So mud-n-cleats it is, good stuff,. The lockout is so far behind us now, it feels like it didn't even happen, good thing for the leafs it did lol.

 

With Joe N and Sacco gone, I'm going to have to work hard coming up with a new and improved "NHL front office ditch -list".

I play the NHL bracket challenge every year on NHL.com but I don't like the way they're doing it this year. It used to be round by round and number of games for each series. Now you have to do that for the first round and fill out the rest of the bracket before the playoffs start. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rules I think that sucks.

Here's my first round anyway:

Blackhawks over Wild in 4
Red Wings over Ducks in 6
Canucks over Sharks in 5
Kings over Blues in 6

Penguins over Islanders in 5
Canadiens over Senators in 6
Rangers over Capitals in 7
Bruins over Maple Leafs in 6

 

I would have had almost the identical bracket Mo. The only difference I would have is Vancouver in 6 since they like to take games off and I have the Sens over the Habs in 6.

 

I'm glad I don't bet on these things.

 

Great to see ya here skinny. doubly great having a Leaf/Bruins series on deck. Bruins are maddening this year, wouldn't surprise me if they bow out in the 1st round, wouldn't totally surprise me if they make the Cup finals either. I think they're poised for 2nd round exit w/ the way they've been playing. One bright spot is that Bigfat17 has been throwing his weight around, had a nice bout w/ Neil last night too.

Good breakdown of the Hawks bob. you know my thoughts on Crawford, Im ready for him to shut me up.

I like the Sens over the Habs too. Karlsson obviously a huge addition but getting Cowen really helps out back there also.

he's been Bigfat in my book for some time now. Even all the Sully and Macs out here are taking issue w/ him. perhaps tabbing him as the next Cam Neely wasn't a wise decision. this season it sort of all came to a head for Lucic. i was hoping Chiarelli had the balls to sell high on Lucic and move him during the lockout or at some point before the deadline. Perhaps Kevin Lowe will feel the pressure of getting a "Lucic-type" power forward and swap one of his young skill guys back for the original Bigfat. thats my wet dream these days......and those ass shots that are posted on this thread.

 

Give me a geeked/meatheaded out analysis of the Bruins Matty. I need it on slow hockey days.
