when Ovenchicken first moved to the US he lived with the McPhees and hung out with/was primary babysitter for Graham Mcphee, now playing at BC. the mini hockey games were epic evidently.

 

this got brought up 2 weeks ago. I don't think Seattle gets nearly what Vegas got nor the depth of the expansion player pool availability. Some argued for the amount of money their owner will pay for the franchise, they will get what Vegas got. I don't agree. And now Vegas is in the Stanley Cup Finals in year 1 of existence, it's Cup finals or bust for the Seattle Totems in year 1.

 

Vegas GM better have won GM of the year.

Even as an award voted on before the playoffs it has to be him.

 

Him and Gallant are probably going to win it. Bednar and Cassidy? No chance honestly.

 

You would need to give Tallon a piece of that award, too. He's equally responsible. The SOB.

In the Garth Snow Award, the winner is again Garth Snow.

Elias Pettersson signs with the Canucks. Unbelievable that this skinny kid won every award in the Swedish league. Nice cast on his broken thumb too.

What would happen if byfuglien were to hammer this guy? I could see him ending up in the cheapies.

 

I'm torn, ... I think that an expansion team winning the Cup in their first year of existence sets a bad precedent.

So I'm only able to get behind Vegas winning 99.999%

 

I just think the nucks need a McSorley type of player and I'm not talking Reaves. Jadnovich or Reid may make the club on grit alone.

 

Nucks need a Tom Wilson type.

 

Howzabout Haley? I guess Wilson scores goals and punches well.

 

Both would be good, but I like Wilson a bit better. If you can throw 'em and play the game, your my kind of player.

edit - Haley can play too,. I kinda worded that to make it sound like Haley cant play, that's not the case.
