  4. Ur a character Bluez...a true fan cheers for any player on the team not for their starting QB to get hurt...u sound like ur 10

  5. I am having about the same conversation on the Rams Sportshoopla page about who to draft. I want the Rams to build the line and most want Watkins. The fact is though, we as fans will take what we are given and cheer for the good and yell at the bad. We are still brothers though and that should never be forgotten. *YES*

Hey blue... Just curious, are you guys talking about Manziel over on your boards, like the talking heads have been all day? I have heard NFL Net say they are considering him at #2 and then on ESPN Radio earlier, as well as ESPN on TV this afternoon that they are considering him if he somehow dropped to #13. Have you heard anything connecting him on a local level?

  7. First Irish, no one on the board wants a QB at #2 unless Bradford is traded which I don't think will happen. There are rumors inside the camp that the Vikings have hedged thoughts of trading #8 for Bradford and thus the Rams would have to think QB. But I don't think he is worth #8 even though he is an upgrade from Matt Cassell or Pounder. and a 2nd and 3rd probably isn't enough for Fisher and Snead to deal him and leave the team without a QB and because of the May draft already 2 weeks behind and also the time for the rookie to get signed moves it back more. I have also heard and very close to the vest that 2 teams have shown concern about the rumors and want to move up to get Manziel. You know this time of the year you will almost hear everything. I would not be suprised to see the Rams stay at #2 and even pick up Mack. Now he is a 3-4 OLB but Williams the DC has already changed a number of defensive packages the past 2 weeks that brings pressure from a number of directions. That being said and the sources I know believe that the Texans will in the end take Clowney to team with J.J. Watt but if they don't expect Williams to try to convience Fisher to take Clowney and thus do the same as with Mack. It all depends on what is offered for #2 but the first 20 minutes of the draft will affect a whole bunch of teams.

  8. Herm Edwards on 92.3 today said the best thing that i heard about the Browns draft. When asked if he would take Manziel at 4 he said NO! He would take Watkins if he is there. Watkins he said is a better player. The only thing is was he said he won't be there. That he thinks Clowney, Robinson and then Watkins will be gone by our pick. So it will be to the 3 QB's, Evans, Mathews, Mack for us to take. He also said none of the 3 Qb's will be there at 26. At 4 the Browns need a player for now. None of these guys are Luck. Not franchise guys.

If this was to happen I would take Evans. Look QB at 26. Then CB, ILB,RB with 2nd and 3rd. That's how I see.

  9. Evans wuld b a disastrous pick......no where near #4 compared to Manziel type...I think both Evans and Watkins will b avg to below avg WR's in this league....Watkins was system based at Clemson and Evans will struggle w separation

Okay I'm saving that one ^^^^.

  11. Again I think the draft will go

    1. Clowney
    2. Robinson
    3. Watkins (Trade or not)

No team will take a QB in the top 3. None of these guys are franchise guys.

    1. Clowney and Watts will cause a whole bunch of trouble with Cushing.
    2. Robinson will protect Bradford.
    3. Jacksonville is dropping Blackmon on his arse and need a #1 WR

    4. They will listen to trades. To many holes not too. But Mathews, 3 QB's, Evans and Mack there will be hard for the Browns to trade down depending on how far the trade down is and who they want. Bortles/Manziel/Mack/Mathews/Evans/Bridgewater.

If Watkins is there I would want him at #4. But in this case then if I look offense then its Evans. If I look defense then its Mack. No other offensive player but Mathews would come in and start that high in the draft and you could find a lineman later in the draft. The only other defensive players that would start that high in the draft are Dennard and Barr. So with this deep draft and the need for starting talent I go Evans and Mack. Safe picks that could help your team NOW! Then look at QB with the 26th pick. Maybe Manziel/Bridgewater falls. Then look at Carr. If not start looking at McCarrons, Murray and 2nd tier QB's.
Maybe you can get Evans and Reynolds then look QB.

Odds are that both Thigpen and Young dont make the team coming out of the gate. Hoyer, Young/Thigpen and Rookie. I think thats how it will go. 2 vets and a rookie to LEARN! But as Ive said I want a WR,QB,CB,ILB and RB/G by the end of the 3rd rd. To me it doesnt matter where we pick them. Thats 3 starter at WR,CB and ILB. Then 2 backups. 1 at QB and the other at G or RB. I like Tate but he is injury prone. If we could land Carey or Seastrunk in the 3rd I'd be happy. But with the 1st 3rd rd. pick I want an ILB. Bigger need right now. I would like to land Skov or Borland. To me I would like to land these players.

    1. Watkins/Evans
    1. Reynolds/Joyner/Verrett
    2. Carr
    3. Borland/Skov
    3. Carey/Seastrunk/Sankey/Sims

In the 4th I start looking at center, guards and safties. Its a pass happy league.

    4. C- Richburg/Stork/Martin or G- Jackson/Watt/Halapio
    4. FS- Brooks or SS Loston

From here on out Im picking best player possible. Looking for special teams help and a project type player. Thats what I would be aiming for.

If we landed some of these players I would be a very happy camper. Talent and positions of need. Get it done Brownies and end the factory of sadness.

  12. 2nd tier QBs...thats why they cant win.....Im astounded people are still worried bout other positions but QB...smh

  13. I couldn't disagree more with everything you said here...

Just read this in an article this morning.

    You could also say ...

Excluding a guy named Brady, 10 of the 13 Super Bowls since the Browns have returned have been won with guys taken in the first 32 picks.

  16. Irish, don't panic yet, Browns say today NO MANZIEL WITH #4! o_O Might just be smoke.

  17. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

You're right, Beach. You could say that. But then that would negate the whole purpose of Duff's original post. His post spoke only of top 10 picks. You opened it up to the entire first round. Big difference.

    Beach-

I am saying that. I wasn't implying not to draft a QB in the 1st. Just not at #4. None of the guys in this draft are instant starters or be game changers right off the bat. Still too many needs not to take a "game changer/instant starter" at #4. No problems here with taking a QB at #26 or possibly trading up if warranted, or even waiting for the 2nd or 3rd round if the FO tabs one of the QB's they're interested in, who isn't rated one of the Top 3 or 4 this year. Not enthused with any of these guys and none appear to be greatly better than Hoyer (who I also still have questions about).

Is it too late too throw in on the bet between Lyman and Irish?

What did you have in mind Duff... Irish and Lym already have some Twisted Kilt long necks on the line *DRINK*
