The Ditch part deux

Sorry, I should have been more clear - I was strictly commenting on the Flyers' chance at the playoffs, nothing else.

The East in general is a bloodbath - the Atlantic in particular. It doesn't really matter that the Flyers have come back over the course of the season - the generous estimate for playoff chances is 5%. -17 goal differential. They're 3 games out of the playoffs as it stands. Carolina is playing well, and Columbus is still playing .500 hockey in a slump. If Columbus and Montreal completely nosedive, Philadelphia can get in, but both of those teams would need to decide they just don't want to play in the postseason.

Again, enjoy it for what it's worth. I know I will. But we've gotta keep our hopes realistic, as fans of teams likely to miss the postseason.

 

Donald Fehr, Bettman and one other top hockey executive are in a little hot water for not attending the funeral services of Ted Lindsay. Yikes.

 

well considering where they were two months ago, the postseason was a dream then and a dream now. i'm looking forward to FA in July to see what Fletcher does with his wallet full of open cap space dollars ! Even if the Flyers got into the playoffs, I don't see them winning a game, let alone a series.

 

It's looking like Quinn Hughes will play for the Canucks this week and start with the NY Rangers.

Yahoo.......this kid is the real deal and will help Vancouver moving forward.

same for the Bruins (vs TB) skinny and this is why we're both f*cked.
Toronto and Boston are gonna go toe to toe and grind out that first Atlantic division series. One of us will be left standing, but all but likely be beaten up from a long series. TB will most likely be the more rested team while being the superior one.
We need certain things to happen.........sprained ankles, players getting the yips, broken thumb maybe?

 

Tampa is sick, looks like they really want lord stanley.

 

dline-only 3 pts out now. not a bad night. now their schedule is insanely tough with the islander somehow again and the Caps and Leafs. Tack on the Canes twice, the Rangers, Blackhawks and Blues. Columbus is dropping fast. Flyers could sneak in !

 

Stamkos doesn't like the playoff format. wants the old 1vs8, 2vs7, 3vs6 and 4vs5 format. i agree. I still want the division names to be Patrick, Adams, Norris and Smythe too.

 

Canes are right in there now, the jerks, habs on the out looking in.

 

I like the jerks but I don’t think their game will translate well to playoff hockey.

 

It's a good story, they could upset in the first round though.
