Not a big fan of all the circus type renditions of the national anthem, that one made the voices angry. If we must have the insincere show of national pride, can we please make the song NOT about the singer? Leave the song alone for the ones that might actually give a shiite, please.

Why did they show that dbag Jim Belushi during game 3?

Glass pounders well represented last night, they were out early and often and scattered all around the boards. Are we the only mammal that regularly pounds on glass? Do they know what that looks like from the other side? I've seen a gorilla do it once, the rest of the time every other species leaves the glass alone. I especially feel bad for creatures in tanks. It's okay for the little kids, but I really start scratching my head once people feel the need to pound or molest glass after the age of 10 years.

hmm... i thought you meant it's ok to put little kids in a glass tank... and it seemed completely reasonable to me.

 

I'll all for kids in the tank. People can watch what they do inside the glass. They'll do things like, not pound it.

I loved that Hossa shot. I really like when Hossa goes into "Beast mode" like we saw last night. That guy is about as tough to knock off the puck as anybody I've ever seen when he's going at his best, even now.

About the anthem, I'll actually take the Roseanne version of the anthem over whatever reality show singing star type they had out there. Probably somebody famous but I don't know who they are. Anyway, they just put their little stamp on it instead of just singing it as it was written. To Roseanne's credit, you at least know what they're doing, they're promoting themselves. I'm also not offended when somebody forgets the words when they're just trying to sing without doing anything silly.

I have no idea what some of them are doing when they mess with the song. I'm not much of a traditionalist but I think that's something they should just scrap altogether if they're going to let captain fabulous (don't know what else to call the guy) do the crap he was doing.
