I'm starting to wonder if he doesn't have a better eye for talent than Lombardi and Banner... Spoiler
Senior Sex The husband leans over and asks his wife, "Do you remember the first time we had sex together over fifty years ago? We went behind the village taver...n where you leaned against the back fence and I made love to you." Yes, she says, "I remember it well." OK, he says, "How about taking a stroll around there again and we can do it for old time's sake?" "Oh Jim, you old devil, that sounds like a crazy, but good idea!" A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle to himself, he thinks to himself, I've got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I'll just keep an eye on them so there's no trouble. So he follows them. The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence The old lady lifts her skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in.. Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground. The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn't know. After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I've got to ask them what their secret is. So, as the couple passes, he says to them, "Excuse me, but that was something else. You must've had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?" Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, "Fifty years ago that wasn't an electric fence."
To all those people killing the Browns draft, here's as nice write-up on Mingo: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...anteed-to-prove-experts-wrong-in-2013/page/11 I usually don't put a lot of stock into the BR writers as they're -- as a rule -- terrible, but this isn't even an AFC North homer writing it. And from the Combine: Then in a supposedly very weak Draft (and already missing their R2 pick), they take a starting RCB prospect with good ball skills. What's not to love? The biggest position of need all along has been QB and there wasn't one worth taking.
To piggy-back off #443... Does anyone truly believe that any player picked at #111 and #139 were going to be the "missing pieces" of this team? Yes, I would have liked to add a FS and my pick was Bacarri Rambo. I had him ranked very highly (R3) and he ended up dropping to #191 (R6) -- so obviously a ton of teams didn't like him in interviews. Give this F/O a little time to evaluate what they have and get a plan going forward. And maybe re-adjust those expectations. This was a five-win team going into the Draft. Nothing done on Draft Day (save maybe my "swing for the fences" trade proposals) would have doubled that outcome.
BEREA ? We say it every year. Cut the excuses. Live up to the responsibility of being the surprise team the NFL sprouts every year. It?s your turn, Browns. It has been your turn. I feel like Lou Brown telling his Indians he?s sick of their whining. ?It?s a regime-change thing, or a quarterback thing, or a pass-rush thing, or draft thing ... or a heart attack.? Who said heart attack? Forget about heart attack. Look at Kosar. The Browns had dropped like a rock after their Kardiac Kids year and were coming off a 5-11 season when they picked up Bernie Kosar. They were seconds away from a Super Bowl in Kosar?s second season. It?s Brandon Weeden?s second season. Improve like you mean it, kid ... old man ... whatever. http://www.cantonrep.com/browns/x17...xcuses-its-time-for-Browns-to-start-producing
Justin Blackmon was suspended by the NFL for violating its substance abuse policy. Everyone who thought we should have picked him can now shut up.
Watch out Gronkowskis, the Krugers are right on your tail. The Browns announced their list of undrafted free agent signings on Tuesday and it includes former Utah defensive end Dave Kruger. He?s the brother of linebacker Paul Kruger, the Browns? big-ticket addition in free agency earlier this offseason. Another brother, defensive end Joe, was drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round on Saturday to make it a trio of Krugers bidding for jobs in the NFL. There are 17 other undrafted rookies heading to the team?s minicamp next week. They are: Eastern Kentucky tackle Aaron Adams; Northern Illinois wide receiver Perez Ashford; Stephen F. Austin cornerback Josh Aubrey; Notre Dame center Braxston Cave; Youngstown State running back Jamaine Cook; Central Arkansas wide receiver Dominique Croom; Iowa wide receiver Keenan Davis; UTEP wide receiver Mike Edwards; Hawaii defensive end Paipai Falemalu; LSU tackle Chris Faulk; Florida International tackle Caylin Hauptmann; Eastern Michigan tight end Garrett Hoskins; Stephen F. Austin wide receiver Cordell Roberson; Illinois defensive end Justin Staples; Kansas State tight end Travis Tannahill; Delaware safety Ricky Tunstall and Temple tackle Martin Wallace.
YUP ..Not at all surprised either . he had questionable character coming out of college . just say no the knuckleheads ..glad they passed on the Honey Badger as well . we are in no position to take chances on them .
After becoming the fifth overall pick of the Jaguars in 2012 but before signing his rookie contract, Justin Blackmon was arrested for DUI. The timing was not good, because it gave the Jaguars extensive leverage in their contract talks with Blackmon, who had a DUI at Oklahoma State, too. The Jags parlayed that leverage into a contract that deferred 40 percent of his signing bonus into future roster bonuses. As of right now, roughly $4 million has not been paid. Blackmon?s future guarantees will void based on a standard provision in all guaranteed rookie contracts that wipes out the guarantees in the event of a suspension. This means that the Jags can now pull the plug on Blackmon?s deal and owe him nothing more, even though top five players otherwise get fully guaranteed contracts for four seasons. Throw in a new G.M. who may have had no desire to pick Blackmon in the first place, and Blackmon could be gone. If the Jaguars are willing to accept the fact that Blackmon will have received roughly $8.5 million for one year, they can move on by asking Blackmon to move out.
Hell, if the wife gave me $8.5 million, I'd happily move out. (Looks over shoulder and breathes sigh of relief)
Whoa! Stop the presses! A positive post from Sas? Am I on the right board? Just when you think you can count on something there you go messing with tradition, keep this up and your karma might break even, then where will you be, people calling you a homer, fo apologist, or worse a unreasoning passionate fan! Sheesh!..............Myself I appreciated it, as I am trying to warm up a little to what has happened this offseason. The biggest concern I had was the switch back to the 3 4 and specifically the OLB position. Well that has been taken care of with Kruger and Mingo complementing Sheard. McFadden's presser gave me one little tidbit, he hasn't played slot so the plan is for him to play outside opposite Hayden. One thing for sure looking at his YouTube clip he doesn't mind sticking his nose in and tackling. So our attcking d now has some teeth to get after the QB with a big guy that can run and a little guy that can hit. Guess they warned us. Didn't get much help at safety but we do have some warm bodies there not great but adequate? MAybe. Anyways if you are looking for some way we got better then I guess you could say passrush, not bad.
The Cleveland Browns could be seized by the Feds. That is what the Cleveland Media is reporting. With the trouble Haslam III and his company Pilot Flying J is facing, the media reports if the right kind of charges are filed and Haslam III is convicted on those charges the Cleveland Browns could become the possession of the federal government. Really, could this be fact? The Browns have enough trouble running a football team. The last thing Cleveland Fans need is the federal government to come in and take control of the team. We see how they run the country, could you imagine if the government took control of the Cleveland Browns. What a mess Jimmy Haslam III has gotten the team into. People were excited when he took ownership of the team that was handed down to Randy Learner. Many thought Learner was a bad owner because he didn?t care about the team. Now, with Haslam III facing allegations of fraud, the day-to-day operations of the Cleveland Browns are left to Joe Banner. Haslam III was a hands on owner until a few months ago when he suddenly departed to go back and run his company. Now with the facts of the FBI-IRS raid coming out, some are wondering if Haslam?s departure from the team was because he knew there were problems with his company. With the 2013 season approaching and training camps just a couple of months away, the Cleveland Browns didn?t need this constant distraction they are facing with the FBI investigation. It is always interesting to be a Cleveland Fan.
Dawggin, all I can say in wow. Cleveland Browns of the people, for the people, by the people. The government has a rough time running anything but the military and I wonder how many chiefs would be sturring the Browns pot if Uncle Sam took over?
we would have a leg up on the Patriots when it comes to spying on the opposition ..The Browns could go all Black Ops .bug the meeting rooms . slip something into the other teams Gatorade . ex lax & sleeping pills ..My Grandfather did that once ..not a good idea .
Watergate part Deux ..who knows how this mess with Jim Bob is going to turn out but you know the league is embarrassed about it . they pride themselves on doing background checks on potential buyers . why couldn't this come out while he still had Steeler shares ? something just stinks here besides the fact he got pinched . he sells those off then the Feds raid his place the next day ??? it mat be just a coincidence but it sure looks like they knew something was up . Only in Cleveland ..whats next ?
