  1. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I have a feeling the Bruins are going to look like faceoff gods against Chicago, even without Campbell. For some reason, Handzus has been really bad on the dot lately too, and it's not just how the wings play, he's losing a ton cleanly.

Remember Toews' faceoff against LA in the Hawks' zone with 14 seconds left up by a goal...that was awesome.

I'm counting on Boston's pp to look like Chicago's, they better come through for me Matty. Jagr won't be undressing Brent Sutter from the left circle this postseason.

notice D. Sutter and Keenan on the bench.

  3. i've got no issue with bookies favoring either team slightly. but cinderella? seriously? pretty sure i've never heard of the president's trophy winner being a cinderella before.

  4. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Nobody that watched hockey (or looked at the standings) this year called them a cinderella. A couple clowns probably used selective hearing or heard people talking up Boston's game.

Need I repeat the quote from the guy that claims people were calling Chicago a cinderella-team?

  6. ... and this is why not only running but also listening to a sports talk show should be a criminal offense.

  7. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

lol, I enjoy a good trainwreck lulz.

  8. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Remember how Kane and Toews were really good together the last couple games?

Yeah, Q is splitting them up again.

Julien is probably laughing about the extra sleep he'll get tonight.

  9. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Hawks biggest advantage is speed and overall skating, so now he's weakened the skating and speed on 2 lines. Love the plan, maybe it will lull the Bruins to sleep.

I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm going nuts, talking to bricks and lawn ornaments. Worse than usual.

    The blender speaks!

Speaking of speaking. The Canucks are talking with Tortorella...what a treat. The only thing better than a Tortorella hire in Vancouver would be if they rehired AV.

  12. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Can I nominate Frank as the ditch champion this year?

I get it now, much clearer picture, but a 300 lbs hockey player? Is there enough doughnuts in the world?

  14. rediiis Guest

Torts was dealt his hand, he played it and I really like the guy. He is obnoxious with reporters who ask stoopid q's. I don't think Torts is a good fit in nuckland, but who knows. I've seen plenty of coaches move on and do great. I really don't care who the head coach is. It is about getting units working...that was the problem with AV this year. I want to watch hockey...or even a bruins practice.

  15. rediiis Guest

If they planted a 900 lb Julien in the net and let him where oversized pads, would the NHL change some rulz?

  16. rediiis Guest

    Or Juliette.

  17. I'd much rather see Tortorella there. We can only watch them underachieve under AV so many times before it becomes boring and predictable. They've gone out with a whimper the last two years and it's just become sad. AV has very little charisma. Torts can make any coaching situation a media circus and turn any pre/post-game presser into a sound byte goldmine. If he can use Carl Hagelin as the centerpiece of an exhaustive rant just think what he could do with Luongo and the Wonder Twins.

What color are the bricks bleeding? I need soothsaying.

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I find his handling of an NHL roster much more offensive than anything he does with the media. Like Sutter, the ring shuts me up a little bit. He, like Sutter has enough history of limping his team into postseasons after driving too hard too often all year.

I agree with your take about him being a bad fit, I don't think they have the roster. Besides, I don't think Kesler has the durability for it.

Are they in the hunt for Stevens?

  20. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

They won't tell me what color they're bleeding. They say it's internal bleeding so I can't see it.
