For the Browns to pull off a victory last week, they needed those strong performances from guys like Jordan Cameron, Josh Gordon, Brian Hoyer and a host of players on defense. 0 Comments In year?s past the idea that the head coach of the Cleveland Browns grew up in Toledo a die-hard fan of the team would have been celebrated. But failed coaching regime after failed coaching regime has seemed to quell the outpouring of love and support for Rob Chudzinski. Instead, there?s a tinge of indifference. ?Grew up a Browns fan, eh, Rob? Hey, that?s great, but just go win football games.? Chudzinski won his first game last Sunday under quite unique circumstances. Four days earlier, his team traded last year?s third-overall draft pick, running back Trent Richardson, to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round pick. It was a shock to anyone who followed the Browns and even those who played for the Browns. Yet, a little after 4 p.m. last Sunday, the team presented Chudzinski with a game ball after he earned his first victory as an NFL head coach. What say you, Browns fans? ?Hey, that?s great, but just go win some more football games.? He just might do that. For the Browns to pull off a victory last week, they needed those strong performances from guys like Jordan Cameron, Josh Gordon, Brian Hoyer and a host of players on defense. Talent matters, but it also took some impressive coaching chops from Chudzinski. In his first three games, he?s shown he favors taking an aggressive approach. We?ve heard the ?vertical passing game? phrase ever since he hired Norv Turner as the offensive coordinator. The Browns have the ball late in the first half? No knee will be taken. He?s going to try and score points. There will be fake punts and fake field goals. It is quite the change from the more conservative offenses of Eric Mangini and Pat Shurmur or the head scratching moves by Romeo Crennel. Remember when Crennel opted to kick a field goal early in the fourth quarter when the Browns trailed the Dallas Cowboys by 21 points? Yeah, that happened. A lot of bad coaches have come through Cleveland since 1999. A lot of bad players have played for this team during that same time. The two go hand-in-hand. A coach is only as good as his talent. The Browns seem to be compiling some of that on-field talent and last week it meshed with its head coach. It goes without saying that we are way to early into the Chudzinksi regime to determine if it belongs on the heap with Crennel, Mangini and Shumrur, among others, but last week was a positive sign. This team could have truly folded it in and gave up on the season. They rallied around their head coach, a head coach who guided this team out of the mess that was the Richardson trade and into an early-season victory. ?That?s great, coach. Now just go win another game.?
Cool . are there any Bengal fans to discuss with ? there were only a couple on cBS ,I am on Scout.com the OBR or as some would call it the Browns board and the caca is flying over there this week .I give Bengal fans props on that site & some are fun to chat with . they are active . it all started when one confused fair weather knucklehead decided to switch teams ..from the Browns to the Bengals . then the fur flew .
A cowboy was taken prisoner by a bunch of angry Indians. They were all prepared to kill him but their Chief declared that since they were celebrating the Great Spirit, they would grant the cowboy three wishes before he killing him. The cowboy can do nothing, but obey them. The Chief comes up to him and asks: - What do you want for your first wish? - I want talk to my horse, - replies the cowboy. The Chief allows him to talk to the horse. The cowboy whispers in its ear. The horse neighs, rears back, and takes off at full speed. About an hour later, the horse comes back with a naked lady on its back. Well, the Indians are very impressed, so they let the cowboy use one of their teepees. A little while later, the cowboy stumbles out of the teepee, tucking in his shirt. The Chief asks him once again: - What do you want for your second wish? - I want to talk to my horse, - once again replies the cowboy. Again, the cowboy whispers in the horse?s ear. The horse neighs, rears back, and takes off at full speed. About an hour later, the horse comes back with another naked lady on its back. Well, the Indians are very impressed indeed. So, once again, they let the cowboy use one of their teepees. The cowboy stumbles out a little while later. The chief comes up to the cowboy and asks: - So, what do you want for your last third wish? - I want to talk to my horse, - for the third time replies the cowboy. He grabs the horse by the ears and yells @ it: - You stupid animal, I said POSSE, POSSE not PUSSY!!!
Not complaining about Cundiff this far, BUT Phil's misses are from 48, 53 and 71 yards...Maybe one or two kickers in the NFL would even attempt a 71 yarder...

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Titans are fielding trade offers for Kenny Britt and are open to dealing him. Not a surprise. Britt has committed as many penalties -- five -- as he has catches through three games. It also appears he's been bypassed by rookie Justin Hunter on the depth chart. Britt is in the final year of his rookie deal. The Titans would likely take anything for him at this point. Britt's dealing with a slightly fractured rib at the moment but plans to play Sunday against the Jets. Thoughts on this .Britt and Gordon could form a very formidable WR Corps .or is one kid trying to figure his life enough or do we want to bring in Britt who has had more than his share of incidents ? A Gordon Britt friendship could explode at an moment . do we take that chance ?
Yes! I take a chance on him. That would give us 2 legit WR's to go with Cameron. Bess in the slot. 3/4 quality receiving options. Also we wouldn't have to use a 1st or 2nd rd. pick on a WR. QB is still my 1st pick. Hoyer can be back up. 2nd 1st rounder or 2nd rd. I could go guard or RB. Same with the 2nd rd. which ever one I didn't take in the 1st. That would fill 3 holes in this offense with only 2 rds. in the draft. If we could get Britt for no higher than 1 of those 3rd rd. picks I jump on it. You usually don't find talent like that in the 3rd rd. of the draft. Look at McFadden. Honey Badger yes McFadden we will see. But to answer the question yes. If we could trade him for a 3rd rd. pick or lower I go get him.
Trent Richardson was limited to 60 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and one six-yard catch in the Colts' Week 4 win at Jacksonville. Richardson dominated carries with Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) out, but ran with hesitation as he continues to become familiar with his new offensive line. We expect Richardson to get better by the week, but he'll have a difficult matchup in Week 5 against the Seahawks. Through four games, Richardson is only on pace for 800 rushing yards on 256 carries (3.13 YPC). He is keeping fantasy owners fed with goal-line scores in back-to-back games, however. first round pick huh ..good thing we sold high
Here come the Browns. Seriously, here come the Browns. Led by a strong performance by their defense and two TD passes from quarterback Brian Hoyer, the Browns defeated the Bengals 17-6 in Cleveland on Sunday. The victory is the Browns? second straight and improves their record to 2-2. Cleveland is now in a three-way tie for the AFC North lead with Cincinnati and Baltimore, which lost Sunday at Buffalo. If the Browns can defeat the Bills on Thursday night, they will have a winning record after five games for the first time since 2007. Meanwhile, Sunday?s result is something of a humbling one for the Bengals, who did not score a touchdown and were outgained by the Browns. The Browns took control in the latter stages of the fourth quarter, putting together a 12-play, 91-yard march ending in a Chris Ogbonnaya one-yard TD catch with a little less than five minutes left in the game. The touchdown gave Cleveland its final margin of victory, as two more Cincinnati drives proved fruitless. Tribe in the playoffs and here come the Browns ..sounds pretty good don't it *BRAVO* [:} *DRINK*
