Bob Roseanne was embarrassing. there was nothing funny or cool about it. I dont care what her MO is. then to top it off she spits afterwards - really! shes a fat piece of sh*t. I didnt see the anthem from last night but I cant think it wouldve been worse than fat asses version


as far as Hossa he is an absolute beast on the puck. maybe the strongest on it in the league

 

agree w/ Cutter on this. Roseanne was knowingly disrespectful for her own personal gain. No need.

I'm disappointed, it's been about 6 weeks since the last lawsuit was filed on my buddy.

 

now, there's a good trivia question... who's the jack-ass that started playing or singing the national anthem at sporting events. the Olympics? ok, i get that. it makes sense there, it is a cross-cultural experience. in your OWN country?!?! who cares?!?! get on with the effing game! forget the sideshow EXTRAVAGANZA. " oooooooh, i saw Beyonce' sing one time... she sang the national anthem at baseball game, i think it was the..." WHO GIVES A S**T? it's government propaganda trying to induce a political belief to a large group of people at one time, plus they televise it, so potentially MILLIONS get to experience it. F**K THE GOV'T, this one, that one AND all of them.

I wasn't defending Roseanne, I'm not entertained by her. I'm saying it's gotten to the point where I'm actually more tolerant of that b.s. than the crap they do like last night in L.A. She made no mistake about what she was doing. I don't like it, I don't want to see it, but she did what she always did. I always blamed the people that let her go out there more than anything. Big shock that a piece of trash acted like a piece of trash.

So many of these clowns do the exact same thing but have a thinly veiled show of reverence for the song. I actually find that more insulting from some of them. That was my point.

I didn't watch it again. It started out nice and normal and then got weird at the tail end if I recall.

Chicago sports radio knucklehead on Daryl Sutter.

He was saying that the NHL has to work harder than the other sports at selling the game and that hockey can't get away with his personality like the NFL could. Just normal ranting on Sutter's personality.

My 75-ish year old widowed neighbor is a huge hawks fan, she yells at the tv and everything. She was ranting on Sutter yesterday before the game. I told her she used to watch him play and he was a coach, she told me she knows that and she didn't like him then either, she just really can't stand him now. Not a fan of when he speaks. You can imagine how hard it was for me not to lose it. Sweet woman until the Cubs or Hawks come up in conversation.

 

I have to admit...the Blackhawks were very impressive last night. Winning in LA's barn without Keith and considering how well the Kings have played at home, they executed just fine. Holding LA to just 21 shots on goal was a strong factor. They stepped up to the challenge nicely. Going to be a couple of really desperate hockey teams to watch try to stay alive now.

 

ya bob that was pretty tough to watch. Davis Gaines looks like he has that Bruce Jenner surprised face going at all times....not that that has anything to do w/ his butchering of the anthem. Gaines even worse than this?-

Speaking of the ditch, can't wait for those PSU perjury trials to get going. Maybe they'll give me a treat in late July or August to bridge the gap before next season. Maybe Lance will get in more trouble too.

Can't wait for this MLB mess too. It's just funny how everybody (generally speaking) is so embarrassed about the PED thing in the sport that they keep fighting the past by trying to justify or fight the stats, or by trying to keep refining the testing, etc. Too much embarrassment to just say "everybody cheated and we hung onto the dream or just turned a blind eye to it." When are they going to grow up (MLB, fans, and media) and just admit we watched years of baseball Doc Emrick style (pantless)? It's killing me. I don't even enjoy the articles or discussions about who were the best players at their positions in THEIR era let alone across eras. It's a shame.
