I like that the nhl said that history is not a part of supplemental discipline until the punitive phase. Bad hockey players get a break and their career continues (cooke). Bolland's hit on Richards was evil, but if you can't win face offs ya gotta do something. I foil blanketed Sutter's nose, took 3 blankets. I foil wrapped my house, took 3 blankets. I'm ready for game 2.

    4-2 for a 2-0 series lead...impressive.

Bolland hit was certainly Kronwall-ish (High hit with back turned while lunging upward after establishing speed) They allow it, but I want those hits out of the game. I can see arguments both ways with that one. Of course, Bolland being out might help LA this postseason, so maybe they were trying to help LA in a round about way...like giving Frolik a penalty shot.

Ask me if I'm surprised that the Kings are all beat to hell.

Pang and Engblom usually more responsible than Pierre with rumors, they were suggesting (as many have) that Kopitar and Brown aren't too healthy right now, among others.

Pang usually gets to me a bit, but after Doc, Edzo, and Pierre this year, he and Brian seem SO much better.

I like the emphasis on the hockey plays as opposed to a crap story about their antics in the jrs from Pierre. Big difference for me was the Bolland penalty. I think every hockey fan with a brain knows it was a soft call. Instead of calling it a "weak call", Engblom explained what Bolland was doing, how he lost position and how he put his hands in a spot to get a whistle against. Pang followed up that "in bollands defense..." and said it wasn't a hard foul. Anyway, I really like how they emphasize what the players did the seconds before the whistle instead of bringing in questions about officiating before everything else.

Pierre and Edzo were going off on inconsistency at the beginning of first yesterday, Doc would have jumped in but he lost his pants again. Huge difference in tone and content of the broadcasts. I think Edzo could get back in form if they swapped him out with Pang and got him away from Doc and Pierre.

LA will be in a nasty mood on Tues, those that Sutter doesn't kill will make for tough opponents.

losing causes your game to diminish, and edzo has his game washed out with the tards...hopefully someday with bear holding daisies in his Saturday panties a rainbow will emerge

3 storm chasers died hunting tornadoes in Oklahoma, terrible story. Is it more or less shocking than learning of how Steve Irwin died?

Too bad they grab more headlines than the rest of the victims.

I enjoy how over excited the Canadian hockey media gets about the NHL draft, especially since they generally have zero patience with front offices.
4 players from the 2012 draft played more than 5 games.
Alll the way up to 10 players from 2011 with 30 or more games.
17 from 2010 have more than 30 games...not all of those games have been useful.

I like following the draft and prospect pools, but usually 3 to 5 of the top 10 overall don't do anything to help their team win the first 4 or 5 years after they were picked. Too bad the Canadian hockey media is so nutty. I will refer to them collectively as Lennie, I term I used to reserve for the Toronto fanbase.
