Vegas is famous for guys coming to town with ambitions of becoming career gamblers never to be seen again. The saying goes, you drive into vegas in a $60k cadillac, you end up leaving in a $60k bus.

 

I really didn't know those guys, most of the guys I worked with were from Cleveland or Pittsburgh or New York looking to work in the winter. They had wives and motorhomes.

 

Nothing wrong with trying to get by, outside of the strip I see a lot of people just getting by.

 

Making a living from gambling is a full-time job and you have to be really good at it. There's guys that go there with their life savings, they'll leave broke after a year never to be seen or heard from again.
