The sabres have a clear advantage over all the other American teams when it comes to players from southern ontario and the GTA. Mike Peca was a classic example of a player that liked to play in buffalo because he could easily visit family anytime he wanted with a 1.5 hr drive. I played in the same rink as a kid as peca (habitant arena).
The happiness factor could push for a more team friendly deal as it looks like skinners at his best in buffalo. Also, a team going north of $9M should be weary that he'll retreat to career avgs or lower without eichel.

And, let's not forget that Skinner is not a big man (although he is tough as nails) and he had a concussion history with the Canes.

He's one of the best skaters in the league. He has clicked with Jack. Still, the caution lights are flashing.

Flyers rolling through again 4-1 after two. Just looking at the standings, real tough for them to make it.

The WC is so pathetic this year, the ducks and kings are only 4 pts out of a playoff spot.

Getting hot at the right time. Kinda strange that the Blackhawks and Kings are the other 2 hot teams in the West...

Flyers beat the Ducks so bad they fired their coach after the game! Ouch! Carter Hart again looks dominant. Tied some rookie record for more consecutive wins before turning 21. Playoffs or not, Hart is improving the overall play of the Flyers for the rest of this season and beyond. After decades of not having a legit #1 goalie, he's nice to see.

Huge game vs the Pens tonight. A real test for sure.

    :PC:
The hawks and kings were never as bad as they showed in the standings, too many big names.

But the blues, just waiting for playoffs:PC:

Kovalchuk to the Bs looks like it might happen. Maybe stone and duchene could go somewhere.

Evander easily on his way to his best year ever.

Not good, Markstrom gets hurt in practice and they throw 19 yr old dipietro to the wolves.

    7-2

the goal that was waved off for the ref blowing the whistle too early was brutal. there's an audio feed of the pens announcers bashing the refs for blowing the call. changed the game right there. any momentum the Flyers were building were taken from them with that call and review.
