Right on Halo, I was at the dakota last year for the first time, the gaurd showed me the exact spot the lennon was shot. Across the street, they have a memorial, there was a group there, and there was this one guy singing a mccartney song, I told him that it wasn't john's song, the group went quiet, and turned around for a second, then he started singing again lol.

Armstrong strikes a deal with one of his RFAs

the disappointing Ian Cole signs a 1 way 850k 2 year deal. The gauranteed 1 way keeps him from getting the 1.2 I thought he would get. This contract makes Cole a very easy to move trade option.

I sucked at baseball (the hitting part) unless I worked my tail off. If I wasn't swinging everyday, I would have a tough time as I recall. I had bad allergies as a kid, wonder if that helped seeing the ball, if only I had Claritan as a little guy. When I was 8 I was told to lean in to pitches by one of the "those" coaches. I stuck with it and it worked until I was 14 or so. It was a bad feeling striking out on a pitch that left a bruise on my back. I was reduced to "defensive replacement" and pinch runner and then rubbed out of the game.

    I had a solid 16" game though.

Funny thing, I had the opposite problem, I could hit like a major leaguer, only I couldn't throw from 1st base to the pitcher's mound without killing some worms, a mole or two, and half a dozen ants. I was pretty lousy at catching too.

I played 2 years of men's softball in the bar leagues, the 1st year I batted .760 and was in Left Field, which in itself was a disaster. The second year I slumped down to .500, and they had me play catcher with the first baseman taking plays at the plate.

I was too embarrassed to continue, even though they still wanted me for my bat.

We would have been excellent on the same team, could have switched jerseys during games in the late innings.

might be the best HOF speech.

  16. Matty any series predictions?

  17. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

I was going to write 'Pain', but w/out Clubber Lang actually delivering that line its useless.

for the Wings/Hawks? I think Hawks w/ the momentum but Im pulling for the Wings because of my wallet. Winner will have their hands full w/ LA thats for sure.

    Bruins (good) vs Penguins (evil).
Bruins PK will be important, thats an understatement. Had the best PK going then it disappeared, they sent out an amber alert in Boston looking for it. Need that PK to hold off the big guns of Pitt. Bruins have to get to Vokoun, utilize their team depth and get to that 2nd/3rd D pairing in Pitt. As we all know the Bruins love a fight and want nothing more than the Penguins to oblige the way they did w/ Philly last year. I think Julien will match Chara/Seidenberg against Malkin's line and try his best to get Bergeron's line against Crosby's. So many things have to work out for the Bruins for them to win.

"Pain" is always a good prediction.

I don't care for your wallet Matty. Sutter really hates me, doing well to shut me up. One of the reasons I really hated the lockout was that Sutter wouldn't have enough time to completely run his team into the ground.

As much as Wilson ticked me off with his formal tear-filled statement, I still wanted him and Thornton to get to the next round. Pavelski will be talking to the voices all summer I think. Brown gave a great speech after the game, he said "fu##, Fu####', yeah! fu@@!". Sutter expressed his jubilation in monotone with a few Sutter-style jokes.

then you'll hate to know that I also have a stake in the Kings. Either way, I can use all the extra cash I can get w/ baby mcgee's pending arrival. Been scooping up diapers and wipes for the past few months, now Im being told that there are certain diapers that don't fit certain babies correctly. One size fits all is my only response.

his face would be so easy to turn in to a Muppet.

  20. first kid Matty? how hard is it to talk the wife into naming him or her Zdeno? I tried Cam with my son for Neely and that went nowhere
