Not exactly sure where the ignorance in his statement is SAS...He is simply comparing rookie/1st year stats...and we all know you LOVE stats..

  2. bluez M.V.P. Browns Indians

i am willing to give them a chance to right some wrongs from the past . what choice do we have ? if Lombard & Banner turn this thing around give them the keys to the city .

we don't have a choice but to support them . how long they stay will depend on how long Jim Bob keeps the team ? that no one knows but you know the league is pissed about one of there own being in a jam .

after setting back taking a breath regarding this draft they felt that there is more value in next years draft when they have there own scouts in place . they fired the whole staff and didnt value there input as the scouts weren't allowed anywhere near the draft room last weekend .

I think he's run out of ways to twist the sadistics in favor of his argument. :p

  4. Translation - You're right, I'm wrong, I can't think of anyway to twist the awful (and in some cases worse than Weeden's) numbers of the QB's mentioned
    Exactly!

I thought stats were black and white SAS?

  5. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

Quite simply, it means we're on very different wave lengths.

Stats ARE black and white. The concept you dopes fail to grasp is that just regurgitating stats does not make a valid argument.

"Brandon Weeden had a 72.6 QB rating and Troy Aikman had a 55.7 rating". Okay... and? All you do is recite some stat and then drool on yourself and assume you've made a point.

    Colt McCoy had a 74.5 QBR as a rookie. Charlie Frye's was 72.9. Andrew Luck's was 76.5, Russell Wilson's was 100.0, Robert Griffin's was 102.4.

Until you can actual form a concept around the numbers, you have no valid point.

Not that I'm surprised by that... nothing surprises me with you two any more.

  6. Warner and Staubach came in and tore it up their rookie yrs. Aikman can thank #22 and a great defense cause he was a game manager, but did play big in some playoff games.

  7. The point is, you're judging to harshly on a rookie coming in and performing like *gasp* a ROOKIE!!!
    Exceptions... not the rule!
The concept is that Rookies will come in and perform like Rookies 99.9% of the time! How do you not get that? Because Weeden didn't come in and post Pro Bowl caliber numbers his rookie season (under an outdated WCO and one of the leagues most horrible and unimaginative HC's) you wanna call him a bust!

Except Warner came in after playing for the Arena League (very pass happy) from 1995-1998, and Staubach didn't eve start until his 3rd year!

  8. So mayb they shuld look to the Arena League for their franchise QB? U guys just defend the Browns players no matter what....McCoy was defended here and he was the next big franchise QB, now its Weeden, but he played poorly cause of the system and coach.....always excuses. How many times did Weeden have a chance to comeback and pull out a game where he was calling the plays/no huddle....off the top of my head 3-4(Philly, Balt, Buff, Indy)...how did that work out?

Alright gentleman. Break it up and take it outside. If you're gonna fight.......go make your own new thread dammit!!! Just don't do it here in the NDPL.

"Hey look, mister. We serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast, and we don't need any characters around to give the joint "atmosphere". Is that clear, or do I have to slip you my left for a convincer?" - Nick the bartender from It's A Wonderful Life

A guy goes into a bar and says, "Quick, gimme a beer before the trouble starts!" The barman looks around the sleepy bar, shrugs and hands the guy a bottle of beer.

The guy drinks it fast. "Quick! gimme another beer before the trouble starts!"
The barman looks at the guy oddly but hands another beer to the guy.

The guy drinks it fast. "Quick another beer before the trouble starts!"
The barman hands him another beer, with a frown on his face, but hands it over reluctantly.

Again, the guy drinks it fast. "Quick another beer before the trouble starts!"
The barman replies, "Look pal, exactly what trouble are you talking about?"

    "I haven't got any money!"

Speaking of which, Crex. I'll be needing to see some cash before you get served. Running a tad behind on your tab, mister.

    Keep the change.

  14. Keep a 10 spot for the tip.

  15. I like this site. I'm a huge Buckeye fan. But the Browns are right there. Hopefully this will be the year of the turn around. Being from Cleveland I'm tired of the Brown's jokes. I like the Mingo pick. The best player available at a position of need, OLB. Excited about the offense. Hopefully again Weeden is the answer. The NFL is a QB league. Go Brownies!!!!!!!

It's Friday , It's sunny out and that means one thing for me this time of year ..Racing at Limaland tonight & Eldora with the Outlaws Saturday night with a stop at a friend of mines annual Cinco De Mayo party .

nobody is Messican but he has a party just to have one every Cinco De Mayo . i may not make Eldora Saturday night depending on how the party is going . always a good time with plenty of stuff to munch on ..i will be on a liquid diet as usual . maybe grab something later off the scrap table to soak up the alcohol . he has done this the last 15 years . i doubt i make it to the Big E for the Outlaw show . my teammates already know not to count on Bluez tomorrow night . It's nice to have options where when i was driving & had a financial stake in things i had to be there . now i do what i want .

    speaking of who's missing ..

anybody seen Jake ? the last i spoke with him was last January when the little pain in the ass Rubuo was being a pain in the ass . he asked me to do something about him . i told him i was working on it . almost got him banned on cBS till he straightened up somewhat .. then he sent me another message telling me he was having memory issues ..

i hope all is well with him & a few others that are MIA .
