PFT acknowledges the move "would be a shock," but ESPN's Todd McShay also mentioned Thursday he's heard the Browns "like" Smith while noting Brandon Weeden wasn't drafted by Cleveland's new regime. The Browns' idea would be to leapfrog the Eagles at No. 4, as Philadelphia showed a ton of pre-draft interest in Geno. The 6-to-3 move could cost the Browns at least a third-rounder. Per a source with "direct knowledge of the team's plans," the Browns will not trade up to No. 3. NFL.com's Albert Breer reports the Browns won't trade up at all. The Raiders' No. 3 pick is for sale and the Browns are supposedly interested in trading up for West Virginia QB Geno Smith, but it's not going to happen at No. 3. It's unlikely the Browns trade up at all, but the cost of moving from No. 6 to No. 3 would be substantial. If Smith is truly the Browns' pick, they can likely get him at No. 6 unless the Eagles force their hand at No. 4.
