When the Hawks started flying around hitting everything in the first, I was very uncomfortable.
Awesome play by Krecji on the first bigfat goal, I haven't seen Hjalmarsson make that hit in 2 years, don't know what he was thinking.
Hawks still in it, wish they would decline penalties, don't deserve to win when bombing on extended 5 on 3. We'll see what the 3rd brings.
Good game by Bruins, not sure what the hell the Hawks are doing, Q threw the lines in the blender, and it looks like it. Lots of floating and uncoordinated movement away from the puck.

Trading goals now...3-2 Bruins. Bollig with the last goal.

I had no idea this entire thread was here on this board....

Great game so far. Hawks forecheck has been effective again. Bruins sluggish in both our and their zone.

    And yet, it's tied.

We allow way too much neutral zone mismatches that lead to some very nice set offensive plays.

We are dominating puck possesion and SOG's. Just have to play better D in our zone.

Wow...Blackhawks win it. Pretty good game. 8th longest Cup game ever. I thought the Hawks were done when it was 3-1 Bruins.

That is absolutely magnificent frank. I'm pretty sure that's the best ditch post evar.

  17. 5th longest, Will.

Of the seven previous Stanley Cup games that went to triple overtime the winner went on to take the series four times (twice being the Cup clinching goal). The last time was game 5 of the 2008 SCF's when Petr Sykora scored for the Penguins to extend the series to a sixth game. The Wings ended up winning the series.

The winner of game 1 in the SCF's has gone on to win the series 77% of the time and 71% since the lockout (five out of seven).

This was probably the best game of the playoffs so far and a fitting start to what should be a long, close series. Here's hoping for more of the same in game 2.

Too many OTs for the Hawks the last couple games. That was crazy.

The 3 Bruin goals were excellent to watch, good plays, solid execution after a turnover/takeaway/forced turnover. I think 5 or the 6 regulation goals came off of mistakes. Have to appreciate that.

I thought Boston did a little more to earn that game. Hawks wasting powerplays. I had an uncomfortable moment agreeing with Milbury again when he called the Chicago execution on the pp "absolutely miserable" or something along those lines.

Much cleaner game than I thought it would be. Good game by the Bruins. 30+ crowd lucky to have extra day off, too bad for Chicago, shorter break would have been nice.

I really don't see momentum carrying over from one game to the next with these two teams. Home ice (matchup advantage) bailed the Hawks out quite a bit.

Did I mention I love that foil thong? I think I really love it.

  19. man this Hawk team is one you dont want to wake up. every time you think their toast they come away with a W. what a performance and who wouldve thought Shaw of all people. This team is never to be counted out - take it from a Wings fan whos seen this script more times than I care to remember. still lotta hockey left to play but for a Game 1 that has to sting Bruin fan. gonna be a fun series
