  1. The respect factor is on a message board......as far as a human being of course I respect anyone that is civil and takes the necessary approach in life to succeed and become a better person in society

First of all, didn't Pettine say they were going to alternate (stupid idea) between Brian and Johnny every 2 drives? So who cares which one starts? This has "typical Cleveland Browns" writen all over it. I'll be surprised if either actually gets a chance to find a rhythm with the offense, which is basically the whole reason for preseason football in the first place..... I just don't understand why they would want to do it this way. It would just make too much sense to start Johnny Monday night. lol! If it's as close as the Browns have been saying all along, then why wouldn't Johnny get the nod for this one? smh

Unless they are actually planning to play both QB's in some sort of rotation in the regular season, then this is just strange....I don't like it at all. Rhythm and game-flow is EVERYTHING to a quarterback. This is just going to short circuit the offense. An offense that is already struggling to score points...Oh well. All we can do is hope that they know what the hell they're doing up there...Up until this point, I've liked everything I've heard and seen from Mike Pettine. Definately not crazy about rotating the QBs though.

You just don't get it, if you don't consider this place the same as talking to a stranger in the bar or on the street. This place is a "society." That's why they call it a message board community. People on here deserve as much respect as the people you run into everyday. Why is this so hard for you to get?

Actually it was Ian Rapoport from NFL.com that reported how the Browns were planning to alternate the QB's in and out every other drive....Not sure where he got this because I just heard Mike Pettine himself say they haven't decided how they will rotate the QB's. lol!...So who knows? I was going off Ian's earlier report, which evidently was just a guess....

  7. LOL....wow so if I disagree w ur opinion on a message board I can just write a post....if I/other disagree in person they can beat ur a$$ or take another means of destruction to get their point across....we see it all the time in the world....I know thats not how I handle things, but to say this is the same is crazy

I'd like to see Manziel win the QB job, and frankly he hasn't. Has he pulled up equal? Well since he was drafted to be the future franchise QB, I would expect they want to give him every chance to succeed. Regardless of what the coaches say about his progress, I find it hard to believe they think he has caught Hoyer. The chances of him reaching the command of the O in the few short weeks of camp, was always slim, and unecessary. If he had, it would be something rare.

Hoyer on the other hand isn't Pettine's guy, he's just the guy who had the most success last year, under a different regime. So what, he starts the season as #1. Manziel will almost certainly be the starter before the season closes, and if he isn't then Hoyer has proven to be franchise QB. What other option is there? Hoyer has never shown himself to be a franchise QB, so unless he completely tears it up, he is destined to be the backup, and looking around the league, a pretty good one.

This whole JF must start, is media driven. The Browns make national news for the first time because JF lives here. Yeah! I sencerely hope he is the real deal, but don't feel compelled to feed him to Pittsburgh in week one. His time is coming, and with the early schedule we have, it is hard to imagine Hoyer posting better than 50/50 over the first 4 weeks, so lots of Johnny available ahead. I don't think it will cost us the Super Bowl this year, and I gotta believe the coaches are doing what they believe is best for the team and for their Franchise QB, by letting him continue to develope for a couple weeks.

    I'm cool with that.
