It would be interesting...If they could get 75% of the production of the Mack and Byner heyday 3 year window... Then on the other side of the field... re-create the beginning of the Dawg Pound of Dixon and Minniefield... Maybe some of these youngsters can get some special memories ala the 80's success we enjoyed...With the kicker of getting to and winning an elusive Lombardi or 4 along the way!!
That is correct, no hurry, he could actually wait to sign it when he returns for training camp. The money is set by the rookie wage scale for the most part. I don't think they are "haggling" over anything. It'll get done. Only a month away from training camp, opens July 26th!!!!
Can't wait *YAHOO* Rams-Browns Super Bowl, OK maybe a bit of a stretch but sometimes dreams do come true. *BRAVO*
Happy Monday Lounge houndz... Not much of a fan of Peter King, this is a good read for the slow season http://mmqb.si.com/2014/06/11/paul-brown-cleveland-browns-dynasty-helmet-radio/
Byner & Mack, Minnifield & Dixon. Ah sweet memories. Always felt bad for Byner after "the fumble" getting sent packing. Great guy & great player. Who's the next pairing going to be and when?
i'm still wondering what is going on with Gordon. I'm figuring the league will be under pressure to make the call before camp starts, but can't figure why it has taken so long. I fear Gordon's mental attitude and history of MJ use will lead him to hit the bong again thinking he has nothing to lose at this point. Not sure that's true either, maybe being caught again would actually end his NFL career. In the end I believe the NFL is going to revisit the issue in light of the societal sea change, and even the legal changes underway. That doesn't forgive Gordon for violating NFL rules, but does make a complete ban, seem out of step. Anyone have any insight into whats being discussed regarding Gordon in particular and Weed in general in NFL circles?
I heard they are waiting for a date 2 b scheduled on the appeal...once that happens things will start in motion
Browns second-round OL Joel Bitonio suffered a high-ankle sprain at OTAs, but expects to be ready for the start of training camp. Bitonio, the 35th overall pick last month, sat out all of minicamp and continues to rehab the injury on summer break. It's a multi-week issue and can tend to linger. Bitonio is expected to man the left guard post as a rookie.
Well, gentlemen. I'll see you all in a week. Heading to Virginia for a vacation to visit some friends and family. Gotta finish up packing and get it all stuffed in the car.
