I have a question for Browns fans, and it might seem a bit crazy. I was just looking at SeeBS's newest Big Board for the draft. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/24522110/nfl-draft-draft-board-30

Anyway, I know some people have talked QB with the first pick and some talked Watkins with the first. With the signing of Andrew Hawkins from the Bengals, is it possible that the Browns could shock everyone and take Mike Evans first? Then you have size and talent outside and a shifty Hawkins inside. They can then even possibly trade up from 26 to take Manziel if he falls (pairing him back up with Evans).

Love Evans actually, but Manziel isn't going to fall...I could see Evans being taken very high, but not sure #4 is in the cards...

  3. Hello girlies hows the sorority today? Stopper, I saw where you said you were banned. Your opinion must of been different from Hitlers Germany on here. Remember Tim has to keep his regulars happy. If the 4/5 leave, there would be no Browns thread. I better watch, Irish and Lym might gang up on me again. Phuqueing Jokers! Someone who calls himself Irishdawg and speaks no Irish? No Gaelic? cad a naire! Irishman falsa! Quick call Berea Falsa irishman and ask them to translate for you!

See Tim I'm teaching Gaelic to your boy's club. One who calls himself Irish but knows none. Must be Falsa! Thats fake Tim! Ill teach you also! The mind is a terrible thing to waste. ni maith.

Seems as though you have no problem wasting yours on mindless drivel.

Anything else you want to add?

You seriously wonder why someone called you an idiot?

You get called out, not ganged up on.

Everyone's opinion counts on here, the difference comes in pointless drivel vs. someone who actually comes in and has an intelligent thing to why they come up with it. You write a post about paying a center $12M a year...Then in the SAME UNINTELLIGENT POST you say they are paying him $13M a year. That is some stupid crap and why you are called an idiot. Because an idiot can't read simple information and translate it into intelligent responses. It is textbook idiocy.

Truth of the matter is, I LOVE adverse opinions to my own. I have orange colored glasses on 24/7, but I want to be put in my place through intelligent posts EXPLAINING to me why my thoughts on Johnny Manziel are misplaced. I wish we had THIRTY Browns posters in here discussing these issues INTELLIGENTLY.

But I will be damned if I am not going to call out a HATER who simply types stupid chit that has ZERO merit and doesn't contribute to that intelligent conversation. I would take FOUR regular posters who write with intelligence over 15 dumb arse idiot posters everyday of the week..

IT IS YOUR CHOICE WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE!!

Call us the good old boys, or whatever, but at least we have the courage and aptitude to explain how we came to our conclusions instead of smacking off unintelligent posts, then complaining about the posters after being called out on it.

Leave if you want, or choose to back up why your opinion is what it is...I would prefer you stay and fight for your opinion. But I will tell you right now, if your write stupid chit on here YOU WILL BE CALLED OUT ON IT!

To quote the effervescent Rose McGowan from the cinematic masterpiece "Scream": "its called tact phuqrag"

    but I digress

I was wondering your guys thoughts...we all have our QB that we want the Browns to take. I know there is the thought that the qbs in this class ARE worth the 4th overall pick, but there is also a large amount of people saying they are not. Is it by position alone that it is ok over draft a qb and not a wr (Evans) who made one of those qbs numbers a little better than they could have been? If you have a guy you covet shouldnt you get him no matter what? Im not saying take Jimmy G with the 4th pick because you love him...but if you are at 4 and the guy you want above all is slotted 8-10 is that really a big deal? with the rookie wage scale you are not going to invest as much money in him as before.

and i think i miscredited the quote...may have been Skeet Ulrich...i dont remember

  9. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

I think it is more about rating than ranking personally.

I have Evans ranked #6, but he is pretty far off rating from my #4

    #1 Manziel
    #2 Bridgewater, close 2nd
    #3 Watkins, close 3rd
#4 Matthews, distant 4th from Watkins
#5 Clowney, Very distant 5th from Matthews, ranking based on athleticism over football quality
#6 Evans , Extremely (almost tied) close to Clowney
#7 Barr, distant 7th from Evans
#8 Robinson, close 8th to Barr
    #9/#10 Eric Ebron/Taylor Lewan tied
#11 Justin Gilbert, VERY close to #9/#10
#12 getting into a different tier of players, although I have heard great things about Aaron Donald, just haven't watched enough film to rank him honestly.

That's as far as I will go, since I don't think they will drop any further in a trade back scenario.

  10. I don't think it has as much to do with money, if you take your guy at 4 and he's slotted 8-10, why not try and trade down, pick up an extra pick or two, and still get your guy at 8? If no trading partner, than sure, I think you take "your guy" at 4....
I know I haven't posted on here very much, haven't had time (been on and reading, just not posting very much) but my opinion is... There is NO qb worth #4... I really think they need to grad Watkins at #4, one of the stud CB's #26 (Dennard, Fuller), then take whatever QB you like who falls to you in the second round, personally, I'd wait until the later rounds (4th or 5th) and grab Murray out of GA.... I think that kid is gonna be this season's "Russell Wilson" IMO

  11. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

Because, if there are only 8 guys on a board, you don't know that your guy you have slotted at #8 is not slotted at #4 to the Raiders...

Moving down, doesn't necessarily mean you will get him moving down as many as 2 slots...

What happens if Watkins goes #2 to the Rams?

What if that QB that falls to #35 is Aaron Murray?

What if all the QB haters on here and the talking heads don't have a shared opinion with NFL evaluators?

what if 7 QBs are gone by that #26 pick AND THEN, you find out that Brian Hoyer isn't the same player pre-injury?

There are a lot of questions about the draft for sure...and for CERTAIN...there are a lot of opinions on answering those questions. It will simply boil down to what the professionals see and how they grade it at the end of the day.

But, even if my evaluation of Manziel, Bridgewater and the next tier (in MY opinion) are totally different than the top 5 picks GMs in this draft...QBs are still the most coveted position in the NFL and it would not shock me in the least to hear these names in no particular order before the #26 pick...

Manziel, Bridgewater, Bortles, Carr, Garoppolo, Mettenberger, McCarron...ANY of these guys could hear their name called in the first round. All have at one time or another had first round grades on them.

At the end of the day, these teams have QB high on their list of immediate, or within the next couple of years. Bold being the most significant.

    Texans, pretty obvious
Rams, Bradford's injuries keep mounting, and his guaranteed years are done...He could be traded or cut next offseason)
    Jaguars, pretty obvious
    Browns, pretty obvious
Raiders, I guess it depends on if you think they are sold on Matt Schaub
    Vikings, pretty obvious
Buccaneers, signed a 35 McCown to a 2 year contract take over for Glennon...Not a confidence booster
Titans, Locker should be replaced immediately, but they may not "reach" if the top 3 QBs are gone
Giants, 3 years of straight decline and Manning with two years of very high non-guaranteed contract left
Cowboys, only because Romo is always the topic of discussion, personally I like Romo
Jets, If they signed Vick, then they need help...enough said?
Cardinals, Palmer is 34 and had his best season in 4, despite throwing 22 INTs..2015 is a voidable contract year
Bengals, Dalton has been terrible in games that matter, in the last year of his contract...
    _______________________________________________________________________________________
Now picks after the Browns at #26
Patriots, Yes the Patriots...I don't think Ryan Mallett is the successor to Brady..and Brady turns 37 in August
Broncos Same as Brady, Manning is 38 with no discernible option waiting in the wings.

9 relevant teams needing QBs in the next 2-3 seasons...Any of the teams that chose to pass on QB in the first could move ahead of the Browns at #26..

The Browns don't manage to get one of the top QBs at #4 and teams will know who they need to jump in front of in the 20s to get a relevant one...

    Happy Monday Lounge Houndz...

I see there was quite the dust up this weekend while the proprietor was off to the races and busy chasin his new squeeze. Geritol bottles scattered everywhere. *KISSING* *THIS* *BYE*

Not a bad weekend. Mack gets his big $$ contract and stays a Brown for a few more years. Hope that he decides to stick it out more long term but that is the nature of this business. I see that Farmer signed a FB. Even if he doesn't make the final 53, Farmer is doing a decent job of keeping his options open for the draft.

Hope everyone has a great week. *DRINK*

Up to this point I can't argue too much Irish. I don't doubt that BB is looking for Brady's replacment. I don't think he'll trade up ahead of the Browns at #26, but it is a possibility.

As for the Broncos I don't see Elway getting too excited about taking a QB early unless for some reason Osweiler is turing into an absolute dud.

  14. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

No, I should clarify, I didn't necessarily think either of them would move ahead of the Browns, but someone like the Jaguars could if they don't take one at #3.

I still think the Browns end up trading #4 and their 2015 first round pick to the Rams for #2 overall and draft Bridgewater...

We will see in 24 days, 5 hours

  15. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

That only happens if the Texans pick Clowney. And then they trade up for Bortles. Not Bridgewater.

  16. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

Which isn't happening, my sources tell me former President Bush is already negotiating a ride in a Presidential Heli from Radio City Music Hall back to Texas with Manziel.

Which, in turn, leaves the Browns to panic and trade up to #2 for Bridgewater.

  17. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Fixed it for Ya, Irish. :D

And, just wanted to point this out . . .

You "sources" must be taste testers in Colorado. *HIGH*

Neither ex-President Bush have access to the Presidential Chopper any more.

  18. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

I didn't say they would use the current commissioned Marine 1...

But I would be willing to place another bet that if one of the former Presidents needed a decommissioned helicopter, it could be arranged. It may require private funds to pay for fuel and what not, but EITHER of the former President Bush's could certainly afford that bill.

Are we really going to debate this now??

I feel like taking a 24 day nap....

I'm ready to just see what happens. I like everything that has happened so far. Team looks to be in pretty good shape going into the draft.

  20. crextin Franchise Player Browns

Farmer wont need to panic nor trade up if the Texans waste a pick on JF... Farmer will sit tight and take Bortles and let the jags take Bridgewater...

He'll then go on to ace the draft with solid selections

1 HOU: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M

2 STL: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina

3 JAX: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville

4 CLE: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida ? If he?s there and Farmer doesn?t take him? We?ll know that He?s NOT THE GUY. JF?s QB coach says he?s got the highest floor of the top QB?s in the draft and is the most pro ready. Engineered several big fourth-quarter comebacks in 2013, showing mental toughness, I don?t see why he couldn?t be the future signal caller that leads to the Browns to the Promised Land.

26: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State ? Move over Buster.

35: Xavier Su'a-Filo, OG, UCLA ? Arguably the best OG in the draft. Sandwiched between Thomas and Mack has the makings of a great O-line.

71: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss ? With the Burleson signing I think the Browns can wait and get a GEM here. Watch the film folks?

83: Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford ? Watched the film, Loved what I saw. Would love to see him in the ole orange and brown.

106: Bryan Stork, C, Florida State (B). Heir apparent to Mack plus solid additional depth

127: Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor ? I think he?d make a nice compliment/ backup plan to Tate.

145: Craig Loston, SS, LSU ? The value here was too great to pass up. I?ve seen him ranked from rounds 2nd-4th rds. Should provide solid competition at the safety position and could push for a starting role.

180: J.C. Copeland, FB, LSU ? Needs some coaching up but I love his nasty attitude.

218: Deandre Coleman, DT, California ? Just a bit more beef in the trenches?

Then we all sit back and enjoy watching the Browns on Sundays ;)
