So move on without him. The guy's a complete dope.

Oh well... a low seventh round draft pick that didn't work out. Did anyone really think Bryant was going to be the linchpin of our Super Bowl run?

I agree SAS....This isn't that big of a deal. They rolled the dice on Armonty, and it's looking like snake eyes at this point....I don't think they will completely give up on him though. Just my opinion. I mean, they DID just sign the Raider D-lineman to a very lucrative deal, and we all know the story of his strange behavior this past off-season. Hell, he terrorized a family in some sort of drunken rage, and still got a $30 mil. contract!...I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Somebody please post the infamous mug shot of Desmond Bryant....(Harvard guy)

  4. Does Bryant seem to be an idiot? Yes. But, he got a DUI... How many of us haven't gotten a DUI purely based on luck alone? Especially at 21(ish) years old!!! I'm not condoning drunk driving at all... But the fact that I don't have a DUI, is because of luck, not because I never have a couple drinks, then drive!

i have had one . lucky to not have more . the thing is i was never drafted to play in the NFL . it does show bad judgement on his part .

the part of Oklahoma wher he got busted at isn't to far from where i was stationed at . Ada is around 50 miles north of FT Sill . all they do up there is work the oil fields and drink and fight and repeat . you have to be a tuff guy to even be around there . real cowboys that will lay your ass out in a heartbeat . the fact that he is a black man in that part of Oklahoma speaks alot . there just arent any . those tuff guys bought him those beers . when he walked out of that bar he stood out like the Jolly Green Giant ..a easy target .

after thinking on it lets give him another shot . they can work out a contract that is team friendly . besides what he did is nothing compared to our new owner .

As throwback uniforms go, the Packers are among the least flattering.

Via Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, they?re coming back for 2013, after a one-year hiatus. Via Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com, quarterback Aaron Rodgers likes that very much.

?The thing I?m most excited about . . . is the throwback uniforms,? Rodgers told Wilde. ?I was a little skeptical when we saw them, before on paper this year, but I love the look, and I love the pants.

?The pants are the most comfortable pants I?ve ever worn. You ask Donald [Driver]. It had something to do with that touchdown [against San Francisco in 2010, a 61-yard catch-and-run]. The greatest play in his career, one of the greatest I?ve ever been a part of. The pants definitely had something to do with it. I mean, I don?t know what the other material is. They?re so comfortable, definitely a lot freer than the yellow ones we wear.?

It?s hard not to wonder whether the photobombing Rodgers is being sarcastic. Assuming he isn?t, why don?t the Packers make the yellow pants out of the same material they use for the tan pants that go with the blue shirts with the blue numbers trapped in a yellow circle under a helmet that is supposed to be brown but looks like a plum with a facemask attached to it?

Then again, Nike?s arrival as the uniform supplier could make the throwback pants have a very different feel in 2013.

Rodgers and the rest of the Packers will find out on October 20, when the Packers break out the throwbacks for a game against the Browns.

  9. chuck jones had a great commentary about the coyote and the acme novelty company - something to the effect of needing to know better than to repeatedly purchase products from a company with a dubious track record :)

JYD, good point about the "luck" factor. That's probably why I'm quick to cut Armonty a little slack. From age 16 up until about age 30, lord only knows how many careless and stupid decisions I made. I don't have any DUI's on my record , but that's pure luck....In fact, I would have one on record for sure had I not been married to a police officer at the time. She definately got me out of trouble that night....I guess the ex wasn't all bad, and truth be told, I did learn my lesson, for whatever that's worth. That experience changed my life. I sit and think about how many high profile people get busted for drinking and driving, and it becomes crystal clear how truly lucky I was....Not just that I didn't get busted, but that I didn't hurt somebody (or worse). It's not worth the risk. Take a cab. Take a bus. Call somebody. do what ya gotta do. Hopefully these young people will learn that much sooner than I did...

to take it a step further in 1979 i was given a choice . join the US Army or spend time .i had already done 90 days in County for assaulting a police officer .i broke his nose after a wreck in front of all places the fire station / cop station after i ran a blinking red light and T Boned a car full of people . we were on strike at the local Rockwell plant at the time and we indulged heavily in Jack Daniels & a few other things that aren't legal .i will leave it at that !

after the accident i got out of my car bleeding from my head smashing the windshield .the cop grabbed me from behind ..it was his mistake as i was going at it with a couple from the other car . i spun away and nailed him a good one ..oops not knowing it was a cop .one who had it out for me in the first place because of a few things i was doing at the time .. next thing i know a couple other cops grabbed me & cuffed me threw me in a cruiser and was headed towards the hospital ..i wasn't done yet . i kicked the side window out of the cop car on the way ..he stops takes his club and wears out my knee caps ..ouch that hurt .. we get to the hospital a few blocks away ..he reaches in to get me out of the car and i bite him on the shoulder .. yes i was a mess before i was given the option of either serious jail time or US Army thanks to my dad working for the father of the local prosecutor .. they had me on wire making transactions what was also in my car at the time ..a 1/2 pound of weed and a few other illegal substances & also carrying a concealed weapon ..my Ruger 357 mag which i was trying to get to after the wreck . good thing i didnt get to it ..better thing i agreed to join the US Army .. when i came home on leave a year later i stopped by & thanked them all ..except for the cop whose nose i broke ..he was a total asshole who had it coming regardless .

they dont give people that option anymore to either join the service or do your time .i found out that most of us made pretty good solidiers after we adapted which trust me wasnt easy for me . i almost screwed that up a couple times . i was a hardhead and can still be one . so giving people a pass for some things isnt that hard for after all i did .

Tom Heckert was hired by the Broncos to be the director of player personel.....I liked Heckert when he was our GM. He wasn't perfect, but I thought he had a good plan working. He definately set the current regime up with a great cap situation and some nice pieces to work with....Would have liked to have seen him get the opportunity to finish what he started here.

  14. bluez M.V.P. Browns Indians

He wasn't perfect but he was the best we have had since 99 . he did set this new regime up that's for sure . he just hired the wrong HC in Shurmur . that was his call and it was a very very bad one . if Heckert was still here would Shurmur still be ? i would have hoped that he saw the huge mistake he made in hiring him and would have admitted that .

i have a feeling that some of the cap space we have left along with the naming rights to the stadium will go the Jim Bobs defense team .

His brother is the Governor of Tennessee .his father started the business so what family member will take over the ownership as it's a family run business ?

I hate to be negative here but it's a question that will need to be answered at some point .

How come the Tribe is dead last in attendance ? they have a good team . they are playing good ball . the Dolans spent some money this off season to make them a competitive team & people still arent going to see them ..why ?

I watched them last night and only around 9 thousand Fanny's in the seats ? Reynolds is SMASHING the baseball ..after he got beaned he came back with a Monster shot and a nice stare down of the Oakland pitcher who beaned him .. i must admit if someone hit me with a baseball on purpose i am taking my bat and wearing that dude out ..whats wrong with you throwing at peoples heads ..

    Gooo Tribe !

That's cause that cheap-azz Dolans wouldn't spend any money the last few years and the team returned to being a minor league team for the rest of the majors, like they were back in the 70's and 80's. Dolans kept spouting his mantra "I'm not going to spend any money until people show up" malarkey. And as it has been for the last couple of years, Dolans is in the top 3 for making a profit off of his team, which is due to the Tribe's team salary having been so low that he received his share of the money that the top spending teams got taxed on/had to share because of the so-called salary cap. He's been running it as a business to make money and can make more if he spends less and the team loses.

If you ask me, I think he's trying to sell the team. But he's gotta make them attractive to a buyer by spending some money and putting the butts in the seats or he won't get at least the priced he paid for them. I'm guessing he'll either sell sometime late in the year if they're still in the hunt or sometime this offseason.

  17. First bluez brings up FBB and the Monsoons suck (at least the past 3 weeks) and then Duff mentions that the Browns will be playing the Rams in a little over 3 months. Guys, I am already depressed and I aint in Vegas.
