We have them in the East as well on the stat sheets but they are all in the same division. We were this close to having Pittsburgh be the final wildcard too. Imagine that pod of 4 teams.

 

There's no easy playoff matchups, but the leafs fair much better in the east. I would worry about the jets and preds.

 

Boston may be our worst possible matchup so I dunno. I am hoping for Tampa but it is looking like we are getting Boston.

CHICAGO -- Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman will remain coach and general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks, respectively, next season, president John McDonough said Thursday.

The Blackhawks (33-37-10) are last in the Central Division and will miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2007-08.

McDonough said he thinks Bowman and Quenneville are the right people to put the Blackhawks back on track after their worst season in a decade.

"I met with Stan about a week ago, talked about his future, talked about Joel's future," McDonough said. "I believe in continuity. They've had an incredible body of success. We're not tethered to the past. This has been a very disappointing year and our expectations are incredibly high. We're not going to deviate from those expectations. But I believe both Stan and Joel are the guys that are going to bring this back."

flyers have 3 30 goal scorers, 2 guys in the top 5 of assists and 2 guys in the top 20 in scoring. if they had any real 3rd and 4th liners and a real goalie, they would scare the damn league.

 

well they only have 1 game left. florida has 2. if the flyers lose, then it's relying on Florida to lose one out of their last 2 games left to sneak in on the backdoor.

 

Flyers play at 3 tomorrow and Florida plays at 7:30, so the Panthers will know what they need to do or not, by game time.
