Was Ken Holland the last gm with pro hockey experience to get a ring as gm?

I was just thinking about that. I know Shero and Chiarelli played in the ECAC, but I don't know if they played pro hockey for a while after that.

He loves Toews more the Bergeron.

Not sure who Pierre looks to bed this series. Toews may have fallen out of favor. I think he'll pick a Bruin since he covered the last series. Maybe a big, grindy, bigfat gets him excited.

I don't know if he should mess with Keith, Keith might kill somebody.

I only put Montreal and Boston there from the NE before, I didn't have Buf there until sideshow Steve showed up. He and Miller are terrible. I think "sideshow" gets teammates to embellish or something. I found it curious how much less I saw of it in Dallas since he left. I didn't know TB was that bad, I'll pay more attention. I had ANA there last year but I thought they quit the stupid stuff for the most part this year compared to years past. I just don't find them anyworse than Chi, Det, Ott, etc. CGY has gone through such a turnover, I can't even keep up with the diving. I've considered them more of a dirty team than a diving team, but you may be right.

Unfortunately, my opinions are based on sometimes limited exposure and perception. I'll stand by them anyway.

as long as he doesn't continue to call Dougie Hamilton the reincarnation of Orr/Bourque.

Pierre refuses to even remotely use the n at the end of Bergeron. its Berjera. Adam Oates should fight Torts and Pierre at the same time.

I think Bigfat is too caveman for the dainty Pierre.

    that makes two of us.

lol @ "berjera". I now have a reason to unmute the tv for a while.

Maybe Pierre wants to get dirty, remember how excited he was about Big Buff?:

Pronger won that battle btw. Weber and Pronger absolutely shut him down. Buf's only goal with either one of them on the ice was a EN in 2010. but shhhh, don't tell Hawks fans, because chicago "needs big buff" back. For some reason I don't think Chara would have a tough time outperforming those two taking out Buff down low and marginalizing the offense. It's not like teams are going to give the Hawks that kind of space anymore either.

Speaking of Buff, I wonder if he just hit 302 from 257 as the article alleges or if Buff had a headstart and was already in the 280s.

amazing that a pro can put so much weight on during a season, a condensed schedule season no less. they usually have trouble keeping the weight up. a few bacon double stacks before lunch seems reasonable for big Buff.

Piere was swooning in that video. equally hilarious and gross. maybe his freaky side likes the cavemen. we'll see tonight.

been thinking about Stalberg out of the lineup. why is Bollig in and Mayers not the man out? Has Bylsma been consulting?

just heard that Q and Fathead were back to back Windsor captains. thats something. i found another tie in this series and i remember it well. Bruins took Alexander Khochlachev w/ the 40th pick in 11, Saad went 43.

  10. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I'm hoping not to see, but I'll be watching.

Buff had weight/conditioning issues in Chicago too. It was one of the reasons I was against a long-term expensive contract for him. I've never trusted him to hold up, and he hasn't. He's missed time or been worn down for extended periods each of the last 3 years. I still miss his shot, but the rest of his game is either a myth or unsustainable in my opinion.

He was arrested 2 summers ago and weighed in at 287 at the arrest. I like buff, but he's just not the guy I want to see as more than a role player.

I love the story of his draft day. I dig his priorities, he likes being on the water and fishing.

notice you can't see Pierre's left hand (not that you'd want to)... but THAT is the CREEPY part.

  12. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

lol, Q does this crap all the time. Tough to argue with his success in the league. Everybody was cutting and setting up the nooses for Q after game 4 in rd 2 because of the same thing. I have no use for Bollig, but he likes him. The overwhelming majority of Hawks fans, with opinions I respect, are disgusted with the move. Most of us would prefer Mayers, Morin, Smith, JHayes, etc. over Bollig. Stalberg has been on a terrible streak of play, but at least he's a threat. Bollig can't deter anything and isn't quick enough or a good enough skater to play an effective physical game. He has no use for his hands or a stick either. I think this gives an edge to Boston. Stalberg has stunk but once he beats a dman along the boards, they respect his speed much more than they did.

Didn't know those two were back to back "c"s. Now that you told me, I pray Pierre doesn't remind up.

Khochalchev was who they picked with the 2nd from Minnesota in the Kobasew fleecing right? Didn't they get another prospect too in that trade?

  13. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

ya they got Minnys 2nd and Alex Fallstrom (Harvard last I knew and not very good) for Kobasew. That trade was the most outspoken Ive been against a Chia trade. In the end he was right, still like Kobasew's sandpaper though.

  14. who the hell is Big Buff?

  15. Big Buff = Saint Bigfat's role model.

  16. if Carcillo is in Bollig becomes expendable. your boy Carbomb is in the lineup isnt he Bob?

  17. this was of no help

  18. lol. well, considering the video with him in it didn't help either, i'm not surprised ;)

  19. and Weller.....whoever he is

  20. I didnt watch it, I avoid Pierre like the plague. but I just did now I know, what a weird video. I cant stand Buff as you call him either
