Meanwhile, you're not the only one entitled to say negative things about the hockey team from Philadelphia. (Although, in my case, I've said much more positive things than negative. The whole THTFPhilly thing is a 45 year old inside joke. Everyone seems to get that; same with THTFBoston thing.)

Yeah, they didn't show particularly well. To their credit, it was still tied until the last few minutes, with plenty of tense moments, even with a poor showing. I'll have to go back and watch the replay to see what the call on Matheson was, in the 1st - they scored immediately on the ensuing PP. From 5 rows up, it looked like a perfectly fine defensive play, but there was a lot going on. Ultimately, a fun one to watch and be in attendance for. If that's the Bruins not playing well, the league doesn't want them to turn it on. But it's always good to be in attendance for a Bruins' loss.

Luongo with a win in his 1,000th NHL game. The third goalie to do it, and he's still plugging away at the age of 39. I mean, the guy is just unreal. He still crushes it. What a guy.

Barkov gets his 100th NHL goal, and then goes out after a tough hit along the boards. It happened maybe 15 feet in front of me, and let me tell you - that hit sounded different than all the others. You knew it was bad. I hope he's gonna be okay, man. Barkov doesn't sit out unless something's wrong. I'm all kinds of anxious, man.

 

Yeah, but I'm hoping they're not looking at it that way. You can't. Wake up and spend your day preparing for a must-win, no matter what.

That said, it will be interesting to see what the coaches do. If the Flyers win, do you dress Borgstrom to get him playing time, given that the game no longer really counts? Hopefully we don't find out. Panthers deserve wins with the way they're fighting, and if the Flyers lose one... I cancelled a date for this, Saturday night. Don't let me down, boys.

 

the Sabres should be a win, but again, if the Flyers win, it's over and they will know what they gotta do bf the puck drops tomorrow night.

Alright, Cat. Let me exchange that word. It doesn't change my intent, or anyone else's interpretation. The Panthers have been earning wins (past tense). They deserve (or "should likely earn, based on past performance") wins going forward (future tense).
