As for the Pierre-Edzo-Doc trio, they all talk too much. Everything that happens is noteworthy and most of it is analyzed in detail and described in too many words. I blame Pierre more than the other two. He's an inside-the-glass guy but he talks way too much about stuff that either doesn't matter at all or is at best insignificant. His voice shouldn't be heard as much as it is.

Good to see Geno go at it, unfortunately for the pens, they played right into their hands, and got thrown off their game. Knowing this now, the B's will try everything in their power to continue with this style of play, if so, it could be quick series.

Now do you go back with MAF? That's the problem with replacing your starter with the backup, could your backup take you all the way?

good post Will. i would rather see Malkin get his ass kicked and have the Pens be up 1 game, but that was alright. the troubling part was that Crosby let "Short Bus" Chara into his head (maybe he should go back to the Kazoo helmet). i understand the Penguins being frustrated, especially with the unlucky bounces (4 times off the post). they just have to play through that and keep cool. in case you didn't know, last nite was the first time since January 2012 that the Pens have been shutout. a year and a half... that's a pretty good run. i expect to see Pittsburgh come out buzzing on Monday. they don't lose in strings and when they have a bad game, they're usually pretty quick to solve those problems.

 

I did'nt know that. That is very impressive, fire.
I dont see the Pens making the same mistakes twice in a row, and agreed, Monday will be a different kind of game effort for the Pens...should be anyway. I think the Bruins are going to meet a more focused and disciplined team in game 2. Will be interesting to see Crosby on a mission.

Do they have a goalie controversy in Pittsburgh now? Who would you start in game 2?

I agree, bailing on him too early isn't the solution, yesterday wasn't his fault.

 

Vokoun should stay in net. The Pens scored "0" goals. No goalie or team wins a game when the team in front of ya doesn't score.....He wasn't that bad. Too many posts and off-net shots. I wouldn't bring Fleury in unless the Pens lose Monday night.....When a player goes down in front of the goalie (Martin on the 1st goal), he's supposed to stop it or not go down. Vokoun had no chance considering it got through Martin.

 

I like how every Pens fan here has mentioned posts that they hit, failed to mention posts the Bruins hit, and more importantly haven't said anything about Tuukka. Some terrible turnovers that lead to many odd man rushes for Boston and some lazy defense from Pitt may have had something to do w/ the outcome.

Probably good for the Bruins to be underestimated anyway.

 

Crosby just likes to win. He's not a whiner. If you ever noticed when the Pens come on the ice from the runway, Malkin is the last player to step on the ice. Crosby doesn't care. He just likes to win. And he kicked Ference's a$$ a couple years ago in Boston. For those that have no idea what their talking about. But as any top player shouldn't do is get into fights. They get paid too much money and are too important to the team to get hurt and miss games...

 

There is no question Rask had a GREAT game. Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team. But as they said during the post game show......Does Rask play that well the whole series? Rask was probably the MVP of that game.......

 

Do you think that every player in every sport that whines can justify it by saying they just want to win? I do.

I will never waste your time by telling you what a biased 1 sided post game program has to say.

 

I think he can...and he has to imo. The Pens are goal scoring machine. Will be interesting to watch this series unfold...especially after some of the extra stuff after the whistle. I like it when some bad blood developes between two teams. Bruins are off to the kind of start they wanted and needed.

 

One-sided post game show? Milbury, who played for the Bruins and I wish they'd take him off the air because he doesn't know what he's talking bout and has a bad disposition when you don't agree with him? The guy that took the Islanders too the depths of the NHL cellar and are just now getting out. Hate Milbury, like the other guys....
