Game 7 of LA-SJ will be something.
I can't wait for Sutter's presser after the game.

I gotta go with the Kings in this one. Quick and the boys will be too much for the Sharks. Home teams rule in this series.

I never underestimate the power of the Sutter to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. (I'm choosing to ignore recent history)

Heard Pens are "the Miami Heat" from one of the Bruins' top skaters.

  5. Gotta love the penalty shot. Congrats to the hawks for comin back in teh series. All the marbles next game. Rainy n cold today fittingly after last night

Frolik is 3 for 14 lifetime on shootouts/ps.
Detroit didn't have to burn 2 minutes of their top players' ice time
Chicago scored 3 of their previous 5 pps with plenty of good looks on the 2 they didn't score on.

I thought the penalty shot call heavily favored the wings given the circumstances. I wanted the pp, for anything, just to burn out more time and legs on Detroit's top players.

I was surprised they made the ps call, but it was entirely justified. Colaiacovo's decision to shoot that puck was far worse than anything the refs could have done to the wings given the circumstances. The whole sequence was because of a massive brain-fart ridden shift by Colaiacovo.

St Bigfat has spoken, you all better listen because he will rip your heads off if he can ever learn how to crossover and catch you.

thats a good question. things could be ugly w/out him in Ottawa.

Ya I would think that they'll wait it out 1 more year. Richards played really well down the stretch to get them in, he still has something in the tank. Decision will probably be open to the new coach.

    yuuuup.

    Just heard an Edzo interview.

He hated the penalty shot call for a number of reasons, including the non-penalty shots called for 2 Saad breakaways (for you merc).

They were asking him to throw in a few phrases in game 7 for them and he said:
"I would, if I can get a word in" referencing Doc and Pierre.

So the radio show starts jumping on Pierre and going in an obvious direction, at which point, Edzo holds back a laugh and claims his signal is breaking up. Anyway, it was either a statement of frustration with Pierre, Doc, or the broadcast setup or he was throwing some raw meat to the dogs.

that is one clever way of giving Pierre/Doc the finger... i just liked Edzo a little bit better than i did before.
    M0AR RAW M3AT!!!

  11. Thank God I get to watch these games on CBC.... it's wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better then the alternative.

local radio just referred to Pierre as the "penis with glasses".

so, i'm preparing to meet "8ball" on Suffolk St in about an hour. it's raining, and he's probably made of sugar, so in fear of melting, i'm guessing he won't show up. bringing a hammer anyways, just in case. did a little research on this clown... Brian Donohue, has a facebook account (doesn't every teenage girl?), fave book: The Westies, fave TV show: Sopranos, Law & Order, and Jeopardy; favorite movies: State of Grace and get this, Ice Age and Ice Age 3. Ice Age 2 must've been too deep. so, now i'm thinking instead of a hammer, i should bring a wad of cotton candy for this joker. thoughts? suggestions?

Just stay home. It's crappy out. Go out later.

i actually met Sir Paul a few years ago, in one of the most unlikely places. my friend and i were having lunch at a greasy spoon diner called Poppy's on 10th Ave (around 30th St, i think). this couple walks in and its Paul and his fiance' (at the time, now wife), can't recall her name at the moment (post-Heather Mills). anyway, he asks if they have veggie-burgers and Poppy says, "yep!" so i approached him and introduced myself and told him that my step-dad was a HUGE fan and asked if he would mind taking a quick photo. he was very obliging, not the stuck-up PoS you'd might associate with a celebrity of that magnitude. coincidentally, i've been in John and Yoko's apartment at the Dakota 4 times and never once actually met Yoko. apparently, she doesn't talk to "commoners". i don't have a big problem with that, and i have other stories that go right in step with that attitude from other celebrities as well. if you want to hear more... that was some tangent. the mind is a weird thing... well, at least mine is. oh, i almost forgot... as Paul left the diner and the door closed, my buddy says (sort of loudly) "The wrong one died!", i'm fairly certain he was joking.

  18. being a former college pitcher I can appreciate the brush back pitch, used it often. but that was more from the movie Major League.....'just a bit outside'. I do however like Dustys take on that, that may be a first

bob uecker was great in that movie. i pitched from Little League to HS, wasn't quite good enough beyond that.
