If it helps, you also have to remember that we spend months at 100+ with 100% humidity, and the threat of hurricanes always right off the coast. We get thunderstorms that last days, or dump feet of rain in hours. Our cost of living down here is so high that it doesn't make financial sense for someone my age or income bracket to live here. Mosquitos make going outside after sundown akin to a horror movie, and they're not always the worst thing roaming around.

You know what I'd kill to see, right now? A hill. Hell, I'm spending a bunch of money and taking time off work just to go see what it's like to see the seasons change, and spend some time at a higher elevation.

Trust me, it sounds nice around this time of year, to be down here. But there's a reason people flock down here in the winter, and run back up north in the summer. If it was worth being here year round, they'd stay...

Pray you get someone that understands the Canadian carriers are crooks and hooks you up.

The west coast has easy going liberal women, also maritimes.

Best time of year to visit New England is the fall dline. I really like heading up to Portland Maine specifically around that time.

I'll keep it in mind. I think that's probably the case in most places. My plan this year to go kayaking in NC during the fall (2nd-3rd week of Oct), and Chicago for the winter (need to visit family and get nostalgic). I'll put Maine and the New England area on my list, my man. I appreciate the recommendation.

I don't understand when people around here go to Florida in the summer for a vacation. Even more puzzling are adults that I know who go to Disney World every year.

You should hold a sign, "Why lie? I have change in my pocket, just not for you.

Crawford out doesn't help. Toews blows goats this season. Keith a -19, Kane a -11. After the top 6, there's zero offense... they just arnt deep. Those are just a few things. They looked good against the Kings, but we'll see if that carries over down the stretch, but man, how the mighty have fallin'.

Another crash-n-burn team is the St.Louis Blues, man did they drop like a rock.

    Blues and hocks, has beens.

It's true, once they paid out their four or five best players, there's nothing left. The best players are getting shutdown and playing hard minutes against top competition.

I feel like Duncan Keith’s drop in play has really killed them also.

Lots of questions with the Blues. If they keep this up and finish in the bottom third in the standings will they sell off?

All the players they've lost over the years, plus getting smoked on that Panarin for Saad deal.

brutal defensive game from the Flyers. Goalie was left high and dry on several goals. this was a statement game to show the Flyers can stay with the elite of the East. Up 2 goals to give up 6 and lose in a shootout. they failed to make a statement. could they have bolstered the lineup at the trade deadline? sure. I heard from Comcast they spoke to Buffalo about E. Kane and didn't want to pay the price SJ did. Well when SJ is heading farther into the playoffs and the Flyers are on the golf course, you know why. SJ didn't give up all that much for Kane, considering his talent level. The key is can they resign him ? Hextall is hoarding draft picks like an Arab trader and a drum of oil. Hope they work out for him. Lord knows we won't see them play in Philly for 4-5 yrs.

Good point, and Stan had seen both Saad/Panarin up close so well.
