The Ditch part deux

Lots of glass pounders. Impressive display.

 

The "whistlers" came out last night. One of them was in the 100 level 3 rows in front of me, I kept yelling "what the hell are you doing?" but he thought I was yelling at something on the ice. It was shortlived, but enough to get the voices going. There were 7 or 8 whistlers. Thankfully, a playoff game has enough energy in the building to keep the whistlers, not whistling.

Decent number of Redwings fans there, most of them were very good fans of the game from what I saw...and then there were the two behind me. Dedicated fans, but I think they were Ken and Mick's nephews. Between them and the broken sticks and the guy in the corner pounding glass, I thought of this thread a few times.

 

Of the numerous hockey games ive been to over the years, I have on rare occasion sat next to the glass. I have never, ever, felt the urge to even touch the glass let alone pound on it. I dont understand it.

when i "pound the glass", i usually have a $50 bill hanging from one nostril. the only other appropriate glass pounding i can think of would be (an) attractive female(s) with 36 Cs or higher hand-jobbing my car (while i'm sitting in it). now that, i would find amusing.

the 'glass pounders' has to be my biggest pet peeve in all of sports - that is annoying beyond belief!! those people are the worst
