guess i'm crazy. it was clearly a goal. Hornqvist's stick was across the line when he pushed the puck over it.

 

That is where you are 100% wrong. His stick never crossed the line. It actually hit the post and never crossed at all.

If you go frame-by-frame from the overhead view you see the puck sits just in the net for a few frames before being kicked out. The league got a picture of the puck in this resting position and it looks to just be in but the snow in the way is obscuring the line and edge of the puck so they had the play stand.

 

point is... i saw it. you saw. the NHL has every angle to see it... but doesn't see it. home cookin'.

 

I am just guessing by the odds that the puck is over. Take away the snow blocking the edge of the puck and the goal line and you cannot be 100% that the puck is completely over. They simply let the call on the ice stand. And don't go telling me that it should have been called a goal on the ice when it was so close.

 

its a sad way to get a win in the playoffs, but considering the futile circumstances, i'm sure the Caps will take it.

 

Caps won by more than 1 before empty netters anyways.
