well I figured that you would despise pure evil so that would be Jacobs. and anyone that has tried to screw up the Hawks would be on your shiit list so theres your Tallon.

lol, I dislike Tallon because he's an azzwipe in real life. I don't think he tried to screw the Hawks, he just really sucked at being a gm and continues to get credit where it's not warranted. You can imagine my disgust when Pierre LeBrun (TSN/ESPN) just wrote a piece on Bickell.

It's the player Dale Tallon envisioned back in June 2004, when the former Hawks GM drafted Bickell in the second round with the 41st overall pick.

"Obviously his size and his shot, that's what jumped out right away," Tallon, now general manager of the Florida Panthers, said over the weekend. "We felt if he could put it all together he'd be a heck of a player one day. It's taken a bit of time for him to develop, but you have to be patient with players like that. I'm not surprised at all at the way he's playing now."

He was hired as assistant gm after the 2004 season was well underway and not promoted to gm until June 2005. Mike Smith's team put the scouting together and Pulford's minions took over. Tallon had almost no input into the 2004 draft or previous ones. He lost a fight with Mike smith and Smith had him kicked to color job and out of the front office, only his loyalty to WWW kept him employed by the franchise (because talent or popularity didn't matter with WWW). Of course if you were to read Dale's quotes during those years, he would have you think he was instrumental in the excellent 2001-2003 drafts (bad blood, Smith's guys wouldn't even let Dale fetch coffee at meetings).

That's one of the things that really bugs me about Tallon, he takes/has taken credit for things he wasn't involved with and most of the beatwriters are/were baseball or football guys so they just let him say what he wanted because he was popular. He's done the same in Florida and just did the same in LeBrun piece. He implies he made decisions he didn't make, and in many cases, probably wouldn't make. Voices mad, voices mad.

LeBrun is the guy that got me on the Iginla trade, a number of CBA details, etc. Unfortunately, he's one of the big names in the sport for the media.
