, Outside linebacker Common sense says a rookie drafted as high as Barkevious Mingo and a free agent getting paid as much as Paul Kruger will start. But don?t count out 2011 Round 2 pick Jabaal Sheard forcing tough decisions about how playing time will be divvied up, or how unconventional combinations of players might be used. Lombardi?s eyes lit up when he talked about Mingo?s first two weeks as a Brown: ?He?s been passionate about football. He?s all of the things we talked about on draft day.? Sheard is learning new tricks, such as dropping into coverage, after two years of starting as a 4-3 defensive end. ?He certainly has showed the willingness to do it,? Lombardi said. ?You?ve got to see him do it in games. He?s learning. He?s growing.? Kruger is the only one of the three to have played in games this year. In the most recent one, he made two sacks in a Super Bowl win. Reach Steve at 330-580-8347 or steve.doerschuk@cantonrep.com On Twitter: @sdoerschukREP Who?s up for a fight? not ready for high eighties .i am never ready for high eighties . this old hound hates hot weather . just turned my AC on ..
Me neither, Bluez. Been nice the last month/month and a half, haven't used the A/C or the heat . Been able to open the windows and cool the house off.
Bluez Said: Duff Said: Hell, I haven't turned OFF my AC since Early Feb.... That's south Florida for ya!
Yes, but you guys down in Florida start crying about your oranges when you have that one day of frost every few years. That and you have those mosquitoes as big as small dogs.
I've only lived down here alittle over two years, and the first time I heard there was a "Frost Warning", I was like, what the hell? A guy I took to work was all serious about it, and how I need to make sure my dog came in at night, I had to laugh at him, because my black lab was 9 years old and lived her whole life in Ohio, and LOVED playing in the snow!!! LOL
bluez... Took a look at one of those Weeden threads and I've got to say, it was like seeing old familiar friends after years apart.
got an on field Richardson stitched jersey. finally came in the mail after waiting 6 months haha. Might be worth the wait. Never had a stitched jersey before. this things slick. $40 makes it worth the wait I believe. cousin gave me the hook up
