Chicago can't go after every puck in the corners in their own zone tonight. They have to let the wingers do the nasty work. Way too many open shots from Voynov and Doughty on Tuesday. If Kings can get the Hawks dmen not named Seabrook and Hjalmarsson to chase pucks in the corner, they'll get pounded, turn it over and if they lose the battle, the Kings will have open shooters. Chicago has to make some concessions in their own zone if they want to win.

Obviously, Kane and Toews have to be Kane and Toews again. Kings should take some more penalties and really mess with their lines. Q will be shifting lines as it is. Keeping them moving around will continue to keep them off balance and will ease the pressure on the LA zone. Chicago can't win without alot of time in the LA zone.

Should be interesting. A LA win and Kane and Toews are going to get blasted with negative press like they haven't seen as a pair. Stalberg and Bolland rumored to be in LA for tonight's game too.

Local sports radio bashing Journey for no apparent reason.

One of the worst things to come out of the overachieving Redwings' season is that they will have no motivation to change the playlist.

it changes a lot. the 4th line of Paille-Campbell-Thornton have been together for 3 years. For whatever reason that lines runs much better w/ Thornton in it. Take one of the other guys out and Thornton is a mess, as youde guess from watching him try to skate. Claude kept Thornton glued to the bench once Campbell went down last night so they essentially played w/ 10 Fs for the rest of the game.

not just you bob, thats been Peverley for a while now. he just all of a sudden lost all hockey sense at some point last year. still has great wheels though.

I would think 3rd line will be something like Paille- Kelly- Seguin. Move Pevs down to center the 4th line of Soderberg- Peverley- Doggybins.

  5. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

lol, on which point? I'm praying it's not about Journey.

  6. sorry, that was exactly what it was about.

  7. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

don't stop believing guys, any way you want it.

  8. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

That makes sense. I wonder if Claude rolls them out the same way. On the plus side, at least he has 3-0 advantage to try the adjustment. You're not kidding about Thunder fists being glued to the bench, I just looked up the TOI report. Only one shift after Campbell went down....wow.

  9. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

What does Chicago do that's worse than nearly 2 decades of Journey?

Or did you mean sports media ripping on anything? Even so, I think they get a waiver for Journey bashing?

  10. playing a song about a stripper several times a night.

i'm not a fan of journey, or that song. i've made that abundantly clear, countless times.

just watched the Keith stick thing last night. Just moronic. Carter is a punk and deserved a nice 2 hander across the back of the legs but a lazy face high stick was just plain old stupid. Or as poet Denis Lemieux once said, "You do that, you go to the (press) box, you know. [del]Two minutes[/del] , by yourself, you know and you feel shame, you know. And then you get free."

  12. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

If they don't change the song in a few more years, I'll be right with you on that.

I enjoy it for the reaction it gets from visiting fans for the moment.

I didn't mean to imply you enjoyed Journey Lulz, although I have imagined you yelling "South Detroit" from your bike in a yellow jersey.

  13. you should see a doctor. fevers above 105F can be fatal.

  14. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

lol, I have not used : "by yourself, you know and you feel shame, you know. And then you get free." in way too long. I started laughing when I read it.

Keith is a hot head. I've noticed Neal is similar and a few other players. They need to be in their own group of bad. Some stay in the "implosion mode" but some like Keith snap out of it eventually after a shift or two.

Torres, Cooke, etc. are in the dirty/waste of human group.

Burrows, Marchand, etc. are in the trash/dirtbag group

Subban, Bolland, etc. are in the antagonistic/embellishment group

Doan, Brown, Jumbo are in the shady-dirtbag group

(bear with me, I'm making this up as I go along)

Keith turns into some sort of malicious ninja when provoked. he's a weird case because he can snap back to his game after an explosion/implosion. He seems to be in a different class of scary-dirty, what do I call it? Is it better to be a Dustin Brown type that is just scummy and slimy all game or is it better to be a Keith-type that might actually try to kill you with a tomahawk chop of the stick if you hit or slash him certain ways?

  15. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Because I enjoy the pain the song inflicts on visiting fans? I'm a ditch dweller, the pain of others is the only sunshine I get.

  16. no, because of your halluciations :p
